Premium Member Cuddles

“Cuddles” is what I affectionately call her
This sweet little darling of mine
No other word can describe this beauty
She's a lovey, she's sweet, she's divine

She's here to grant me my every wish
Never asking for anything back
My life, my soul, my reason for living
Peace and contentment I don't lack

Betcha can't guess who this is about
A doggie or a kitten or a bunny
Guess correctly and you'll win the prize
Three kisses from me next Sunday

“Cuddles” is an absolute real charmer
On this soul she doth lovingly dote
Guys lounging round in their Jockey shorts
Know it's “Cuddles” my TV remote!

Premium Member Extreme Optimism

Aside from the glorious colours of autumn

It is my least favourite season of all four

It foretells of another Canadian winter just around the corner

I have seen 79 of them

That's 79 too many!

All my life, I've longed to live where

A sweater was the most I ever needed to wear to feel comfortable

Instead of fur lined jockey shorts and mukluks

Fashioned from seal skin

My life long dream has not materialized yet

Still have 20 or more years to go

What do you think my chances are

To live in a warm climate before I reach the magic number 100?

On a scale of “slim” to “a sure bet”

Would you figure it would be somewhere in between

Or as I predict... “a sure bet”

Now that's what most would call extreme optimism

Really, it's only 21 years from now

I call it a done deal!

Premium Member You Take the High Road

You take the high road and I'll take the high road

You can't get away from me that fast

You can change your name, wear a silly disguise

Even dress up like a hooker

I would recognize those spindly legs anywhere

Oh and those crossed eyes of yours

That I thought at one time were so sweet and charming

One green, one blue... hmmm

And how about that big fat bum of yours

How are you going to hide that

That's gotta be the largest derriere on record

You know why I'm keeping you in my sights don't you

It's about that brand new pair of Jockey shorts

I believe you still have of mine

Remember? You once wore them on your head

Wasn't that a night... ooowweeeeee!

Premium Member Embarrassing Moments

Think I'm starting to lose my grip
Forgetting the simplest details
Things that used to be second nature
My mind is now easily derailed

No longer able to draw on the past
Embarrassing moments occur
Vainly searching my once active mind
My memory is starting to blur

Going to work in my Jockey shorts
Can cause quite a stir on the bus
Most passengers pretend not to notice
Nobody wants to make a fuss

Slurping my soup in the local diner
Where everyone knows who I am
Wearing my best goin'-to-church finery
My tie all covered with jam

Life's little embarrassing moments
Happen at a much faster clip
Hopefully it's just a sign of my age
Not a sign I'm losing my grip
