THE FOUR ELEMENTS OF NATURE

Whistling air
burning fire
running water,
waiting earth...
water with earth, clay,
water with air, foam,
fire with water, water
very warm...
Air with air, flute,
earth with earth, garden,
fire with fire, love,
water with water, agauceiro...
Just four essences,
four sweet handfuls
and a cauldron...
The universe has already been
 perfumed with magnolias... !

"It's beautiful and bright...
It's a heart humming in the night!"*

That is metaphorically speaking,
without an "as" or "like" leaking.

Originally spoken of a planet...
but what about a pomegranate?--

from that day's grocery sack! :D

Could be anything you envision...

*First 2 lines were stated in:
"Stella Endicott and the Anything-Is-Possible Poem" :)
by Kate DiCamillo, illustrated by Chris Van Dusen.

I was inspired to begin it, by the very last paragraph:

" 'That's a very good description,' said Horace Broom.
'It sounds like it might be the beginning of a poem.' "

I was also inspired by their teacher, Miss Liliana, who exhorted:

"...a good way to begin an anything-is-possible poem is by thinking metaphorically." (pg. 7).

Then I took the "anything-is-possible" idea a little further...

Elements

Soil for
                  shapes ...
                  Water to provide
                  cheer ...
                   Fire to afford
                   heat...
                   air to
                   breath ...
                 In the huge crucible
                 of nature just
                 four essences
                 to create life ...
                 To unable the universe
                  to vibrate ...!

Four Elements

Clay to model
                 shapes
                 Water to support
                 encouragement
                  Fire to supply,
                  heat...
                  air to create
                  blow
                In the large crucible
                of nature only
                four essences
                to create life ...
                So that the universe
                can vibrate!

Harisson

One day when you are big and strong
I will explain to you the confusion
the reasons behind the way it is
and why you are the one thing that has kept me going

On that warm day in June
when the angels took Liliana
it was you that helped me rebuild my life
you were the focus in my life

Two years old and my saviour
the person I have to thank for life
your smile stopped the tears
and your laughter raised me up

To my boy, Harisson
In your little two years of life
you have brought me through the dark
and are my light at the end of this dark tunnel

For Love of Liliana

On the 30th of June you entered this world,
so cute and content my beautiful girl.
I have never seen such a proud father,
kissing your hands and feeling your feet.
Little blue eyes so hard to forget
wrapped in a pink shawl, you were my princess.
Your brothers smile when he first met you.
He stroked your cheek and called your name.
But, it was too late my tiny princess.
The angels couldn't wait any longer.
On the 30th of June you left this world,
so peaceful and pale my beautiful girl:Liliana
