On the Ecstasy of Being a Cloud

Flying over the earth in ecstatic joy and mirth. Feeling billowy and devastatingly sweet. Free as I have ever felt. Unencumbered by a human body. It was a redemption most divine. A new beginning, and time was all mine. No approval did I need nor seek. I was resoundingly complete! Gratitude filled my cloud soul, as up in the universe I rose. I belonged to all the earth, unlimitedly. Humanity, ah, humanity admired my cloud shapes, endlessly. And oh, I loved them so! Such astounding peace I feel and eternal freedom. So sings my aloft, cloud soul! 11-9- 2020

This is wonderful free-flying poetry of the soul, Pangie. I was attracted by the title, just had to read it, and wasn't disappointed. The words I love the most are billowy, unencumbered, redemption, and eternal freedom. "No approval did I need nor seek" could be a good motto for our reason to be at Soup. Your poems are often seasoned with gratitude, and this is no exception. "Gratitude filled my cloud soul". Such a dreamy and soulful write. Blessings ~ John

It's people like you...with comments that are specific, that hold up a mirror to see my reflection and acknowledge who I am. I don't think any of us are so great we don't want to be appreciated. I, too, liked this one, John. Gratitude I have in droves. Angelic helpers here, go beyond commenting to be more than kind. I think they know who they are. You game me an idea for next write.
