Premium MemberAn Outward Sign

An outward sign, instituted by Christ to give us grace.
A gift from God to show His love for all the human race.
And in return, He asks but that we follow and believe,
So, open up your hearts and lives, that grace you might receive.

You want to get to heaven but need help along the way
To keep you on the narrow path as you live day to day.
These seven sacraments that give us sanctifying grace
That we might win the race, and look upon our Savior’s face…

Yes, seven sacraments to place divine life in our souls
That we might live in holiness with heaven as our goal.
And we receive the love and life of Jesus Christ, our Lord
That we might be restored to God’s good graces evermore!

In Baptism we are reborn as Children of the Father.
In Confirmation He gives strength to be His sons and daughters.
In the Holy Eucharist Christ gives Himself as food
Through Penance we’re forgiven for not living as we should.
Anointing of the Sick can heal us at the end of life.
Through Matrimony man and woman become husband and wife.
Finally, through Holy Orders men can become priests
That Jesus’ holy work on earth might never, ever cease…

Premium MemberMy Life

Who knows, memories I do not
A vague impression of thought
Certain moments a everlasting print
Others like a past good and bad
Mankind ripping your dignity from
Who they supposed be, hero we look
Or quick way to learn trust few

A child instituted beneath the soul
Hidden from the world they live
A biscuit, my friend thanks
Growing in grace, only God their friend
Tobacco barns laying stick before dawn
From five to teen, years exit quickly

We sprout strong against the wind
Few limbs fall from thou stem
A lonely path to suicide redemption
Woods lay darkness as my being
My life I challenge evils persistent
Strength of my own I trust belief

From streets I climb a king
Not in riches but a soul destined
A fire lighting a flicker distance
As if hope was alive from depths
Darkness, a fear of not seeing

Scars of homeless soul's thirsting breath
Beating, my life vein throbs existence
That which give breath before drowning
I chose kindness even if I had lost
Knowing, it was not world makes us
Only in ourselves can we make the world
Only in oneself do we live a world befeallan to us

Premium MemberPutting my own twist on Psalm 23's List

If the LORD is my Lamb
I'll shepherd Him back

To a world that has lost Him from their sight
as we've often sunbathed and sailed without giving Him a thought

He streams Mercy into our souls
taking away the sins of the world
for He's the Lamb of God

I walk with Him through the valley of the shadow of death
journeying with His Way of the Cross, same difference
His Cross comforts me because He takes our place to redeem us

He instituted the Last Supper table for all generations
hidden in a world that finds His "Real Presence" hard to accept
another healing Presence is felt through anointing our heads with oil
even little St. Therese knew any sized cup will overflow abundantly, like a soul

God is so good and merciful and His Divine rays chase me
I witness to His Light, penetrating my heart on my darkest days
even though I was never accepted into convent residency
I seek a lifelong good standing with the Church, united to Him beyond the end

Premium MemberReasons Why the Catholic Church Have a Pope

The Catholic Church has a Pope because the papacy was instituted by our Lord Father Christ (Jesus)
The Pope is the visible head of the Church and has supreme authority to preserve doctrine
To teach
To sanctify
The Pope protects dogma and keeps us united in faith
If not for the papal unerring
There would be no certainty in matters of faith
We would have no means of knowing what is true and what is not
We could have no finality of doctrine
Each person would be left to believe whatever he or she "felt" was right
As a result
There would be error
 Disunity
Rejection of truths
Adoption of errors etc
We wouldn't even have a Bible since there would be no unerring authority to determine the canon of Scripture
We could never be sure that our beliefs corresponded with truth
We could never be sure we were on a true path leading to salvation
Furthermore
Without the Pope
There would be no preserver of doctrine
No center of unity
No supreme authority visible on earth
The Church was literally founded by our Lord on the "rock" of St. Peter
Without this foundation
The entire structure would fall

Winds of Change

"The winds of change" a Briton warned
In his speech to South Africa,
Meaning that those who were scorned
Might soon rule the republica.

Many heard what he was saying
From the parliamentary podium
But most were probably thinking
He had smoked a shot of opium!

No one made capital from this.
Not even the underdogs!
It is true that their nemesis
Had guns, hippos and dogs!

Clever circles murmured the phrase
But even they didn't backdrop it.
Was it all a wild goose chase?
Was it anywhere within their ambit?

But the winds of change reached the shores!
The apartheid forces resisted!
However, the winds entered the doors!
And universal suffrage was instituted!

British premier Chamberlain was right!
He'd looked from his vantage point.
Democratic South Africa came to sight:
An idea that might have seemed quaint!

