Just About Poems | Examples

Sometimes it's just about me

I know it may sound funny
It's just how I feel
Somethings I have to do in life is just about me
I have found that every path taken
Some to endless points
Lead me to a road where I have to do what's meant for me
I may never really acquire true peace
However that's just a state of mind
If I do what I have to do for me
I know I will find
A state of bliss
Green pastures do await
I know I will one find tranquility
It's just in every little step towards it
I just have to take

Premium Member Just About Gone

I’ll be just about ready when it’s just about time
To do whatever needs to be done.
With my Winchester loaded and my bay freshly shod,
I’m riding off to seek the setting sun.

Since it’s just about money and it’s just about greed,
Let’s finish tabulating the cost.
Got my saddlebags loaded with the things I hold dear,
Except for those I’ve already lost.

You can have whatever’s reasonable. Just let me keep what’s mine.
A trail can only go so far, and this is the end of the line.

Since it’s just about over, I can just about laugh
To think your word could ever be true.
When you just about get it, I’ll be just about gone,
And then you’ll find the joke is on you.

I Know, This Is Just About, As Good As It Gets

I walk forest paths because they are my best choice
Find the calm by hearing Mother Nature's true voice.
With eyes clear I see fish flop, lake water glisten
I view Nature's paintings, to its music listen.

As welcomed sun renews my newly stirred blood
I wade the low streams, feeling their cool, oozing mud.
As clouds above move in to give the needed shade
I marvel at this tapestry Nature hath made.

Trekking on to highest of bright green forested hills
Looking down, lakeside beauty, its many thrills.
I feel calming breeze as Nature enters my veins
I have left behind dark world and its many stains.

As red sun cries out that it is about to set
I know this is just about as good as it gets.

Robert J. Lindley, 2-20-2018
Sonnet 12/12, (Nature and Its Magnificent Gifts)

Note - Date given as presented today. However, this poem was written back in 1982.
I edited the poem this morn, to now present it in 12 syllable verses instead of the previous ten syllable verses of the original 1982 poem.

Love, It's Just About Time For You

Just about time to make a change
Just about time to start something new
Just about time find my one
Love, it's just about time for you

New things are coming from the old
Some seeds have died to bring the new
There's a crop that's ripe for the harvest
Love, it's just about time for you

My bucket list is getting shorter
You're the one that I want to woo
Before you know it we'll be together
Love it's just about time for you

I know that it will mean some change
From the things that I am used too
I want you more then anything else
Love it's just about time or you

Just About Time

Just exactly what is time…
To me I guess
Tis no more or less
An invention of one’s mind

Can one really stay
Or store time away
Save it up
For another day

Can one measure what
Does not exist
No! …No more than store
The morning mist

Are you wasteful when
You let time fly by
And once it’s spent
What did it buy

It has no substance
Less even than a ghost
Yet once it’s gone
Your days are done

And my friend
You’ve become
…toast…

Just About Gone

Sittin' in the shadows, waitin' for the dawn.
Looking for a glimpse of hope to help you carry on.
Unspoken words, unanswered calls.
Empty souls in empty rooms bouncing off the walls.

Winters chill has made you ill, just sittin' there just sittin' still.
Spring fever's the only cure in a drop of rain that falls so pure.
Solemn silence, lonely peace.
The destiny of a sacred heart that don't know how to cease.

The day after tomorrow is calling out your name.
But yesterday just wont let you get back in the game.
The ennui swells in your eye and causes you to yawn.
As the writing on the wall says your just about gone.

Muted sentiment within a hallowed grave.
Never to be heard by those that it could save.
Omni present knowledge that's never to be shared.
Leaves the solemn soul to wonder if anybody cared.

Truth--- Beholds All Is Not Just About Poetry

This is Not All just about Poetry
So shall our Hearts Speak
This is about my heart speaking to yours
As you share your heart speaking to mine
Moments by moments..
We each partake

This is Not about poetry
This is hearts intertwining
Sharing Thoughts.. Feelings
Words.. for out of mouth...
Heart ever so speaks
Words of Wisdom..
Love Faith and Hope

Truth always Prevails
hearts together
Witnessing to Souls
Spreading God's Divine Light
In hopes to bring another
To come to Christ
To behold
God's Unconditional Love
Gift of Eternal Life

Whomsoever not know
Time is now...
Come to Jesus
Be Born-again
