It Works

Those leather pants fit perfectly
Against your skin. I can’t stop
Staring; You can’t stop teasing -
It keeps me up all night,
Struggling to

Keep shouting.
Nothing is resolved when you slam
The bedroom door - Don’t sleep
Angry. You know I hate it when you

Surprise me in the shower and
Turn the screws until I
Can’t even think. All the blood
Rushes to my head when I
Clutch the curtain – you know
I am there.
I see you see me as I

Hope we won’t wake up bitter in the morning,
Casting those cross couch glances and
Judging. Your eyes are killer

Aphrodisiacs, constantly seducing me
Like that time I had to
Pin you in the grass.
As the rain came down I kissed
Your lips and cradled you.
I can still close my eyes and hear you whisper

“You’ve left the toilet seat up again,”
I tell you that I’m sorry but we both know
In the dim light of the television set
I am barely listening.
You smile and shake your head,
For therein lies a flaw you choose to live with.
You swear, one of these days you are going to

Turn off the light and kiss
Every inch of my body
In honor of my being me,
And in honor of your being you,
I will return the favor.
Afterward, we’ll lie in love,
Smiling in a comfortable silence

Like the uncomfortable silences
At the ends of those trivial arguments
You start yet can’t finish.
There is no retort for my abashing.
You say you’re sorry but we both know
That you don’t really mean it,
So I make sacrifices I choose to live with.
I swear one of these days I am going to

Cook the most wonderful meal,
The kind where silence is a compliment
Ending with content smiles,

Doing the dishes,
Cursing at new shirt stains and small cuts
From knives hidden under soap water

Although
We don’t really mind the healing process.
I sleep and think, Tomorrow
I should walk to the jewelry store and look over
Diamonds, as I think of our
Long nights, walking through lit up old villages
Cuddling on the couch in the television light
Drunkenly kissing beside bonfires
Sharing friends and glances
And love and life for good or for worse,
Carrying the same heart.

I can always push that button
That has you turn me on,
Be it a laugh, a smile, a sting, or a bite.
We do what it takes to make us happy
And it works,
Especially when you put on
Those leather pants.

The Gypsy Dance of Life

Last night I watched in silence
At the end of the road in forest deep
I hid amongst the trees watching in awe
As gypsies dance while others sleep
Under the violet hue of evening sky
Haloed by evening's golden moon

I watched gypsies dance and sing
As flames from bonfires leaped high in the air
Dark haired women in shawls and beads
Happily dancing and twirling without care
Casting their spells of magic and enchantment
Performing their honeyed seductions
Blended with aphrodisiacs of scent and sound

Gypsy men with kerchiefs around their necks
Hoops of silver adorning their ears, singing joyful songs
Children laughing, dogs barking
As if they’re singing right along
Oh, I so wanted to join them as I stood watching in awe
Envious was I of their freedom and joy

Caravans painted in bright images and colors
Tambourines jingling as velvet shadows danced in the night
Skirts swirling, gold and silver bangles on their arms
Dancing 'round the bonfire's fiery light
Accordions singing, with happy notes from a fiddler's bow
As they sang and danced barefoot under evening moon

In the coming dawn once again...
It will be time for them to pack and move on
With a last meal served...
The caravans are readied to make another journey long

"Gather yourself up gypsy girls
Wonderful as it may seem…
A gypsies’ life is never their own
Time to move on
Time to find another home
You must have gypsy blood
In order to survive"

As their wagons move along dusty trails
They'll be looking for a place to camp
A place to call home... at least for awhile
A place to hang their colored paper lamps
Until...
Suddenly- a cry rings out

"Stop the wagons, ring the bells
We've found the perfect place
The perfect place for magic spells
Tomorrow brings a brand new day!
Let's feast, dance and make merry
Come on let's get things underway"

And so...
The journey goes on
And never ends!

