You call me up and ask me to come round, when I get to your place you are nowhere to be found. You left a note pinned to your door , where are you now, where are you now.
You say you love me then you say you don’t , you will love me forever then you say you won’t . You got me all mixed up, you drive me insane, fireworks going off in my brain. Amy… Amy your my baby…. You drive me crazy
Like a Bee sting, your poison under my skin. Your crazy but your my crazy . You have got my head in a whirl, ha …ha… but know you are my girl. ….you are my girl.
You smell of nicotine, you drink too much wine. Your hair is a mess but your mine, your mine, getting high from the feel of your touch. Your laughter is infectious, you talk too much. Amy Amy your my baby...
You flip me off again and again, then you come running back .You say you’re sorry and give me that smile your infectious…..Amy….Amy…your my crazy baby.
Your loving is intense you got me on my knees begging for more. You ware me out, then you slam the door. Amy…Amy…you drive me crazy.
You give me love and then you leave, your such a teas. Where are you going now….where are you going now ….Amy ….Amy , you drive me crazy. Amy
i have written about her many times,
but the more time i get to spend with her,
the more her beauty prevails
she is more beautiful than a thousand beauties
and her beauty isn’t even the best thing about her
she feels like the first sip of strong coffee on a winters morning
like when you’re turning a page in a book
and the two stuck pages easily fall apart
the feeling you get spraying whipped cream onto your hot chocolate at christmas
she feels like when you are so tired you can feel yourself drifting off into dream land
i have danced under sunrises drunk on vodka,
wine and laughter,
effortlessly content,
but just laying next to her feels parallel
i wonder if her hands can spin silk
and if the quiver of her voice can send waves crashing backwards into the sea
the depth of her eyes make me feel as though i could float away
i have never looked at a human being and seen such a soothing ambience,
but she radiates it
her body is filled with poetry i had never seen or heard
and every time she touches me
she imprints it onto my soul
she sounds like musicians playing the violin on rowing boats
gliding gently along a stream under moonlight
as its reflection glistens onto the water
she is embedded into me like cherry blossom trees planted into the earth centuries ago flowering their petals in summer
she will never understand the spell she has over me
if loving her is a sin
i could spend an eternity in hell
because every living moment spent with her is heaven
Breaking through, a rising star
Dreaming of a life so far
From the one you lived each day
Since the day he went away
Deep within a tragic soul
Alcohol may fill the hole
You built your dreams on moving sands
Then savaged by the scathing hands
Chorus
A broken bird so hurt with pain
Fragility; a life in vain
A talent from beyond the years
Has filled the world with shallow tears
Sharpened by a breaking heart
You gave your all, you played your part
But sometimes love can hurt so much
You cannot bear a simple touch
Emotions poured into your words
Caged with all the broken birds
On the stage; a singing lark
Behind the scenes, a love so dark
A broken bird so hurt with pain
Fragility; a life in vain
A talent from beyond the years
Has filled the world with shallow tears
Alcohol will give you strength
To hide behind the sweet pretence
But broken souls will never heal
Broken dreams they came to steal
Given time you may have found
The reasoning for your sweet sound
A life that could have given peace
A love so true, would give release
A broken heart can hurt so bad
A broken mind is what you had
Questioned your worth for another
Mistaken as a star crossed lover
A broken bird so hurt with pain
Fragility; a life in vain
A talent from beyond the years
Has filled the world with shallow tears

