Melancholy is a weird word
Sounds like merriment, which is absurd
The word miscellaneous is crazy too
Sounds like a snake that overgrew
Words have meanings on pronunciation
Some never share a celebration
I take some words and kick them up and down
They jiggle and joggle, but rarely frown

There is a wave of New Orleans music
I cannot grasp... it throbs inside me swooning,
crawling quivering as whiffs of tempo gyrate
around nine seventeen pm in a bistro:
the sax, piano, drums railing notes on crest
of wild grace, ever buoyant amid sultry air.
And I listen to a groove vibrate ,
rousing the marrow of my body
with primordial tones livening
classic groans and modern jazz--
that my hips cavort in a dance unbidden,
a fire rippling along bursts of instinctive thrill:
four hours after nine seventeen pm--
near twilight’s cadence lilting
upon my bosom-- I jam joggle jive
floating in crazed matters that no longer matter.

This happens only to Ronny
trying to hang ornaments
on the biggest and tallest
Christmas Tree he bought
to impress neighbors and friends:
everything he does is insanity!
The craziest thing he has ever done
was falling off the ladder on the sleeping cat
that used to rip apart his cowboy hat
with his claws that scared everyone!
Poor, Ronny why did you fall off
the ladder landing on the sleeping cat that catches mice;
isn't your hair full of fluff?
He always thought that you were cheerful and nice:
letting him play with your basketball!
Poor Ronny, throw out that Johnny Walker battle...
it makes your skinny legs joggle:
that's why you walk with a waddle!
Next time use more caution and be smart,
so you won't fall off and land on the sleeping cat...
or miss a few steps and hurt your butt!
Do drunk people feel pain or seem upset?
Today Ronny got drunk and unable to think
and standing on that ladder that wobbles
he falls again on the sleeping cat that flees
and laughing he quickly gets up and says,
" A Happy New Year to those who drink:
the happier the heart is, the sweeter it sings! "

My sorrows make me trace my thought -
The steps I took, the leaps I'll take -
I do what I forgot, and it's not enough,
But while I lay here in PJ's, wide Awake,
My heart enacts a stolen wish -
The things I want and what I need -
I have my powers to unleash,
But as I want, I become Greed...
My future holds a nothing-ball -
The paint on it changes daily -
I can't rainbow it back at all,
But as I dare color Freely,
My hands are dirty and tired -
The phalanges crack, lashes tear -
I feel like a puppet, though I'm not wired,
But balls joggle on, what clearly stays is Fear.
