**Therapy Session**

Some people insist that a demon exists within all of us.
A rapist is nothing more than a thief,
And it's clear that some public defenders
Don’t have more intelligence than their clients.
Remember, you are not obligated to serve as a juror in every case.
With that understanding, creating a mental trend becomes straightforward.

It's astonishing to discover a hockey player who is anything but fierce
or a police officer controlled by fear and anger.
A cook without a kitchen is ridiculous
as tango without jingo—a philosophy that leaves no gaps.

The new breakfast drink is here: iced coffee
In the morning and mocha lattes all day.
Don’t interfere with the work that empowers us each day.

I am a woman who follows the warmth,
and I refuse to believe that a tree that doesn’t blossom is a worthless creation.
Yes, you can eat tree bark while the lark builds its nest on the ground.
A philosophy without any gaps stands strong.

Matcha

He was going to choose coffee.
But this matcha drink intrigued him.
Made him buy it on a lark.
Monday coffee?
Monday Matcha sounds better!
He wanted to share matcha with his coworkers.
But then they would hate him.
Glaring at him as if his clothes were melting away.
And also his hair is dripping with some goo.
They’ve always hated him.
He keeps the matcha a secret.
He hands everyone their coffee drinks.
The lattes, the doubles, even the triples.
He takes a sip of this green drink.
The taste is odd.
Like drinking footprints.
He takes another sip.
The taste is like some person handed him this green drink.
Except it doesn't taste green, or gray, or even orange.
Or floral, or bright, or happy.
He had been drinking coffee since college.
Terrible times.
Do people like matcha?
Do people hate matcha?
They sure hate him.
Yet, somehow the rest of the week was…
Like matcha.
You can’t spit it out.
You can’t undo it.
Everyone hates you.
Matcha Monday…
The coffeeshop asked what he wanted.
And he really didn’t know.

Premium MemberShe Cried

He took her there most days
They rowed out to his small yacht
They sat and drank take away lattes
She just cried a lot….

She was so full of sadness
Tormented by relentless fear
So very troubled
Her mind clouded and unclear

She liked it on the river
It gave momentary relief
Life seemed a little clearer
Though be it only brief

She saw them in the distance
Hoped they would come her way
Unbelievably without deviation
They were there without delay

Swimming underneath the small yacht
In water so clear and blue
So close they were touchable
He cuddled her and said,
“This is just for you”

The dolphins swam away….again without deviation
A direct path into the open water
She knew in her heart those majestic creatures
Had sought her…

The emotions they evoked in her
Mere words cannot describe
With heart and mind now smiling
She sipped her latte
And just cried….

Coffee: The Greatest Of All Time

The little humble bean
that found its way into a cup
made a splash upon the scene
after Kaldi’s goat had stirred it up

it travelled fast and well
from Ethiopia to Yemen
some called it the drink from hell
until Clement became a fan.

the aroma crossed the pond
and Boston had to celebrate
once the New World had succumbed
it quickly poured out into states

before old London knew
they served it morning, noon and night
this penny university brew
would see its name put up in lights

in newspapers and magazines
the high street flooded with its shops
a berry rarely seen
in processed form warmed more than pots

served in different ways
from skinny whites to espresso shots
cappuccinos to tall lattes
we toast the goat that time forgot.

Premium MemberBoho Honeymoon

My mind is filled with pretty things
Thoughts of days with you
Where we can sit by river banks
With nothing else to do
Lavender iced lattes
Lazy afternoons
Listening to The Neighborly
My kind of honeymoon

Premium MemberNear to You

I would do most anything
If it meant I'd be near to you
For a minute, for an hour
For a lifetime, maybe two

To see you at a craft fair
Or at my favorite store
I'd take whatever you would give
And wouldn't ask for more

Lattes are no problem
LMNT's are a breeze
I'd walk the earth to get to you
And do it all with ease

I'd love to share a sunset
To watch with you somewhere
You could sit right over here
And I way over there

Just to know I did it
I always wanted to
Because I would do most anything
If it meant I'd be near to you

Premium MemberLattes Are Yummy

I'm here to check and see
Your availability

If you'd care to take a ride
If you have the capability

To get out for a while
If there's a possibility

We could hit a coffee shop
And on the way back simply stop

To talk and drink latte
Or sit right there at the café

Let's split a French croissant
Your company is all I want

Premium MemberSimple Pleasures

Its the simple pleasures in life
That excite me the most
Like the smell of coffee in the morning
Or Vegemite on toast

A beautiful day around nature
Laughter , cuddles galore
Lattes and cuppa’s
Being with the humans l adore

Watching a good crime series
Being comfy and cosy at home
Eating lots of chocolate
Writing poems, doing Wordle on my phone

Being warm and snug in my bed
Listening to music or the rain
Its these and so many more simple pleasures
That bring my life contentment again and again!

Premium MemberDear Coffee

Dear coffee I need him like I need you;
My tears won’t dry they keep running,
heart in ruin I don’t know what to do;

That reflection can’t be who I’m becoming;
All I can taste is the lattes he made me
blended with laughter and music he’d sing;

I see his shadow outside where he would be;
Particles dissolve along with a speaker
collapsing into the taste of discarded coffee;

Not hearing his voice now is too much to bare,
I want so badly for him to be right here.

Happy pumpkin spice latte season!

Someone said the leaves had turned
to butterscotch, banana, and lemon
but they don’t taste right.

The Early Autumn Breeze

The early autumn breeze carries with it the first hints of coolness of the coming winter

The green of the summer seems to change overnight to fiery reds, oranges and yellows as the beauty of the Father's creation inspires artists of all ages to set about making their own creations

The leaves begin falling from their lofty heights and gently flutter to the ground as the smell of baked goods, spicey gumbo and pumpkin spiced lattes fill the air with their goodness

Premium MemberSurprise Birthday Trip Destination

Sarah, for your birthday, I do not want to ruin the surprise,
So put on your mask, and here is a blinder to cover your eyes.
I will give you hints as we get on our private fumigated plane.
Of course your mother is waiting, and she will do the same.

We will have a menu that has Belgium chocolates I can't hide.
They will be scrumptiously delicious, and taste juicy inside.
You may order hot chocolate with a shot of caramel and Nutella.
There will be some pretty hot guys, and maybe a particular fella.

Please do not guess yet, watch your feet as I guide you up the steps.
There are protein shakes, brownies, flavored lattes, sprinkled flecks.
An extra shot of expresso? I do not see why not, Sarah Dear.
Yes the destination café might be coming abundantly clear.

Sit beside your mother and do not guess out loud.
She has told me all about you; she is insanely proud.
No doubt there will be scones, muffins, and a sandwich of the day.
Come on pilot, get the engine started. We are ready to play!