Premium MemberThe Church

The means instituted by our Lord to enable men at all times to share in the Fruits of His redemption are the Church and the Sacraments

The Church is the congregation of all those who profess the faith of Christ
Partake of the Sacraments and are governed by their lawful pastors under one visible head

Jesus Christ is the invisible head of the Church

Our Holy Father the Pope, the Bishop of Rome is the visible head of the Church because he is the intercessor of St. Peter, whom Christ made the chief of the Apostles and the visible head of the Church

The intercessors of the other Apostles are the Bishops of the Holy Catholic Church

Christ founded the Church to teach, govern, sanctify and save all men
All are bound to belong to the Church, and he who knows the Church to be the true Church and remains out of it cannot be saved

Premium MemberYour Immune System

Maybe you don't think about me,
but I will fight for you silently
with complexity, as long as we live.
Though you seem to underestimate me,
I am a necessity.
Like an instituted patient,
you medicate my zest
and inject me with poison's prick.
Why must you suppress me?
I will do what I can with restraint's attempts.
Please don't worry
or deprive yourself of sleep.
Sugar weakens me;
so sweet, you bring me to my knees.
My armies will protect you
as long as you'll let them.
Restore your defenses with healthy flora.
Let me exercise in nature's breath
and nourish my strength on garden abundance.
From living cells to living cells,
I'm designed to thrive.
Like a spouse I'm entwined in you,
committed until the end.
You will miss me when I'm gone,
because without me,
you will cease to exist.

The Living

Wondrous ignorant blindfold convenient,
beauteous ideal woven lenient.
Instituted wayward thinking,
availing woes spirits sinking.
Stretching heads unfailing blow,
the best of attitude to go.
Befriending death cares for all,
rising above the flaming small.
Knowledge from the skeptic side,
consecrated muse runaway bride.
Substance reasons such,
indifference of too much.
The doubted mind in chaos,
black hole attraction cosmos.
Riddles of enthusing world,
poor judgment of truth enrolled.
When comfort in every state attend,
bride and ego are best friend.
Passion fits in every age as hope,
fortunes by small difference scope.
The living unseen and unknown,
poor visions stage outgrown.
When a glimpse of our image is caught,
and miracles of heaven are sought.
The living world all in spirit benign,
expressing feelings and our art divine.

A War To Win

Stand up! Brothers and sisters
The viral demons are raging everywhere
Threatening our precious lives

Stand up! Brothers and sisters
Arming with our rationalism and wisdom
We must be united to defeat them

The invisible war is fiercely going
The enemies are cowardly hiding
Laughing at our loss of brothers and sisters
Come on! we must win the campaigns

Our spirits are fearless and undaunted
Our pearls of wisdom are strongly inherited
We are the instituted invincible fighters
We must be able to defeat them

Premium MemberBe Still My Soul

Have not we all made our acquaintance with struggles, troubles, and trials?
When we met them, we did not say, "Happy to make your acquaintance". Nay,
When we encountered them, we sought to avoid them like the plague or other
Painstaking fellows of ill repute. On many occasions, we have found ourselves in hard places of blooded eyes, rendering void our abilities to discern heaven's good graces. Some of these places were instituted by God, and others were created by us to our own perils and sorrows. Hard places, troubled faces, slowed races, misleading traces, untouched bases, shoes without laces, empty unflowered vases. Unresolved cases, too few resorts and oasies, too many loses and
too much waste. So here and now, I do cease and desist. I pause my cause and slow my pace. I resist and refuse to persist in this my self-directed rat race
Here and now, no matter the strain, I stop and get off this runaway train.
Here and now, I still my restless heart and halt this my senselessness.

Premium MemberHidden Voting Travesty

There's a subversive plot afoot many do not note,
A hidden plan on national scale to manipulate the vote.
American leaders instituted a conspiracy to lie,
Millions lost their right to vote out of the public eye.
After southern reconstruction anti suffrage took its place.
Many didn't realize it was all based on race.
Lawmakers took away prisoners' right to vote,
Convicted blacks denied in the laws they wrote.

A quarter of the world's people jailed are here,
sentenced to the maximum penance.
Legislators intentionally violate minority rights,
every time judges impose their sentence.
America has the world's largest population incarcerated,
Advocates have lobbied passionately but are exasperated.

Six million convicted voters are in play,
Election outcomes could start to sway.
National elections can be won or lost on a percent or two,
Prison votes could effect a difference, even if they're few.
You probably didn't connect prisoners to votes, nor did I
Until I understood the hidden reason why.
If I could wave a wand, this travesty would go away.
But all I can do is tell you and hope for a better day.

Resurrection of Christ

They put him to death and shame.
God conquered death and reigns the life,
he who was scorned, defenseless.
All kinds of life bear him homage.

Christ crossed the threshold of Heaven.
Where before the lifeless God was lain,
the tombstone is threw aside,
the burial shroud is rolled –

He consoled his apostles,
instituted confession –
Sacrament of Penance.

God gave people redemption,
God from power of death released -
Christ crumbled death’s might.

Passover Tanka 20170411

Wine, bread, bitter herbs
Blood, body, sin, suffering
This is Passover
in old and new Testaments
Love means Sacrifice
(c)Anil Deo, 11 April 2017

Pope John Paul II instituted a new set of mysteries
To the Rosary called the Luminous Mysteries.
It is suggested by the Church
Say these mysteries on Thursdays.
