Skies dressed in blue mists
Of withered rose regrets and~
Rain-kissed diamond tears
Reflect deep, unfading love…
Yearning in sapphire silence
Range
Of hues,
Silk petals
Emanate sweet
Scent
Blooms
Leap out
On branches
Opulence in
May
Skies
Promise
Rain showers
Infers thunder's
Noise,
Grass
Remains
All soaked in
Intense rainfall
Now
3-16-19
J-ust ask not for trouble,
A-void saying vicious lies;
M-ake no intended wrong,
E-ven blunder neath the
S-kies.
A-sk not for trouble,
N-ever let your tongue twist the truth;
G-iven mouth must relay reality,
U-sing the words that soothe,
L-ive by the Creator's commands, reach your notable goal;
O-n the thirty-first of January, just ask not for trouble.
Wens van die Nagtegaal
Die tering knaag en groei aan my; elke uur en dag
Obsessiewe abses met ‘n kompulsiewe smag.
Grou ‘n gat en maak maar plek; vir doodsangs in die nag
Wie sal huil? Wie sal treur? Wie sal wen? En wie sal lag?
Na-ywer in die klank sal klink, en saggies sal hul sing:
Talmend ritmies, soet sal klink; as hul die loflied bring.
Liedere, sange, stemme klink; hul ereplek is lankal vol –
Dit sal wees die slot van daardie donker dooie kol…
In die geestelik’ vergadering; ‘n liggaamsdeel se doel
Vergroeisel was die pyn en nou; die einste wat ek voel.
Los maar eers die chirurgie; ‘k wil dit liewers hou –
Dalk nie eers kwaadaardig nie; ek wil dit mos onthou
Helfte van my saailinge en dubbeld van my oes
Die kanker wat my lewe eis kan my nie meer verwoes!
Sê nou maar ek kies die pyn; word dit ‘n afskeid-lied?
Hoe sal dit dan ooit kan wees? Die raad sou dit verbied…
RIDE OF A
LIFETIME
A roller-coaster catches my eye in flash
B eguiling me to run bullet fast...
C hequered spiking thrill press my spine
D ancing stars shoot then surround me fine
E levating energy screaming release
F ever fervor crawling --
G leaming a
H appy-go-lucky mood!
I nhaling deep through
J uggling groove of the rollercoaster.
K indles me for more, more and more! yet,
L iquifying my knees and nerves.. I..
M ounting to swerves and curves
N uts and shells will break
O n rain of screams and shouts.
P opping heartbeats!
Q uickening speed
R ough ground is up!
S kies smiling down!
T wists and turns making me froze
U nlimited are my thunder screams!
V eins beneath engorged,
W ith shoes to drop-out too!
X eransis throat
Y elling for water soothe!
z ealing roller-coaster ride...
