Premium MemberFantasy of the Heart

This night of silence with its moonglow
offers me a long-sought resolution towards serenity
allowing my thoughts to wander into my past
with a "visualization" to another time
filled with beautiful faces that will never age
    drifting "whimsy" memories
When life was love and love was lived
    like a devotional "dream"
to be captured and injected with fragrant flowers
In a world filled with colorful "imagination"
    and engaged "reverie"

I lift my eyes to the night sky
holding each bittersweet recollection
    When I shared my heart
Remembering each face caressed
that hangs suspended in my mind, resting
like a "hallucination" of motionless yesteryears
When my heart dripped sobs from tender desires
And life was never thought of
Rather lived and experienced, drenched by passing lovers
trapped in emotional landslides of tortured expectations
Leaving too many eyes, I looked into
becoming shadows of stolen, sad years
that weigh heavily in this night of silence
where I'll ask my heart for forgiveness

Premium MemberMountain Meek And Majestic

Massive, monumental, mammoth, mighty, and marvelous
Has my magnificence been devoid of arduousness?
With an unknown collision of plates, as though two hearts
With folding, faulting, and fondling, nature creates my parts.

There's in me, life-like evolution and involution.
Volcanoes and earthquakes bring me inner persecution.
I try to grow tall with my steep, sharp, sloping, sliding sides.
Within my compassionate folds, any scared creature hides.

With snow capped peaks, valley glaciers, and river gorges
I've flora and fauna that are gorgeously glorious.
Caring cliffs call the creatures to the peaks to touch the sky.
Fountains, streams, and rivers from me towards the sea flow by.

Amidst strong stone shifting, rock rifting, and boulder bouncing
Amidst storms, rains, avalanches, landslides, and floods, astounding
I exist, as the plains and seas, a part of the cosmos.
When and how I'll rise or fall, the Almighty alone knows.

Premium MemberIn mediation of my own identity

In mediation of my own identity, do you see an involuntary army of one?
Failed my fellowship, a downpour I need myself the most; affectionate landslides run
'Cause if rain erosion is all that matters, destruction at most may not have begun;
Incomplete confidence; me asking for anything from the world can not be undone
Consciousness is the way that my character has been branded by the sun;
So if me asking for help does surprise you or, for that matter, anyone;
My shoulders will silently continue to carry this burden alone by the ton
Admitting you were cherished to the edge of the greater; that's when I won;
Hidden in plain sight, yet it's beyond amazing how deeply you can stun
Infinity, selfishly rich, is worthless compared to a snow-day with someone

CLIMATE BEGS ON US

CLIMATE BEGS ON US!
Hearing nature groaning
In wild fires yawning
With storms mourn roaring
And mother’s arms opening
To consume self painfully panting
Through landslides and floods washing
When her rich children nesting
On the porches and coaches
Made from mother’s beauty stitches
Debating bills that owe them ravages
I wonder who hears mum’ anguishes
Empathetically and concerning
Perhaps the unspoken offsprings
Dwell upon heat waves wailing
Or innocent ones being scorched
Into ashes and those wilting
Unless those ones thirst to death squinting
But not us, speaking beings.

Lightning struck

Lightning struck

For transfer to soil..
High voltage of electrical value.
Currents that continue to be considered for soil..
Actually,it's like an oxidizer..

Audible fear is firing from the sky.
Fire,landslides and swamps..
It exists because it is ostentatious.
Its naturalness can be erased.

Premium MemberNurturing Nature

Creation . . . so fundamental,
    As genetic building blocks
        Are bound and tied.
Dancing along a new foundation,
    Where strength is gained
        When power's applied.

Throughout growth,
    A framework can be seen,
        Emerging from what is learned.
Yet that knowledge is often tested,
    Forged from a crucible,
        To be tempered, not burned.

While great pressure surrounds,
As if to harden, with hopes
        To bond beyond a break.
A natural outcome
    Forms new directions,
        That are possible to take.

This develops towards choice,
    Where the weight of
        Decision resides.
And if experience
    Contributes to some wisdom,
        To avoid the landslides.

Then destiny is reborn,
    As time and space
        May force a new fate.
Since by giving more
    Than any taking ... we'll
        Develop beyond all the hate.

Premium MemberForest

Flora and fauna of birds, beasts, microbes, soils, atmospheres,
Should only these contribute to the forest components?
Height and densities of trees and plants, and their thriving years...
Aren't silver, gold, diamonds, and gems woodland endowments?

Who cares much for herbs and shrubs where tiny insects abide?
Flies, bees, frogs, rodents, bats, and rats playfully hide and seek.
Ants, crickets, grasshoppers, centipedes, and millipedes hide
Behind grass, leaves, and mud to escape threats as they are weak.

With animals, vegetation, and evergreen landscapes
Air to breathe, food, medicines, wood, and fodder they provide
Forests reduce pollutants in air, water, sound, and space.
Protect humans from floods, droughts, soil erosion, and landslides.

Though like a student in primary school, I might recite
Abiding midst a forest is a venturous delight.

Premium MemberNature's Stern Warning

Extreme temperatures
Melting of glaciers
Rising sea level
Wildfires
Forests' obliteration
Draughts
Drying up of lakes and rivers
Desertification
Hurricanes
Storms
Floodings, and
Landslides
Is the vocabulary, Mother Nature uses, to
Pen ts stern warning to Man:

" Oh, you thoughtless being, mind your ways and revere,
my eternal laws of harmonious cooperation and coexistence
otherwise, unable would I be to provide for your subsistence."

For more than two weeks the temperatures in Greece have been around
40 Celcius. Sometimes, like today it is 45.
During this period wildfires are raging across the country. It comes a day that
our firefighters are trying to contain more than eighty fires.

