I'M Sorry (Angel of Sadness)

“If u truly are here, then maybe I’ll regret this song”

Mother received a gift horse
She just never looked it in the eyes
Nine months later
she had more than she could lift of course
If going through labor was written in a book
Then some soul lies
Straight from her vaginal insides
I splattered my head
With the grisles in my infant arms
I gripped my throat
Assumed to visualize myself after dead
That day Diane realized
God doesn’t give a god damn
I’m stripping my soul of it’s beliefs
To provide one final volume
of what I have least to achieve
Laugh like I just want some attention
So unreliable
am I the only person you forgot to mention?
I expect nothing less than your undeniable attention
Dorm room fantasies,
Few episodes of *********** relaxes my *****
Storms doomed Atlantis see!
A new leprosy, father have you seen us
As you can see
God just doesn’t give a god damn
Vote or die, whom ever you spoke with is a lie
John Kerry, George Bush, it’s all in good hopes
I guess the worlds going to end anyways
So you can do what you want
For the most of many days
Now it’s me swinging on you
Loyalty is adored
But is only affordable through truth
Cry like a baby
Before I’d ever lay to make like a lady
This is not a war call
Just a scene where stars fall
someone give me a hug, maybe a tug
Before I purposely fall off this cliff
And become a hysterical myth
Maybe I already am

Stimulation: I Bask In Complications

The crowd pushed me away, but I'll stay positive through it all
Lap up my emotions, animals of sympathy, for I'm your trough
Trying not to lose hope in violent tranquility (peaceful and chaotic circumstances)...endure through these tribulations by finding an escape route...a destination called the Lands of Non-fixated Free-falls (a land of Liberty that results in living life in good hands)
Enough with this flowery language I've written down...enough? No...pursue excellence in all you do and I, too, can take that swift advice! Don't be scared or unprepared of what lies ahead - don't take what I say as fluff (insignificant)

At times, rhyming patterns in poetry can be a rough task...life, in general, isn't always a lose-lose, win-win
So, I bask in complications and I have a huge amount of ideas that nudge at my noggin (pokes at my brain)

Smile for a while and jog the extra mile with me, abiding by your side for eternity and beyond
You're the one that I was fond of once upon a time...I don't mean to be deceiving by my flirtatious ways...straining our once-and-for-all bond...
You need to make an income raise by the honors of overcoming financial issues (by saving and spending, you need an award)
I've been stressing about from day in to day out, but without a doubt, I'm more than happy that I'm not in worst shoes (not in a worse situation that a person may go through)

Surprise my oozing-of-saliva tongue taste buds with your sensuous champaign of championship in heart (give me a taste of your victory)

I'm awkward
I'm absurd
I won't bite...I might not be your type of writing, readers who might read this...
Creativity kisses me in the abstract abyss...
...bewildered by the after-consumption of tainted bliss ~ _ ~
(That part means surprised by something you thought was good, but it turns out bad)

I need to wear an upside down frown
I'm down to be with anyone who can lift me up
I'm done being in the dark about the problems that I can't quite put a finger on...

And a-a-anyways,

I'm, frankly, hopelessly mind-blown

Premium Member We'Re Cleaning House

A simple man, I don‘t need much, I use few words; I’m Joe.
I once framed houses, now drive trucks. That’s all you need to know.

I love my wife and think she’s great, but one thing I can’t stand
She’s got so many things that it is getting out of hand.

Last month I hauled out all her * #^%$ and tossed it on the floor
of our garage because I could not take it any more.

When she came home and saw the mess, I told her: Listen up,
Your clothes take up three closets cause you’re such a cluster * %$#$#

I don’t care if the kids are gone. You don’t need their old space
to keep old clothes that do not fit and shoes such a disgrace.

The kitchen drawers are stuffed with junk that you don’t even use.
You have to clear the cupboards out before I blow a fuse!

I’ve taken all your Christmas crap and boxed it up for you.
It’s now in the garage there with your filing cabinet too.

These books and all the videos you never even play -
We’ll buy more bookshelves for them but throw a lot away!

You’re right. I never help to clean. but I feel too depressed
to wash clothes in the laundry room when I see all the mess. . .

the gifts stockpiled for grandkids; and that junk for holidays . . .
It’s got to be made orderly. Who needs it anyways?

I’m trying to be nice here. It doesn’t have to be
done all at once, but all this stuff. . .I feel like I can’t breathe.

