Innuendos Poems

Premium MemberImpasse

they say actions speak louder than innuendos
so true and when you speak in riddles
know that your subtleties are lost on me

i'm left not knowing how to feel

so if my responses seem anything but direct
i admit that it is absolutely so
i'm often in a quandry and have no words to say

I can’t rid of the bags under my eyes
The crowfeet despise, all were lies,
Conjured was an illusion of you
Throughout my groping confusion
evasive, flimsy
A-m-o-r-p-h-i-c, innuendos
I was subjected to your derision
dissing me relentlessly
deriding my appearance,
disparaging my intellect
as I stumbled and fell into the abyss
Mocking doesn’t suit my countenance
My lips desert dry, thirsty, parched
An amazon no longer beats its drum
My buoyant nature now laden with coarsened shroud
Leaving a cardboard moon deprived of its shine
Stars like candles blown out one by one
No use waiting for the rising Sun
The end of world does come,
stopped spinning neath heavy ebon clouds
Expectations unreal
All zeal gone, listless is my spirit
along with my illumination
Now you see me
unmasked in raw anguish

jowls hang from endless
torment endured
like the drenched and cold, wounded hawk
taken flight, eagle-eyed, a warrioress
more determined and bold, traveling on
with unlimited range
and self-esteemed
This bird,

Premium MemberInnuendos Don’t Behave

Who knows not where a wasp does wear his sting? In his tail.
In his tongue.
Whose tongue?
Yours, if you talk of tails: and so farewell.
What, with my tongue in your tail?
   Nay, come again, Good Kate;
   I am a gentleman.
—William Shakespeare, The Taming of the Shrew
    (exchange between Petruchio and Katherine)

Love looks like blue skies, nay.
Today is the tango of sister twisters.

Innuendos don’t behave. They slave
over the mountains and valleys.

Twines of a forked tongue, devilishly
misbehaving, drunken in delight.

Good Kate, is she kind, his kind of date?
Will she satisfy his intellect, his loins?

Is he a gentleman, this Shakespeare?
Is his lady worthy of remarkable taste?

Petruchio, with his yellow jacket,
prepared to sting, with lover’s words.

Katherine’s falling into the Venus fly trap
as she plays along, bidding farewell.

Petruchio draws her back in
wagging his tail and tongue.

These heavy boots filled by Taylor and Burton
acting in real time and on the silver-tongued screen.

If the ballroom could produce such a tango as this,
Shakespeare himself would rise and erupt in applause.

that's what they will tell you

They would love to end the conversation at that point.

but from what or from whom, are the questions needing clarification
i gave it everything i could gather
poems, songs, misplaced humor
my love, my soul, my essence

in recovery

i might have given my life, luckily i found a way out of that
but, im still in a prison of innuendos, and sleight of hands
the trick was on me, the joke was on me too
so, im still here, waiting for my next round of heavy meds
those lovely cloth straps and the extra pillows

Premium MemberFather and Son

A father was quite contrite
For his son loved him so
But as the son grew
Separation gave them a blow
Innuendos and false promises
Hormones a flutter
Unforgivable names
Shared like butter
The father grew old
The son grew up
Gods plan in the making
Wondrous and tough
A grave alone no
Marker or cross
Son comes home
Unbelievable loss
Tear stained face
But nothing to gain
Empty Will for him
Only himself to blame

My Princess

Moonlight across the tranquil ocean,
Will provide jewels for your crown.
Deep cyan colors of the sea in motion,
Will create blue velvet for a royal gown.

I will create a vision tender with grace.
Such expectations I have, you’ll be mine.
Resplendently beautiful, so fair of face.
My Princess of loveliness, a lady so fine.

A prima donna of style as you gayly dance.
Beguiling as you converse so witty and clever.
For me there’ll be sweet innuendos of romance.
You’ll win hearts but I will be your love forever.

Dearest, only a figment of imagination it seems,
And sadly we will be together only in my dreams.

insinuations, veiled intentions
subtleties and undertones
whispers and innuendos
half truths and hidden meanings

Seaside Memories

Remembering holidays by the seaside
Those endless wonderful days.
The seagulls in the distance
Hovering above the waves.