Premium MemberSpring Is In the Air

SPRING IS IN THE AIR
And the birds are chirping
And singing their happy songs.

SPRING IS IN THE AIR
And the bees are pollinating the
Blossoms in the flowers and trees.

SPRING IS IN THE AIR
But there is another side to Spring
To which we should all be aware.

SPRING IS IN THE AIR
And we are enthralled by its beauty.
But be wise and advised of its dark side.

SPRING IS IN THE AIR
But that doesn't mean
We don't have a care.

SPRING IS IN THE AIR
And so are mosquitoes
And other undesirables.

SPRING IS IN THE AIR
And so are allergenic pollens.

SPRING IS IN THE AIR
And so are bees and wasps.

SPRING IS IN THE AIR
And hibernators are out.

SPRING IS IN THE AIR
And the snow is melting,
Causing massive landslides
And flooding the lowlands.

SPRING IS IN THE AIR
And flies, flees, and snakes
Are looking for things to eat.

SPRING IS IN THE AIR
And it's a great time of the year.
And we need not worry, fret, or fear.
But there are some things out there
That might engender a tear.

Premium MemberHow Do You Feel

short circuited and
the fuse of purpose keeps tripping
high voltage boredom
on auto pilot in slow motion
the roundabout is not a funny circus
currents alternate
directly challenge
polar opposition in contradiction of truth

‘it’s a beautiful day and you are in it’
thunder clouds bolt hail and torment
for no reason at all
five layers of clothes just to keep warm
a frosted swamp submerges reason
because it can and it will
webs of confusion crushes through ice
as if waiting for landslides and mud
so much is clear

lightening emboldens the scene
as water colours bleach the canvas
pierce through fabric dreams and anticipation
thin skinned the jester keeps smiling
an empty façade persona and mask
reaches out as a poet who writes
with frosted nib and inked consternation
lost for words founded in screamed silence

like her own meta-morphed metaphor
muck seems like a euphemism
warmed up in a microwave of sorrow

maybe she will walk to the beach today
watch breakers and tides
gather a sea shell
listen to what can be heard
when all else is quiet

Premium MemberTyphoon

Mighty nature’s force mixing things around
Battering places in agitation
Landslides and flashfloods surge high from the ground
Causing damages, large devastation
High casualty rate --- worst destruction
Climate change creates more occurrences
Of this monstrous ghost leaving crises
But midst the strongest wind and heavy rain
Prayer saves us... typhoon’s strength decreases
So, save mother earth to draw storms in vain.

Premium MemberThe Life of Rocks

The rocks
Hard and concrete
Are sleeping
Erosion and blastings
Make them awake
They erode into different
Amazing shapes and sizes
And man blasts them off for marbles
To beautify their own house
Too much erosion and blastings
Have annoyed them
Resulting in landslides
Carrying away
The belongings of men
And the beauty of nature

The Lines of Justice Drawn

Once I saw, father was drawing a cave of the Altamira.
Still, there is so much light in this darkness!
He said.
I saw a bison was emerging with the drawing-line
And more to follow
In an unknown cave in northern Spain,
I could see the wonder of a constellation.
You never went to the Altamira caves.
But now you can see
He Pulled my hands and painted red And pressed on the wall of the cave.
My hand-prints were
Like countless primitive humans
As if hematite started flowing within mine
An indomitable wild smell around
Wild animals roamed freely but in herds.
In the forest and on the wet ground
In reality, I was alone and victimized
If ever by landslides
The cave path was closed
Yet here everyone was allied
Humans and wildlife, humans and others!
Then suddenly I saw
A divine triangular light had fallen on his eyes
I thought that father was Jesus Himself
The church bells started ringing like a dream.

David

There was a story written for you
Guess you didn’t want to see it through
There was a light that burned deep within
Always a wonder, and questioning
There was a truth buried in lies
I always saw beneath your blue eyes
There was a faith draped with fear
The lenses all blurry, not seeing clear

Who am I to judge?
Just a broken heartedness
I cannot see you, see you again
Who am I to judge?
Just a broken heartedness
I cannot see you, see you again.

I saw you suffer, I saw you cry
I saw your dreams slip you by
I saw your landslides
and I saw the rooms
You never wanted me to walk through

Who am I to judge?
Just a broken heartedness
I cannot see, you see you again
Who am I to judge?
Just a broken heartedness
I cannot wait to see you again.

I saw your failures
I saw regrets
I saw the things that made you fret
I saw the door way
with arms opened wide
Now you're in heaven
on the other side.

 Who am I to judge?
Just a broken heartedness
I cannot see you see you again
Who am I to judge?
Just a broken heartedness
I cannot wait to see you again.

I love you forever

A Tribute To Soldiers

Lofty glory be to the soldiers
Who committedly protect the land -
It's people and the line of culture ,
Of the time-run ,running and future ,
Woods, rivers, fields and stretch of sand;
The sure and unique armed purgers
Of all evils and wanton attacks filthy ,
Besides averting all entrance stealthy .

Like a feeble child safe and sure
Of its parent in close proximity,
The nation's wholesome entity prime
Has a  secure  and complacent  clime ;
Like immunity guarding until extremity,
You defend, and  do  calamities   endure ;
Steady then be your task intrepid...
Success be ever at your brave bid .

Armoured with courage and confidence ,
In blizzard ,showers or landslides any
Rescuing  victims, selflessly run the risk ;
With infinite vigour do always feats brisk -
Save ,set ,move and such a great many ,
Truly is manifest ,reliance  and  defence ;
Words fall short and render feelings mute
Hence : a formal , alert honour-salute..!
