An Anthem of Spring
 Evelyn Pearl Anderson

The third month of the year
Visions of snow leaving
Green colors coming on trees;
Springtime begins blooming

Giving meaning to the word “spring”
Derived from old English “springan”
Meaning to spring forth as in how
the flowers bloom this season

Spring is known as the season of
Rebirth, renewal and regrowth*
This is expressed in many ways
From flowers, colorful eggs to new clothes

But the best expression is to attend
An Easter service of one’s choice
There we hear a message
And the choir sing to rejoice

We might be told of how after
The Lord’s Supper was served
Jesus went to the Garden of Gethsemane
There in great agony He prayed

Later, at Mount of Olives, he requested
A donkey and colt to ride into Jerusalem
Leaves of Palm trees were scattered
The King of the Jews would be tortured and shamed

We are reminded of the Crucifixion
Of how our Lord Jesus Christ
Carried the old cross to Calvary
After being mocked, rebuked

Jesus died on this cross at the ninth hour
There at Golgotha, He died for you and me
He was buried in a borrowed tomb
And on the third day, he arose
Hallelujah! He arose! Hallelujah! He’s alive!

We celebrate this miraculous, springtime day
Anthems are sung across many lands
“Christ the LORD is risen today”
How blessed we are, my friends!

Happy Easter!

Premium Member People of the 60s

Unconventional, they mocked the establishment
Clad in paisley tops and bell-bottom denim,
With a symbol hanging on necks wrists or belts -
An emblem of inverted V , the birth of protest
Where murmurs from unrest gusted through lyrics,

In Woodstock of dreams hailing Baez, Hendrix, Dylan
As flower-power’s youth signaled change…
People of the 60s wrapped in love, not Vietnam rage!
Although experimental, they rallied a quest
For oneness, for a gentler‘ Blowing in the Wind,’

They lived on the streets to ignite an ideal
Which flashed ardor illuminating hearts,
In a kinship which assuaged a decade, lost
To claim their anthem, ‘peace begins with me;’
Embracing a norm with the grace of harmonious light.

I am the
     cascading radiance,
 between apricot
   glows of gloaming,
when mauve mists shift,
mirroring sage seas of love,
I look beyond silvery skies
  whilst selfless stars sprinkle,
sizzling streaks
 of sunflower sparkles~
upon wrinkled
 waves of weariness.

it is in sangria silence, I see
seraphic silhouette of
the mauve moon~
incarnate elysian empires,
 where rosemary rivers
flow in righteous rhythm,
awakening stainless
 lotus rituals,
soaring amidst the
ardent ambience
  of butterfly bliss.

now my heart twirls
to riveting themes,
captivated by the
charismatic credence
of your charming finesse~
swirling beneath
  purple paper balloons,
ornamented with
  pristine pansies,
to weave fuchsia faith
with
 dahlia dreams.

yet, sometimes
 I question
the eclectic light,
lulling my aching soul,
would life be a
  pensive pilgrim
without your
  angelic wings?
what if I had never found
the sanctified sanctuary,
shielded with
   golden gates
adorned in
  citrine-pearl calligraphies..
would I then
  still be drowning,
alone, engulfed in fears?
for I’ve found
  silent scriptures of serenity
through carmine carvings
on the mystical walls
in your poetic palace,
there love is the
 astral language
  of crooning constellations,
guiding poignant peonies
to a holistic sphere
  of artistic healing.

so tonight, I’ll unlock
cosmic windows to
the root chakra,
where you are the
enlightened king,
and your
  altruistic anthem,
rings musically
like soothing
   singing bowls,
echoing forgiving heartbeats,
and I, will remain faithfully
engrossed eternally,
    like petals blossoming
within your gardenia grace.

Premium Member America's Number One Problem

I have researched the issue extensively
  and concluded most indubitably
The #1 problem we must confront immediately
is that the NBA is Tibetan-Nepalese free

I realize that this kind of news may just shock
both NBA fanatics and weekend warrior jocks
As there have been social media rumors of a plan
to load up rosters with ex-soldiers from Afghanistan

Well, I for one, will not let myself get distracted
The data's in, my words will not be retracted
At this very moment, President Biden's selecting a 5-star commission
to highlight the egregious wrong of Tibetan-Nepalese inadmission

Our nation has the talent, the drive and the will
to effect change to rock the world from Singapore to Brazil
For the NBA's bias against Tibetan-Nepalese is a vile disease
infecting every team owner privileged to speak Americanese

So, let us look forward to that great day
when NBA game-time rosters will look this way
Fifteen Tibetans versus fifteen from Nepal
~ as long as they sing our National Anthem before they 'play ball!'