Looking towards the horizon
As the sun begins to rise.
Glimmering on the water
Its beauty fills my eyes.

A walk along the shore
Gives me peace of mind
Away from the hustle of city life
The sound of the sea helps me unwind.

Ice cream cones and candy floss
A walk along the pier
Sticks of rock,saucy postcards
Innuendos fill the air.

Punch and Judy,donkey rides
Building castles in the sand.
Old and young together as one
Fun and laughter with Mum and Nan.

I love the sounds of the sea
As it caresses the golden sands.
I have so many happy memories
In vision and in sound.

Why….sarcastic ,snide remarks
To dictate and criticise
Pointing that “crooked finger of judgement”
Expecting all others to view through your eyes!

You voice, “that should not be”
Though when it comes your way
You bask in all the glory
Of the niceties others say

Somewhat hypocritical
Though I think it’s quite clear
When it is not directed at you
Your insecurities appear

Each one of us are different
We each give and receive what we desire
As long as dealt with respectfully
That’s all that is actually required

Your sarcastic innuendos are not masked
By your clever, deliberate words
Your real intentions are obvious
So condescendingly inferred

Since when did encouraging others
Become a negative
Kindness and positivity
Words best left unsaid?

So obsessed about others
In what they say and do
Perhaps it’s time to focus inward
Make some positive changes within you?

Get down from your high horse
You are the only player in this “word war”
Simply, “just be nicer”
There are no points here to be scored!

Plague Dreams

I want to leave this place
this place of plague dream nights
wrapped in barbed wire
of vacant faces and hot stares
hell white corrupted desires
all lost on a pebble adrift at sea
a fragment of river
a race from gravitations greed
so too is this place
of lost visions and deprecate
pleas nights of false passion
and fevers gilded in iron barbed wire
I want to leave this place
of broken dreams empty heads hot facades
and cold innuendos
hell white in corrupted desires
all adrift in a sea of tyranny.

Premium MemberThe Mask

The world has screamed through masks
Of silent anxieties, hiding beneath
Liquid sterility and haunting innuendos

The world has prayed for a new dawn
To take the place of this fear
Locked up inside a heart who pounds
Darkness, dread and daunting
Deaths

The world has longed for a second chance
To color life in hues of hope
Yet it is blinded by tragedy and worry
Endless feelings of loss and loneliness
Left behind from the sorrows

The world has gone from bad to worse
In the hands of a distant horror
Found on the threads of shady thoughts
Which have left us all with a hopeless
Reluctance to go back to the place
Normal embraced

The world is ruled by fear today
And God is a God of love – He is love
So fight the blackness of dismay
And listen to the kindness and hope
Found in the One we all pray to
He will heal our hearts and our thoughts!

My God Has It At This Time

MY GOD HAS IT AT THIS TIME

In our confusions
and in these times,
when everything seems to have gone all awry,
and walking distances matter most,
and rumours of uncertainties
are being consumed by innuendos of fear.
And what can I do that matters most,
when isolation has become the key,
but then I know there is an answer strong
and as close as a prayer to the one.
For in he there is hope
there is not despair,
it is he who is in control,
that in our fears
there is a silver lining to every cloud of doubt.
My God is wanting each to focus strong;
and come on back to him,
when everything else is being consumed
of the why ME’s this happening to,
for in every hour of our days.
So, focus on what is at hand,
and count our blessings that are there,
where there is this message that’s loud and strong,
never before in our lives and in this time
have we ever ALL and each
been asked to just Stop!
and inwardly focus of what we really have.
And count our blessings and our cares,
in this time of slowing down,
to refocus in our faith
and remember his message from the word,
that my God has got it at this time.

Get Some Backbone
Written: by Miracle Man

Social Media has made it easy,
for spreading things canard.
Always, these innuendos,
are geared to leave others scarred.
Things implicit in print,
with a degree of boldness.
While silent to ones face,
there’s in the air, a coldness.
So we often scratch our heads,
questioning what’s true?
But sometimes, even fabrications,
aren’t hard to construe.
