Past, Present, Future

Card after card I lay them down
As though a hand guides me.

The Empress and The Emperor look on,
Unamused while The Magician and The Fool regale them.

Meanwhile, The Lovers ride The Chariot
Hoping The High Priestess will grant them Strength.

The Hierophant looks to the future of The World
While The Hermit is forced to practice Temperance.

Judgement and Justice go hand in hand,
Some sent to The Tower, and some become The Hanged Man.

Another day begins with the rise of The Sun, but Death
The Moon, and The Star are the only constant.

Many are victims of The Wheel of Fortune,
Awaiting the day they meet The Devil.

The Perfect World of Word's Mundus Verborum Perfectus

In regnis verborum, ubi somnia avolant,
Versum componam virtute purissima.
Calamo in manu, cor meum flagrat,
Narrabo fabulam, notissimam unquam.

Super tabula caelesti gratiae,
Colores amplexus amoris exprimam.
A primo mane ad crepusculi fulgorem,
Tapestry conficiam, poetae somnium.

In pratis aureis, ubi flores saltant,
Rhythmos in dulci somno congregabo.
Odor jasmini, aura mitis,
Arcana flatus inesse susurro.

Cum metaphoris vividis, caelum depingam,
Siderum symphoniam in habitu concors.
Earum tremulas melodias, coetus caelestis,
Ignem aeterni desiderii excitabunt.

E profunditatibus incognitis, animam extraham,
Arcana solvam, spiritus integrabo.
Per gaudium et dolorem, triumphum et desperationem,
Aperiens sensus, sine timore communicabo.

Humana miseria, thema aeternum,
Hae versus decorabunt, vividus rivus.
Cum misericordia et compassione, calamus meus fluat,
Revelans veritates subditas penitus.

Per fabulas antiquas et narrationes fabulosas,
Heroes dierum antiquorum excitabo.
Eorum virtus et sapientia, in aeternum sculpta,
In poeticis stanzae, in perpetuum conservata.

Ab altissimis montibus ad latissimos oceani sinus,
Perambulabo terrae spatia, longe lateque.
Verbis ut navis, maria navigabo,
Narrationes aperiens cum clavibus infinitis.

In echo risus, lacrimarum retentarum,
Historiae patheticae suum nexum invenient.
Melodiae vitae, tam lenes quam clamosae,
Cantabunt carmina sua adoranti multitudini.

Quot verbum scriptum est, universum floret,
Infinite possibilitates, extra aulas nostras.
Nam in regno carminis amplexus,
Mundus expergitur, ornatu gratiae.

Hoc ergo carmen fiat testimonium verum,
Potentiae verborum, magiae quam efficiunt.
Nam in his versibus, studio compositis,
Inest poema maximum, oceanus aeternus.

SILENCE
prowls on soft paws
with sharp claws
Cutting up the
Middle Road
Dark shadow moves
SILIENCE
In absentia
Empty Absynthe
Puncture wounds
Cold wind blows
Over tracks
Skids softly
like warm
gants de Suède
on
Poets’ Row
Rat goes

Red scream
scarlet ribbons
LIFE

blushes colour
a trite persuade
different streets

Between the Pillars of Black and White

"Between the Pillars of Black and White"

You sit alone in your power
between the pillars of
black and white
holding your book in hand

The words are your keys
not the mind of some libertine
an interventionist morai fate
twisting and calling dead dreams forward

Your scattered thoughts
captured in a glowing glass wall
Light prisms seen every once-in-a-while
like Halley's Comet, at least a fallen star

There you are, playing cards
gambling time away
playing with fire, fingers tap and smoulder
a risk from the start

God Love
lives bruised in your heart
calling you to leave your seat and stand
Walk forward towards the other

Truth stands firm in Trust
holds no fear free falling towards you
in the courage of Love
Chaos is seen through the steam on a mirror

S.O.A.K.
Joy smiles in her bubble bath
Sees him on the other side writing words
passing the keys white doves and feathers

He makes her laugh
when the burns are hard
winning a Life with charm
he holds his hand out

And says,
"No more harm"

Premium Member Querent

I took a Major Arcana Tarot card deck,
And put foretelling to the test.
The querent would be the Earth,
With a past, present and future spread for our mirth.

I guess I'm the 'King of Swords',
The proud significator;
Of reading the divine fortune,
For the children of the world's holy creator...

Reversed 'Justice' is drawn for the past,
It's for the balance of things as laws would grasp.
It seems as if nature's harmony has flawed,
Breaking the equilibrium of natural law.

'The Star' reversed is for the present,
Happiness replaced by an opposing malevolence.
If disenchantment is our foe,
We have to get into the know!

'The Emperor' is upright, for the future,
Perhaps this leader will provide the sutures;
An authority on good and what we need,
To heal the earth and stop the bleed.

I hope you believe what I hollered;
Please go to your purse, that will be five dollars.

Small Wars In Paradise

"Small Wars in Paradise"

A small war in paradise
where the walls
are dripping
hearts pinned
with golden words

A ghost behind
the eyes of a Fate
shines a light
on the self-righteous
misinformed deux Moirai,

advocatus diaboli -

what remains,
The Devil’s Advocates
blinded in the eye
the dull intentioned
Assizes

Intervention
comes at a small cost
for the Soul
they think is lost
Tomorrow always delivers,

The Goods.