"Gather yourself up gypsy girls
Wonderful as it may seem…
A gypsies’ life is never their own
Time to move on, time to leave
Time to find another home
You must have gypsy blood
In order to survive"

My name is Aphrodite and
my offering to man
is fierce love.
I spread it out before you
like a lavish bridegroom’s dinner
with foods named aphrodisiacs rightly after me!
Caviar, oysters and shrimp;
spears of warmed asparagus and
artichokes stripped of leaves to dip in luscious butter;
truffles too with fragrant muskiness;
all foods of succulence - to stimulate your appetite.
My tender lips are moist - champagne to further whet desire.
You drink me in. . .
Entreating you to take your fill, I whisper in your ear,
“Partake of me, my love. Take more and more.”

When your feeding frenzy
 is at its peak -
that’s when I offer you - dripping from my fingers - sweetest fruit:
honeyed figs with cream, peaches, plums, and kumquats;
and last: one red well-ripened berry.

Utterly sated,
drunk from delectation;
motionless, you lie there on your bed.
And when your eyes move rapidly
beneath their heavy lids,
I slide my body carefully off yours,
slip back into my gossamer-thread gown,
then tiptoe to the door; turn the knob;
and without looking back,
step into night.

You waken and want to feast again
but find that I have parted.
(to banquets such as mine, one rarely
is invited more than once).
And so you live and love,
knowing that you can’t resume -
ever in your life again -
a coupling so completely gratifying.
Your passion was consumed in
your consuming of this goddess!
I take from men again . . .again. . .
and then again.
But the nourishment that I require
always must be fresh,
and that is what
eternally
sustains me.

His underbelly is soft but please don't push his buttons

He looks rather docile if you simply leave him alone

Feeds on leaves and fruit and won't kill if you're tame

And respect the elegant majesty that treads firmly on grass

If treated correctly and let him be he is a friendly companion

He looks like a Unicorn adorned with a gregarious nose

Eats what nature has given only as much as he needs

Has few 'natural' predators other than human creatures

Who misinterpret their task on this planet as unruly force

And slay for fun or trophy hunting and belligerent pounce

Unlike Pinocchio he has two spikes a long and a short one

To use for foraging digging up water and breaking branches

But when threatened protects family kind with true honesty

Lowers his snout to the ground and locks intimidating horns

Charges only in self-defence and attacks as a last resort only

I wish I and my fellow *****sapiens comrades would copy

Such moral correctness rather than killing unneeded prey

Whereas rhinos use upright posture and magnificent skills

For sexual prowess and marking their own territorial ground

We grind their sharp body parts into aphrodisiacs myths

Sell to high bidders and pretend such behaviour is normal

Discard their mutilated bodies in a landscape of terror and

Wonder why sometimes they pierce in just retaliation

Do unto others as you would have them do unto you

And I do not wish my prominent bits on somebody's plate

Who Is Venus

From the deep and darkened sea of lust
on Kythrira's temple shore
she rose up on a wave of foam
a goddess to adore
described as a beauty filled with love
in pages of folklore
but beauty is not what I observe
on Kythrira's temple shore
a life with gifts eternal for
a goddess to adore
so much confusion; heir of Zeus
or prodigy of war

From the darkened sea she rules
on her private temple shore
a feast prepared of sheer delight
to the goddess they adore
she offered them a tasty feast
a priestess candy store
of Aphrodisiacs that she named
at her private temple shore

I foresee her role re-played it's clear
she was equivalent to a whore
adorned in gold, and called a pearl
on every temple shore.
born with seduction as her craft
this goddess did adore

She stood as were her statues
with her chin up to the sky
with her eyes up in the sky
she looks similar to her virtues
as she rules upon the shore
will she ever lay in ruin
this goddess they adore

How sad that someone young and wild never was a child
but a goddess to adore
a poet underneath the trees who called the wind to lend a breeze
a goddess to adore
I believe not she was a witch I comprehend, I had to switch
a clever game upon that land as Satan played a wicked hand
for he and Venus walked that shore
she's been his wife along life's shore

Premium Member A Romantic Dinner For Two

My love has been out of town for weeks and weeks,
And I want to make a romantic dinner for two;
Something really special and sexy and delicious,
So, I spent days planning the menu and setting the mood.

