Jigged Poems

Renewed life rewarded, heartbeat pipes true.
Fable's a quirky whiteness, mingling advent
amidst a dreamt sea of ice, a transient
couple transcends ..., Our pupils traced a dule
of cooing doves, creamy emissaries
that solicit the air, cradled bears in
their cavernous slumber, grasping the thin
contrasts value respect of Wintery's
shared. Rallies we as hosts, incite smiles that
tide a snowy bank to ensure the source
of our delight essences glacial course
pleasures us, our oneness eternal depth
Jigged we a two-stepped-hop, choreographed
to frigid-freed heartbeats lover's behalf.

Premium MemberNobble Wobble

The cry of the turkey's gobble
left me in a cranky nobble
	so I could fall sleep
	no sound should he peep
stupefied, my head did wobble

armed with a hatchet in my hand
hoping a final blow to land
	he ran, zigged and zagged
	he dodged, jigged and jagged
I could not land the chop I planned

when at last my greatest chance came
though red-eyed, I took deadly aim
	my aim was way off
	the turkey did scoff
this Thanksgiving was turning lame

no turkey please, I’ll just abstain
my determination did wane
	sleep overrated
	ego deflated
bird became perpetual bane

Orphan 'Round

A chimp's bereft tambourine in its paws
jigged 'round a bunch of detaining gazes,
donning smiling countenances or jaws
that plunge as the organ grinder phases.

Rhythmic jingling in sync amid the crank
that stirs 'round, eliciting monies freed
from purses and billfolds as the rich thank
the dual busker's intrigued act indeed.

A sincere beast calms down by a soiled boy
fronting the crowd, an orphan of the streets
note 'round the hurried hush and yields his joy
and sadly looked down as woe gauged heartbeats.

Coins and bills spill and a bright lad kneels cause
a chimp's bereft tambourine in its paws.

Premium MemberLed Disco Light

When I set the sound mode up on stage core,
Just a banal torch lit up as I swayed on a dance floor;
I jigged, shook and turned round and round,
A light on focus was remote until it was found.

I knew, I only used a single tone of penlight that glow,
But some ravens dropped by with a baneful blow;
I remained on stage shivering with tears in my eyes,
Groping around with a frozen body, I just thought twice.

I reset the sound mode with led disco ball light,
It revolved to emit various colors by laser bright!
I stood again on stage to dance and explore,
Lemon, crimson and lavender were in large down pour.

I continued performing my dance steps in variations,
Along with flashes of  lilac, tangerine, coral and watermelon;
Overwhelmed by aquamarine, chartreuse and saffron,
Led disco ball light may’ve diverted to others the ravens’ attention.

Headline News:
Cross the Seas Arrival
Killer Hornets Near

Relentless force of steroid nature
Buffed hornets in out-sized wing chanting
Swarm-buzz of aggression
Predators to hapless honey bees
Poison stings like silver arrows.
Venom shrapnel from combat incursion.
New fodder for Hollywood flick diversion.

Part of a new fear landscape
         in pandemic turmoil.
Forest peace destroyers in what
         flies, lurches and stings.
Fear in re-jigged planet living cringe.

Media bursts of unending dread.
More psychic danger than real threat?
Time of apocalypse reckoning?
Nothing here to sooth your nerves undone
Even so, in a biblical plague,
         shield your eyes,
         and run!

3 Acacia Avenue

the big shirt jigged and flapped,
while the clothes line struggled
to gain control; wily birds
stamped their little feet to the
shirt’s sailing- ship, wild-blustered
rhythm; below, the fat garden
cat licked its lips as Mrs Bridges
prepared the evening meal, early.

The big shirt jigged and flapped,
While the clothes line…

Mister Pigo

I so loved Mister Pigo the pig
It was not at all infra dig
                                            A Man and a beast
                                          On a great love feast
joked jigged and rode in a gig

Premium MemberFever, Night Fever

With chips and fries, girl buddy Pam and I
Lounged on a diva for night- time cable,
When Travolta caught our TV- tube eyes
Hips gyrating to Night Fever’s wiggle.

Our feet tapped as we looked at each other
“Let’s hit the town and paint it red”, we said;
In a flash, we dolled up and tossed our hair
Scooting the bar where pop- tunes drowned ahead.

We paced the dance floor wiggling our hands
To the height of beats like ‘ole college days
Then, more late 90s theme songs rocked the band
While starry eyes begged for music ablaze.

The crowd mingled to pass few drinks around
As we jigged along, romping like prom queens,
Till street lights dimmed to imply---‘homeward bound’
No way! It’s Girls’ Friday till morn , supreme!

Demo

Malawians are feeling the pain
Interest rates at banks jigged to 40%.
Cost of living demands a lot to survive
Our salary tranquil
Robbers terrorizing us
Wives spending time at water holes
 Instead of caring families
Subsidy is sand
Instead of fertilizer
Pay in toilets charging exorbitantly
Just for a visit.
These are worthy going on streets

Lies Are Sold and Bought

That fateful, tragic day of 9/11
was a busy one, for Jannah and Heaven.
The day the seed of war was sown
dictatorships the US wanted overthrown
no wonder the worlds overdraft has grown!

The truth though was in disguise
as fox news spread their lies
despicable people, I truly despise
who pull the wool over the Sheople's eyes.

The plane that hit the pentagon
so quickly was that wreckage gone.
now so many lives to destroy
firing missiles like some toy.

So much coincedence, purely circumstance
the armies are all set now to advance
as bush and the Devil jigged a joyous dance.
I loathe to say it so blunt,
but I think Bush is a ....!

For he has turned the world against each other
and caused the death of many a brother.
It makes my blood truly boil
we started a war for cheap bloody oil.

So when the world ends with a small bang
Bush and his corrupt cronies, can go to Jahannam!!

Please don't believe all you're told,
for the truth you know, are the lies your sold!

Premium MemberPosy

I wonder what ether infuses consciousness
Why this delirium after last night’s show?
What’s in a name?

Oh how I’d watched her
Every skillful every reckless change of face
Every dancing change of pace
Her outrageous fling of clothes
                           from Flatbush
                                                    to Paris
Dominating every set of scrambled spangled disarray

She might have jigged the crown at old Bolshoi
No one would be aware
No one would care

Posy
Wild flower
All alone

I wonder at the indelible ghostly mix
In that face
Such delicacy
                    a breeze-filtered smoke
clouding my eyes

Or is it all in a name
Posy?