Old money new money and now money

(Heavy Trap Soul Beat Drops - 808s Deep, Melodic Synth Pads, Snare Rolls)

(Verse 1) Yo, uh, stepped in this , drippin' like Poseidon Neck froze, wrist froze, yeah, my diamonds speak volumes, no lyin' They see the glow up, thinkin' fortunes just fallin' But they ain't see the trenches where the hunger was callin' Now I'm Wall Street slick, with P-Valley in my stride Old money, new money, now money hard, yeah, that's the vibe.

(Verse 2) Used to scrape the plate, now I'm stackin' up the blue strips es used to curve, now they sendin' nude pics Remember ramen nights, now it's lobster tail dinners Watchin' cash grow, in 2024, market winners Eight hundred billion, that's the talk on these streets Old money, new money, now money hard, can't be beat.

(Verse 3) Got that savage flow, 21 in my demeanor Ice cold heart, makin' bread, yeah, I'm a earner They hate to see a chick rise, from nothin' to somethin' tried to check my crown, told her, "Keep on frontin'" This ain't no fairytale, this the real grit and grime Old money, new money, now money hard, all the time.

(Verse 4) Yeah, I move like a don, every step calculated Bentley truck swervin', while these haters just debated How I flipped the script, made somethin' out of zero Now they whisperin' my name, call me neighborhood hero But I ain't savin' none these clowns, they can stay behind Old money, new money, now money hard, peace of mind.

(Verse 5) Cardi B body, yeah, the sex appeal lethal Got these niggas hypnotized, wallets gettin' feeble Diamonds on my body, shinin', blindin' every eye Got 'em mesmerized, thinkin' they can buy my time But loyalty and respect, that's the currency I crave Old money, new money, now money hard, own the wave.

(Outro) Uh, yeah, this that boss anthem, for the grinders, for the hustlers From the bottom to the top, we turned into money monsters They call it luck, we call it grind, dedication, no sleep Now we countin' stacks, while they barley make ends meet Remember the name, , etched in gold, never fade Old money, new money, now money hard, we gettin' paid.

(Beat fades out with ad-libs: Yeah, uh huh, Cheeze, Bardi, 21 Savage flow, get that money, gone!)

Majestic Anthem of the Great I AM

I AM WHO I AM!—the voice roared through flame,
No shadow can silence, no rival can name.
The Alpha, Omega, beginning and end,
The timeless Creator, Redeemer, and Friend.
I AM the Way, the Truth, and the Life,
Piercing through chaos, dissolving all strife.
I AM the Vine, where your spirit shall grow,
In rivers of mercy, my presence shall flow.
I AM the Light in the world’s darkest hour,
The Bread of your hunger, the Door of my power.
I AM the Shepherd, who lays down His soul,
To gather the scattered, to make the lost whole.
I AM the Resurrection, the breath that revives,
The One who was dead, now forever alive!
I hold the keys to Death and to Hades,
My glory outshines all kings and all ladies.
I AM the Shield, your fortress, your flame,
The One who delivers, who heals in His name.
I blot out transgressions, not for your sake,
But for My own glory, My love shall not break.
I AM the First, and I AM the Last,
From ancient of days to futures unmasked.
Even to old age, I AM still He,
The Comfort, the Keeper, the One who sets free.
Be still and know, let your soul be awed,
I AM your God, your refuge, your rod.
I will not forsake, nor leave you alone,
My throne is eternal, My mercy well-known.
I kill and I heal, I wound and restore,
No hand can deliver from My mighty roar.
I AM the Door of the sheep who believe,
I speak to you now, I AM He—Now receive!
Let the heavens tremble, let the earth resound,
With thunderous praise, let glory abound!
This is the anthem, the soul’s mighty psalm,
Of the Great I AM—majestic and calm.