I chose {Amy Winehouse} as the tragic figure to honor: brilliant, gregarious, recalcitrant, luminous, and undone by the fire that made her unforgettable.
Amaranthine Girl (A Tribute Song)
You walked the stage in chiaroscuro light,
a chatoyant soul who prowled through every night;
your voice—limpid velvet with a wisteria ache—
could rake the sky mist clean with every note you’d hold.
Behind the winsome grin, the weltschmerz took its claim,
your threadbare heart still doggedness in flame;
and though the world adored your sacrosanct refrain,
You bore a burden no applause could ever tame.
(chorus)
Oh, amaranthine girl, you sang beyond the pain,
Your luster never wilted in the dismal rain;
Though hubris and the hecatomb kept pulling you apart,
Your song remains ubiquitous—engraved in every heart.
Verse 2
You wore no tiara, yet you ruled the smoky bars,
a viceroy of sorrow underneath the broken stars;
your laughter—genteel, gamesome—masked the acrimony,
an erroneous joy and grief in faultless harmony.
You tried to evanesce the ache that writhed inside,
but fame can be a fickle, inimical tide;
and though your muliebrity shone bright through every fall,
The foofaraw around you built a Barmecidal wall.
(Chorus)
Oh, amaranthine girl, you sang beyond the pain,
Your luster never wilted in the dismal rain;
Though hubris and the hecatomb kept pulling you apart,
Your song remains ubiquitous—engraved in every heart.
(Bridge)
Spasmodically, the cameras flashed, officious in their chase,
Their meretricious palaver tried to strip away your grace;
Yet even as the world grew loud, your voice stayed halcyon,
a sanctity of truth no blatherskite could prey upon.
And when the final cloudscape dimmed, your light did not evanesce—
It lingers redolent in time, a sacred catharsis.
(Final Chorus)
Oh, amaranthine girl, though the night reclaimed your flame,
your melody still rises—never ossified by shame;
and yonder in the quiet, where the sky and sorrow break,
Your song keeps beating unabated in the world’s collective heart.
P.D. vs' Amy Gr33n,,Slam, Bam Thank You Ma'am
So Miss @my Gr33n,
Do you think your s__t is mean
Trying to compete
Do you really want to taste defeat
Your dose of medicine, had no effect at all
Your Slam, Bam Thank You Ma'am
Was a sorry booty call.
Trying to talk the talk
Trying to bark and walk
All them words your are saying
Sounds like you are praying
Who really wants to listen?
Who really should care?
And what the hell is that S__t in your hair?
So you think you can play the part.
Before things fall apart
Please @my Gr33n stop before you fart
Trust me it does not matter If I let you win.
Your words are pointless and the idea is pathetic.
Please stop talking you are giving me a headache.
Just stop rhyming.
Sounds like your crying.
Okay pause.............as the moment goes bye.
Giving you a minute before you break down and cry.
My words are a weapon, You know that right.
Next time shut your mouth, keep those lips tight
Let me just stop and bring this to an end.
@my Gr33n remember ....I am your friend

From the powers to be,
Her Royal Highness Amy,
I’ve been granted wishes
That add up to three.
If I wish them well,
Then to Her Highness I tell,
She’ll bestow upon me,
The prize of glory.
I wish I wasn’t so dumb,
Oops, there goes number one,
Wasted on making me smart.
But now that I am
I am ready to begin
My remaining two wishes to start.
I wish I knew what to do,
Oops, there goes number two,
I guess wish one has worn off.
Now I’m left with just one more,
Before Her Highness shows me the door
But now I know how to pull it off.
I wish you were here to help me,
Oops, there goes number three,
But I find that it’s not so bad,
Because now you are here
And I can hold you my dear
And that makes me oh so glad.
So thank you Your Highness
For your challenge and kindness
Please grant glory to another poem
They deserve it more
But as I walk out the door
I know never again I’ll be alone.
Your flick of eyeliner,
Tattoo's and beehive
A bit of rock and roll,
something of Jazz or Jive.
Your authentic words
ingrained in our memory
Listening to the beats,
tapping along to the melody.
The sultry, smokiness
the range of your voice,
We're right there with you
the moment you soar.
As you up the rhythm
taking us on a
Nostalgic, Jazz filled ride.
When we saw how they hounded you
We felt that knock to your pride.
Your determination,
uniqueness and drive
Inspired us women,
Man you did shine.
Watched you grasp onto the feeling's
to help release a little pressure.
Inhale the love before it became a bit lesser.
Back to Black when he went back to her.
You sang us through the hurt,
Coming down from the high.
We sang along with you,
We heard your heart sigh.
Walking around a little shattered and broken
A hole in your heart, alone and unspoken
Clutching to something to fill the void
Is it a hunger, a lack of nurturing and care.
When we need it the most hope somebody is there.

I Love Amy Green.
There, I said it. I've come clean,
but please do not misinterpret me.
I am not in love with my sweet Amy Green.
Amy Green is very happily married.
Bad news for me unfortunately.
I could find myself falling head over heels for Amy easily.
I'd be less than truthful my sweet Amy
if I denied ever having the occasional harmless romance fantasy
regarding Amy Green and Yours Truly,
but I do love my sweet Amy most importantly
because she is now and forever family to me.
Some how it seemed we were both destined to meet.
Kindred Spirits are both she and me.
Forever Your Beloved My Sweet Amy Green.
