For Love of Liliana

On the 30th of June you entered this world,
so cute and content my beautiful girl.
I have never seen such a proud father,
kissing your hands and feeling your feet.
Little blue eyes so hard to forget
wrapped in a pink shawl, you were my princess.
Your brothers smile when he first met you.
He stroked your cheek and called your name.
But, it was too late my tiny princess.
The angels couldn't wait any longer.
On the 30th of June you left this world,
so peaceful and pale my beautiful girl:Liliana

Congratulations Amy, on your success in Deborah Guzzi’s, “Who Loves Ya Baby” contest with this with this sadly beautiful poem. It's easy to see why you placed. This one tears at the soul. Your poetic skills shine. Lovingly, Dane Ann

Amy, I am so sorry. Such a beautiful gift and then the loss. Your poem expresses both your love and grief and is worthy of winning. Love, Joyce
