Premium MemberJoyful Jay

Jay’s jargon is jammed with jerky jammer
jiggery-pokery and jocundity. Jiggling joyous
joviality and jubilance, justifying Jay’s jollity.

granite gargoyles in Greg’s garden
happily high-fived handshake that hardened
Introducing indigenous iris to Illinois
jubilantly jiggling their midwestern joy
kings of the garden we are, said the giant gargoyle
laughing and loving their role, they spit into the soil
most of the fey rolled their eyes at the two
nay said a petunia troll, unsure what he could do
outstandingly confident said a faerie named Lee
platinum pharaohs added a dainty sweet pea
quivering with happiness, the granite gargoyles yelled out a hey!
restoring the rest of the produce, ensuring its safety that day.

Premium Membercollisions

A bluebird came streaking violently out of Central Park,
it blurred over the lanes of traffic towards 220.
I flinched in anticipation of the impact,
but at the last second it darted directly up,
as if caught in a sudden wind current.
“Did you see that?” I asked Lisa.
She didn’t, her phone was jiggling.

My boyfriend left yesterday
He had to leave before New Year’s eve!
he has to work and cannot play
he finally gets to run the hadron collider
go get em’ tiger
but I’ve decided
you can’t fight the zeitgeist
that when the cats away
the girls will have their day.

Someone start the music please,
because it’s NEW YEARS Eve!

Happy New Year’s Eve everyone!

Premium MemberJester the Joker

Jester The Joker juggled bottles
decorated with the reddest flame.
Three jars spun jiggling in the air
jars four and five he held with care.
Letting go of the ones in his hands
he caught the next two on command.
Jester The Joker juggled bottles
decorated with the sky light blue
but, out of one jumped Winnie the Poo.
Then Winnie the Poo tried to juggle
the bottles with the reddest flame,
but, he fell in a pot of honey
and that ended the juggling game.

At The Ramada Inn

teenage boyfriend sits butt close to brown eyes
waitress with bleeding lips serves a silent sirloin
middle aged mother says the meat is too rare
bespectacled father stares at the impaled thing
says the leaking steak isn’t dead enough to eat
bleeding waitress takes jiggling meat to the flames
teenage boyfriend tells brown eyes he loves her
loves the windsong perfume she keeps in her purse
loves kissing her strawberry lips in the beige impala
teenage boyfriend daydreams now of holy matrimony
of living in a two room duplex with two perfect children
of driving the family into town with scapulars hanging
waitress with bleeding lips serves a screaming sirloin
teenage boyfriend sits butt close to brown eyes

Premium MemberScandalous Flower Story

A wafting, giggling,
windy, wiggling,
breezy, jiggling
flower wore red.

With words so humble,
as he did stumble,
a simple bumble
bee then said,

"on my flight here,
may I light here,
you pretty sight, dear,
fair flower in red?"

"I'm all a'glowing,
petals showing,
nectar flowing,
yours in my flower bed."

Premium Membertry to catch the verbs

verbs pranced across my mind
gardening, wiggling, giggling, slipping, sliding
jiggling, and sometimes sledding
jumping, jousting, boasting, ghosting
they were too fast to catch
but I ran after them, trying my best

"Bring it, life, all your adversities...they only strengthen me!" - quote by poet.

oh, adversity...

haven't you exhausted
               all efforts
to knock me off my equilibrium,
to make me
        cry a river?

you came to break me in two
yesterday
            with bells on;
jiggling around your ankles.
instead, all you got in return was
         only....a shrug.

you saw no sign
           of weakness on the surface
                    or deep within me.
you waited for tears
that never came.

you kept on poking
             yet your needle pricks
didn't make me wince
               you stabbed me with daggers
that never punctured my skin
               or made me bleed....

are you disappointed?

surprised that your sharp weapons
               cause me no pain,
but instead, tickle me?
go ahead, keep making me
          stronger.....

Premium Memberfun with words in July

jiggling juggernaut jockeyed judo
katie’s Korean kitties killed with kudos
lively llamas listened, learning Latin
Mischievous miscreants misused satin
Needless nimble noodles kneaded themselves
Opulence and opals were seen in land of elves
Paralyzed parlor poodles paraded past purple pails
Quarrelsome queens quickly collected quick quails

Clay climbed and clobbered Clemson Clue
Doing deliberate diamond disciples daring do,
Enough Elizabethan excitement expressed Ellie Lou
Finishing fancy French frankfurters, freeing Friday’s flu.

Gigantic gyrating griffendorf’s glazing gibbon’s glue
Harboring horrific hellacious hippos’s in hindsight’s hue.
Ignoring illustrious iguana’s illustrating indigo’s favorite blue.
Jiggling jumbled jabborwock’s justified jellies and jams for a few.

Roadkill

He hears again
the far-off jiggling of keys,
the throaty cough of ignition,
recalls strafing lights
on a night-blurred road.

Moths, like pale flowers,
crash against the windscreen.
Over-reaching branches
whip back and forth, warping
a transfixed retina.

A gritty sleet, then,
the bloodied head, the matted fur,
the flaying shanks;
a frozen shock laid bare.

Returning to the garage,
warm metal ticks,
he stares at a dark windscreen,
the dead
spread across his mind
still looking for a way out.

We are the Fluid Wind

Wind touches the earth. Pushing a branch, and jiggling a leaf, sometimes to points of breaking both. Forcing an umbrella to push sideways against it, or a wing to twist to stay steady. Sending a jagged spore into a weightless path, riding an eddy to stop when touching the lee side of jagged bark. Lifting silt, and the occasional sand grain, to a sudden drop into a more stationary, windless pile.

Forcing wind vanes to reveal its direction as a clue to prepare, only to abruptly switch position as a hidden cycle manifests itself. Or, on calmer days, filled with smells from afar, that satisfy or alarm, and push us in a new direction (salivating or holding our breath).

We are in the wind, as fish are in water. It directs us to go, where we feel it tells us, happily or distressed. Its push moves us where we can’t avoid. We can't think without it. Within it, we live. Without it, we can't.

We are the fluid wind.

Premium Membersea otters jump into the sea

sea otters of every width, age and size
Were at the crest of the hill at sunrise
Ready to jump into Indian Sea with umbrellas too
Throwing in coolers and towels after me and you

We sea otters are a playful bunch for sure
Laughing, we know there is no cure
Or way of stopping us once we find
A cliff to jump off of, or a hill to climb

We love hitting the water cold and hard
It is our fondest pastime, we land like lard
jiggling and wiggling in pure sea otter delight
getting everything wet, landing hard and tight