I’m cleaning up my work spaces and then when I am through,
I’m going to redo the porch and uproot bushes too.

That sink we needed to replace I’m finally putting in.
I’m getting a new ceiling fan and also storage bins.

You poets here, this poem I post to keep you in the loop.
My wife can’t be here much this month at this here Poetry Soup.

I know she’ll come here anyway and say that I’m a louse,
but I won’t rest until we both have finished cleaning house!

* These are the expletives I had to take
out before posting because wifey said they don’t
accept swearing here. What a sissy site

The Political Circus

See that you've found the circus
We're so glad that you got the invite
Entertainment that is certainly worth it
As it's all being televised

Whether or not Republican or Democrat
Go ahead and stand in line
It's moving along rather quickly
The clowns are waiting inside

In the center there's the Ringmaster
Keeping his face hidden from view
Just pretend he's not even here
As it really doesn't concern any of you

Enjoy a 20 dollar cotton candy
Washing it down with a 16 ounce Tasty Freeze
Remember all are eligible to vote now
As we no longer require an I.D.

Might want to keep an eye on the lions
As they all bite the hand that feeds
Right before they go back into hiding
Until there's something else that they need

Hope you don't mind if we turn down the lights
There are things you don't need to see
We know what's best for you anyways
So there's really no need for you to worry

Here at the greatest show on earth
Filled with rumors, innuendos, and lies
If the truth here is ever heard
You would never believe your own eyes

So bring your family out to the circus
With open arms we welcome you all
Of course we keep our hands behind our backs
Hiding that which you really don't need to know...

A Soldiers Dream

With the dream to fight for your country
Being one of freedoms rights
Shame you didn't see
The sniper up in the tree
That took that part away from your life

They shipped your friends home in a casket
Right next to the cot on the plane where you lay
As they call you blessed
Who would ever have guessed
This day you'd rather be given the grave

No one on the tarmac to greet you
Anyways you always hated to see your mama cry
And with all that's gone on
You don't feel much like home
Is where you could spend the rest of your life

Who knew how much this all would cost you
As you fell deep into the Hollywood hype
Now you know what they mean
Saying freedoms not free
When you paid more than you would have liked

You're no longer in the battle but still in the fight
As the nightly voices in your head scream
There you slept in the sand
Here on a park bench
Living out that American dream

since you left

at first it was unbearable i must admit
i wanted to stay home, i told my mom i felt sick
i understand now why they say time heals
it does
kinda funny though, its healing what never was
the first few weeks i’d wake up and try to get out of bed
awakened from a slumber that was only induced to silence the sirens in my head
carefully watching my steps to avoid the shards of glass scattered across the floor
leftover pieces of my heart that you forgot to pick up, the heart you said was yours
our paintings, you left those too
embarrassingly enough, for my birthday all i wanted was a text from you
eventually things got easier though, or maybe i just got distracted by the bells and whistles of life’s orchestration
you’ve given me no closure yet endless confirmation
unremitting sobs and no one to talk to
everyone was sick of hearing of my suffering, it was awful
then the hurt started to leave, and arose the confusion
how could you pretend? how wasn’t it real? was it all an illusion?
was i just another girl to you? how could my everything be nothing to you?
silly little questions that i realized i’ll never find answers to
because i evidently don’t know your heart, i don’t even think you do
the confusion was cut short along with my livelihood when i was met with you know what
funny, it’s actually only you who knows what
do you know what?
don’t you care?
it doesn’t matter if you do anyways, evidently you lied when you said with you i could always share
now, i still see your face when i walk around my house
it scared me when i tried to remember the sound of your voice and it was faint as a mouse
yesterday i passed the photobooth we took those cute pictures in
the ones i had hanging on my wall
i took them down, but i still look at them everytime i have no one to call
i look and remember when i had you and for that i am grateful enough
i won’t lie and say i’m completely over it, because anyone could call my bluff
i am becoming empty now, i actually understand you more
things hurt less and i’m no longer frazzled when people walk out the door
i’m starting to get back to okay again, but its an ephemeral feeling
shortlived by the memories and remembrance
its mostly emptiness though
mostly nothing
just like you
i guess nothings been the same
not since you left