~ The Menu ~

Appetizers

Krug Clos du Mesnil, 2000, Champagne
Raw Wellfleet Oysters on the half shell
Arugla Salad with Olive Oil and Vinegar dressing

Main Course

Chateau Ducru-Beaucaillou Saint-Julian, Red Wine
Truffles
Fettuccine sprinkled with Basil and Red Peppers
Steamed Asparagus - Eggplant and Chives

Dessert

Cacao Chocolate Ice Cream with Almonds
Cafe

Now, I researched all these foods for one quality,
One thing they all have in common, all are aphrodisiacs;
Primal, sexy food, believed to enhance love making,
It is going to be an evening of passion and romance.

I decorated our outdoor deck with strung lights and lanterns,
Arranged the table for the best view of the lake;
Then, I took a bath with saffron leaves like Cleopatra,
And when my love arrived we kissed, and with soulful looks,

We went outside to dine.

She moved round the Fair on nary a care
floating on cloud cushions of Spring Gaelic air
as goers strutted their finest wares.
Upon her arrival, a wicked west wind
did suddenly appear rifling
its way through the crowd.
Ceasing its terror-----seeing the error
careful to zephyr each lock of her
resplendent Rapunzel hair.
Every man there stood frozen in stare
with mates aghast in virulent despair,
throwing vexing fits of dubious---"BEWARE"!

Relucent gypsy eyes, Esmeralda eyes
glistened a crystalline Blue--tranquil yet deep
limpid and true, buoyant and sweet.
Seductive, Alluring, looks to mesmerize
Enthralling, Entrancing romancing their lies
secretly hiding a secret visceral guise
for all to gasp and marvelize.

Godiva aura skin, face of angels, like heavenly
aphrodisiacs streaming home from the sun
enlightening each bystander one to one.

Lips that launched a thousand ships of fools-
with kisses that dwell in forever.

Upon her leave all flocked to perceive
a life unlived by paltry pulchritude
rather one of sapient servitude
Once gone from sight--day tumbled to night
caressing lovers argue never to fuss or fight.

Can we meet at Life's crossroads with equal Temptation?
taking a breath in mutual Contemplation
kneeling in the presence of an awaiting Revelation.

Beyond Depths of Bliss

…the hilt of romance…

Your beauty heavenly, evokes the envy of Cytherea
Alluring me seamlessly, as gravity charms the docile sea,
Ecstasy looms, radiant as glistening rays of sunrise felicity,
My resistance dwindles, I drift swiftly away from mortality.

Life evanesces, only you exist! Enchanted by your sweet poison,
My body wanes irrevocably, thirsting, yielding to molten compulsion.
You tease my longing with your rosy scent, fresh as budding lilacs,
Caresses of your strokes silken, enthuse me like erotic aphrodisiacs.

Your kisses, satiate pleasures deepest, within my inmost core,
Soulful whispers with moans interlude, our cravings for encore.
Forms entwined to each other, as courting vines amorously cling,
Like summer’s heat, our intense friction, arouses delights of spring.

The flames in your eyes, would make the brightest stars pale,
Breathing eternity into my being, carrying me away like a gale,
Our pulses as tidal waves, rowdily rippled by passions sensual,
Beyond depths of bliss, to the hilt of romance perpetual.

He never treated her as a subordinate eve
She was only privileged to get pleasure
And never got the pain of childbirth from him
It was he who ate the forbidden fruit of Eden
Shamelessly committed adultery in old age.

But now that she has left him for a reason
He’s a man of passed-out desires and dreams
Looking at beautiful women do infatuate him
*PEA - “the molecule of Love” floods his brain
Wine, liquor, movies are in the top priorities,
Mind filled with lot of aphrodisiacs, vitamin,
Viagra, zinc, carrots, oysters, garlic and onion.
Exploding coffee machines makes him mad
Gets annoyed when neighbor’s dog barks
Thumping sound of making love irritates him.

At this hour many things provoke his desire
Though blessed with desire, no performance.