Small wars in Paradise
where sharp swords cut
blunt forked tongues
beating tattoos in time
to a betrayal of trust

a banshee assassin
it’s a relative choice

Won
Lost

A ghost behind the eyes
haunts the hallowed halls
of manipulative minds
holding black diamonds and spades
digging what was, is now dust

in both hands
bloodied,
murdering the past
one day at a time
slowly smiling

holding the crass dead
in a deep holed heart

now becomes the
smoking refined blunderbust
executing sentences
orchestral manouvres
in a dark knight mind

a banshee assassin
it’s a relative choice

The Woman Won
The Past Lost

all in good time...

In the cosmic forge, where stars knead their ethos, there words were born,
To be vestments for the pristine truth, obsidian fervor.
They interlaced, shining fiery like a swarm of fireflies in the twilight of withered memory.
Ruler over glacial silence, the word, a conjurer of shadow-dappled void.
Scribes and harpists of the great audience, from ancient times, forged the alchemy of speech,
Adorning the fabric of the sky in veils of words, in astral embroideries.
They dance, ephemeral and transcendent, upon the holy water of sentiments, washing clean our lines,
In elusive time, truth a venerable temple, with walls of filled secrecy, remaining unconfessed.
The word, in its infirmity of shadows, bears upon its back the arcana of untold worlds,
Carving from the divine’s unseen glitter gateways to edens that seem deserted.
Vocabulary, a chasm between existence and non-being, the host to a dizzying confusion,
Enfolding the vast in shells of sound, twisting into fragments of reality with depths verified.
Woven into curtains of smoke, a spectacle for the eye that wishes to be intoxicated,
Syllables, meteors through the night of thought yearning to ambush the bewildered in flight.
But the mystical crossroads, in these verses secretly long-entwined, the enchanted poet dreaming a maiden,
Unveils the hidden crimson in the symbolic mists, and the words, ever untamed, are cast into forms that whisper: "We are more than we say!”

““Hard things are put in our way, not to stop us, but to call out our courage and strength.”

“Aerodynamically the bumblebee shouldn’t be able to fly, but the bumblebee doesn’t know that so it goes on flying anyway.”

Courage, sacrifice, determination, commitment, toughness, heart, talent, guts. That’s what little girls are made of; the heck with sugar and spice.”

"I need you to remember this: There are days, maybe even weeks and months, when it feels like you are never going to move forward. When you doubt yourself because you can't see any progress. But the truth is, if you are waking up every day and doing the hard, beautiful, necessary work of living and learning you are growing. It's impossible not to. So keep going."

Disc Devil

The fae of the forest watched as they
Gaily slung the discs on their way..
And it glowered hatefully from where it stood
As again and again their discs struck wood.
Surely for their offense they'd pay!

Patience was hard as it followed and sought
A punishment befitting for this offensive lot
Laughing in merriment when their discs struck chain
Strung from the iron poles that his wilderness, stained.
His fiery hatred grew hot!

But the iron and machine that invaded his realm
Weakened his magic, did arcana o’erwhelm,
Even as they climbed and hiked and played,
He studied the lot and his hand was stayed,
Three men, two women shaded ’neath elm.

So he bid the day increase its heat
He bid the trees their discs defeat
He slung small magic to deflect their discs
Off-course into thorns and other risks,
Yet their discs flew to basket’s entreat.

As the eldest wished for the trees to stop
Snatching his disc in flight to flop
On the ground, its flight outshined,
A horrible, evil thought sprang to mind,
Ahead the mad imp hopped.

In the false meadow set the devil his trap,
“No trees? No trees!” And with an evil clap,
As the eldest stood at the edge of the meadow
The younger’s disc flew errant, powerful, into elbow!
Horrific thud, not a light rap.

No truer could any aim have sought
Nor more devastating than the nerve it caught,
Waves of nausea wreaked by such pain
Stunned the warrior, he couldn't regain
His feet. The younger man was distraught.

Yet on they played, and gave no ground
Stubbornly threw their discs and found
Joy in every basket’s clink
And caused the evil imp to re-think
The awful paths he'd bound.

Twice more, throws askew were slung,
Twice more was impish, hurtful magic flung
Once at the mother’s head- wisely, she ducked,
Then again, feebly hit the youth’s leg, whose laughter clucked,
Mocking laughter, his leg unstung.

Sorrowfully, the wood devil gave in
He could not defeat this family's win
Even the old man's arm wouldn't bruise
How could the imp do ought but lose?
And so did the disc golf end. Fin.

So if you, enjoying family time fair
Seek to enter the forest imp’s lair,
Take cover from friends as the disc is cruising
Lest the wood devil, offended, send you a bruising
As from shadows he hates and stares.

otherwise called book of wisdom
with its teachings and archetypes

laws and lessons as relevant today
as they were hundreds of years ago

history repeating itself
human nature being what it is

the mysteries of mankind’s experience unveiled
come to light in a cycle of repeated patterns

by candlelight the epochs blurred
here hovers an air of timelessness

in a rite of fire and intent
tarot cards neutralized and purified

wafts of frankincense roam the air
with much reverence my hands reaching

in a moment of silence and bonding
i invite the cards to imbibe my energy

the ritual of unwrapping their silk shield
while wafts of sage continue to disperse

revealing archaic symbols etched
adorning twenty-one major arcana

a hopeful silence for secrets divulged
in soothing stillness the old soul listens

shedding universal light on both past and future
mostly to understand ours and human nature