Premium Member Moving Mountains For Me

ever since I can remember I have known bullies
it began in grammar school
           I was different
part Ojibway .... they called me Indian Princess
but not in a nice way
my grandma only found out she had been taken
later in life and was brought up white
but she embraced her heritage
and passed the teachings to me
I told my father what they were calling me
and he said, they are right
you are a Princess ... so the next time they did
to my back I swung my long raven hair around
smiled and said thank you
strength of character can move mountains

things were not much better in high school
especially the girls ... I suppose it was jealousy
I did have a look though I have never considered
myself beautiful... but they hated me anyways
I did not like school and did not excel
though this never stopped me moving mountains

when I began working as a nurse
I thought things would be better but no they were not
and I was bullied by co-workers
and even superiors
I would look in the mirror and ask why
yet, the patients and families loved me
and that love moved mountains for me

even recently in dance class a few woman are being
mean to me, pushing me around
these are adults not kids
and not wanting to cause a problem
I have taken it and turned away
but no more, sorry dad the stronger person does not
walk away, but speaks up
and I am waiting for them to open their mouths
please open your evil mouths I have a speech ready
I am so strong I can move a mountain

and just yesterday a so called friend, was mean to me
not the first time, but I have swallowed it before
not this time.... enough is enough
she was shocked when I said we are finished
don't come near me again, or call or message me ever
and I walked away .. and gosh that felt good
                       evil comes in many forms

but, if a person has strength of character, courage
and determination, if one is fearless and a warrior
and believes that Jesus is with you
after all was he, not bullied ....
then, each person can move mountains

Premium Member In Love

I went to my cousin's wedding, she married an Italian.
The wedding was in a huge church with a thousand stairs,
or so it seemed. Anyways, while in the church, it rained,
it was not just rain but a torrential downpour . . .
Okay, so try to get down a thousand steps without tripping,
wearing high heels in the rain . . .

She had wanted an outdoor wedding. "No problem," said Dad.
Canopy tents covered the backyard of a nice catered affair.
The garage was the bar, tables set so elegant. It was nice,
except for the storm, that refused to go away, in fact got worse.

I will never forget the bride and groom at the head table,
trying to smile while holding an umbrella . . .
But, guess what, I don't think it mattered because,
they were in love . . .

Untitled 2

I was so happy just to be your friend and be there whenever you needed me
That wasn’t what you had in mind and your selfish intent was something I couldn’t see

You made it a point to show me a different side of you this time around
You played your role so perfectly making sure to create a love in me that was truly profound

I knew all of your secrets and bad habits but that didn’t push me away
I told you I’d be there for you and by your side is where I intended to stay

You would tell me that we were meant for each other and the others were just for fun
I wasn’t ready to commit anyways so I stuck around when in reality I should have run

I remember when we were finally intimate and how nervous I was as if it was my first time
I was so in love and expected more but the encounter left me feeling used and covered in grime

I still stuck around because I had promised I wouldn’t leave and truthfully, I knew you would always own my heart
These feelings would stay engraved in me whether we were together or apart

Everything was going so well and you hinted at us finally being together like we always should have been
I was more than happy to accept you as you were and let the rest of our lives begin

Of course, you did what you always have and completely flipped the script
Suddenly you had someone and my heart was left exposed, broken and, ripped

Once again, I chose to stay because regardless of our relationship status, I still immensely cared for you
I vowed to be your best friend and find a new love but that made you mad because you just wanted to subdue

This mind game went on for a while and I continued to endure the torture until you eventually just disappeared
You had promised that you would always stick around but you threw me away and enacted what I had always feared

You still pop in from time to time just to make sure I don’t have a chance to forget
But I’m glad to say that you no longer have the same effect on me, nor do I feel any regret

You were toxic and only cared about making yourself feel better, no matter what the cost
I promise you that you destroyed every ounce of care I ever had and this tumultuous relationship will not be defined as a love lost

Premium Member Peer Teaching

Our teacher says, “By peer teaching you can learn,
You can share your thoughts lovingly through cooperation”
But there’s always a big problem with my peer partner, Fern
She's quite clumsy! Keeps dropping her stuffs when it’s my turn.

She crawls on the floor to get things, taking time to get up,
Her attention is so shallow, my patience is no longer enough;
Just enjoy crawling on the floor my friend, I won’t let you stop,
Anyways, you’re the best student in this class… always at the top.

I’ll just lay down cozily my head on our old school desk,
Thanks for sharing your bright ideas, clarifying things and all the rest;
I fervently hope you won’t hurt your knees, back and neck,
And nobody will find you crawling on the floor especially Mrs. Leclercq.
