A funny thing happened on my way to work
Was stopped by a down and out man
Asked if I could spare a ten bucks for a coffee
Ten bucks could buy a whole damn can!
Said he didn't want to keep on bugging me
Every day when we met on the street
Thought ten bucks would keep him in coffee
For two or possibly three weeks!
Suspected this coffee he was talking about
Wasn't your average brew
His breath was enough to knock down a rhino
It was extraordinarily potent, p-eew!
Well lo and behold saw a dude with a camera
Filming the whole damn scene
Turned out this down and out beggar guy
Was a plant from Candid Camera it seems!
Was just about to give him the finger
Good thing they told me in time
Would have seen my mug on national TV
Giving him that very rude sign!

Building bricks
Brick by brick we build our nation
And stone by stone we build a generation.
The children are the future, the old our voting class;
The young have given up voting because politicians have no class.
Building new laws and building new houses;
Nothing this government does smells of roses.
Leaving the EU seems like it will come back to haunt us.
Rosie is in the hospital, the NHS is seeing closes.
Sack them all because they choose money over patients;
Every generation loses faith but nothing ever changes.
So they plant a tree as they knock down a forest;
Stop with your lies, just give it a rest.
Let the people vote and then try to take the decision back.
Politics, dirty tricks; power of conviction you lack.
Money rules the world and money changes hands;
Ideology and philosophy, but still you have no master plan.

It's All Come to This
Fought years to keep your heart,
Rightfully mine from the start,
Ignored everything else,
Felt so stupid and stressed,
Learned you'd later squash this heart in my chest
The last time,
We looked in each others eyes
Savaged my insides
It's all come to this...
Our final words with no kiss
No hugs and no sign of remorse,
It's obvious things have taken their course,
Your way or highway
You don’t give a *****what I do,
Wasted many hours trying to talk to you,
It's like trying to knock down a brick wall,
Your love was never intended for the long haul
Foolish thinking your abusive days were over,
Guess that's impossible,
Your an ******* undercover,
One certainty, you wont change,
Future with no “you”
No 7 Steps system,
No healing time frame
Too mad to talk I left you there,
Guardian Angel made my choice very clear
All my efforts washed to the sky,
Wars over, I need to say goodbye
Tears run down my face and I feel rage,
Like fine wine, my happiness will grow with age.

The little rivulets of water run off down the glass,
Watching the rain trickle, sadly they said it would pass.
The drops roll from the top of the car as if in a race
Joining together at the bottom at quite a fast pace.
On the windscreen it looks like a deluge rushing down
These tiny droplets of clear water that make us frown.
No washing can we put out again today
The grass stays uncut for yet another day.
The spherical droplets one at a time
Individually beautiful, and so clear that they shine.
A tiny droplet of water so clear
Joined with others they can cause such untold fear.
They can knock down a building and wash away a dam
They cause so much damage to anything they can.
But without these droplets of water from the sky
We would none of us be here, we all would die.
They are tiny droplets of life that we see.
If only we could enjoy with a full certainty
Of controlling the little jewels that fall from the sky
We would all feel better in the rain, both you and I