The forest is where trees nestle
and mushrooms sigh,
spinning electric dreams
from harlequin vines and multicolored roses…
Tonight, ink flows in a hypnotic trance,
my thoughts swirl through the
holographic ethereality,
like a pixie fairy ~ moon-walking,
above the psychedelic wilderness,
engrossed in kaleidoscopic dews,
chasing origami butterflies,
tied to the phoenix crescent,
where I see your midnight eyes
blinking like fervent fireflies,
as the air serenades an enticing anthem,
luring me to a sky sequined with
swirling amulets,
emanating secrets like rainbow raindrops
upon spring-soaked meadows
of neon sprinkles.

I ponder, will you find me
amidst the lilac haze
to paint my skin
with a fluorescent fragrance~
and scribble initials in aurora acrylic,
as this heart keeps pacing,
awaiting a tulip sunrise
while galaxies outline
the saffron rings with unicorn dust,
touching intricate layers of silence
adorned with wishful wisterias?

Perhaps this is what Alice
chased through the rabbit hole,
a violet vortex of undying love,
that lingers in lucid shades
of mosaic melodies,
for in the midst of spiraling vibrance,
my soul remains entwined with the
flickering flames
of your lunar silhouette,
as colors of constellations
choreograph this theatrical romance…
So let me close the windows
of my consciousness
like a sojourner sailing
through seas of musical serenity,
forever forgotten~
tripping in the aesthetic warmth
of your pulsating arms.

Closing Chapter

Vacuum of thoughts
Pain that defines its origin
Invisible block on throat
Tasteless air through the nostrills
A body weak to the skeleton

How does a house stand without it's central pillar?
How does one look at their face without a mirror ?
How does one exist outside of existence?

Unpalatable questions yearning answers
A broken soul longing wholeness
A shattered heart begging comfort
A mind out of sync with reality

Birds compose a final sombre anthem
as winds whisper the silent voices of those laying under
Fountain of tears make way down the pale cheeks
Here cometh the hour
Dust to dust

The choir master carries with, confidence of angelic voices the choir ministered
Undertaker's gathers tools in fulfillment of task completed
The Levi hopes the missionary message preached cuts deep
The multitude takes comfort in knowing their presence was made known

I carry with, a sore and heavy heart of a future without you.

Childish Behavior Keeps Our Love In Circles

To achieve the best results
We need to act like adults
Talking about things we did
And not screaming little kids
Shouting and throwing a tantrum
That seems to be our love anthem
Not hearing a word we say
There has to be another way
To discuss and solve these issues
Our hearts are being so misused
Every time we have a fight
It comes down to we recite
The same debate time and again
It's far to long since we've been
Listening with great intent
It seems we are quite content
This situations on a cycle
Round and round for quite a while
Never stopping always busy
Making both of our heads dizzy
Getting evil and more vicious
This loves no longer delicious
It turned bitter and absurd
Something in both of us stirred
Anger and hatred we see
There's no more ability
To talk and work out what happened
Our love is totally flattened
Stomped out by our stupid pride
And the hurt way deep inside

Premium Member Another Lady of Shallot

I once came across a poem
It reminded me of my own mayhem
Not only love was its anthem
But it had loneliness as its other gem
It was about a lady, who died in her maze
A maze made of magic and containing a curse
While reading about her, my own blood did rush
Why, it would seem that for love and loneliness my entire name did gush
Well, well, would it not be best to live and not make any fuss?

I do live as did the great Lady of Shallot
To my own stand, I have tied the knot
So much that my entire life seems to be a complot
A divine one, why for my bad deeds, I am sure the Lord is all put
Once full of love, I now shine in solo
The side I show to the world is the one so smiling
The side I show to the world seems to be thrilling
Lost in needless dreaming, my real side can be killing
For it made of more than many a woe

I shall ride my boat
And allow my pride to gloat
Of course, hidden inside my coat
Would be my heart, as frail as a child in its cot
Of course, my curse I would wait on
For a curse it may be, but a blessing as well
Who can ascertain that he can foretell
Whether life shall give me hell, or whether it shall give me a bell
To ring and announce that I am but the eternal one!

A modern Shallot lady, made of whims
I shall recount to you in writing, my dreams
As long as my art shall follow its many streams
Why as long as my heart does give out silent screams
My curse is known only to my soul
Shall you once or twice do hear my voice
Know that I have every reason to rejoice
For I myself have thrown the dice
And the heavens did hear my call!
