Premium MemberDestiny, the final milestone

My sizzling heart failing around the clock
No light colliding with the dark to spark
But essence dying passively through the dim
Dream's wall burning by the fire of terror
In a second, a sharp arrow infiltrates the soul
And silently overflowing blood around its artery.
Nothing emerged than an insane time,
Everything not set as materialised
There are volatile inheritance bloodstreams
Follows to end up with a quiet destination.
What a life ushers for nought...
No, no satiety to purify the lure in life.
Look at the moon shaded by a cloud
A hard rocky cloud
Cosmos horizon...
Never has it appeared over the sky
Even ancient times have yet to happen.
A silent mourning overthrows the time
A path continues to the graveyard
And I found a frosted body lying
cuddled with dreams.
A scamp life left behind the snag...
A presence of fervent destiny, a final milestone!

Premium MemberThe Infatuation of ones soul

Lies deeply in thy self conscious thought
that one's thinking could control the souls
matter allowing one's self to be opened
purely for the purpose of being here thus not
being judged the excitement for another being
to yearn the pleasure of your passion to be
absorbed in a place that can't fit your soul
and mine so crowd thinking crowded beliefs
infiltrates the soul with out touching how
than do we destroy the living environment of
one's self how than do we leave lessons
learned and at the same time be defeated by
the envy to know some one else's soul
herein the way we love the way we live shall
capture a none existing soul of terror a soul
so blatenly covered in desire and pain
all of who we are comes before the knowledge
of Moses if we allow one of us to have the
word and freely so unselfishly speak it

Written by Yolanda Nicholsen May 14 2004 Fort Myers Florida my sons high school graduation day 7 months after my brain injury suffering with traumatic headaches and alienation from affection I couldn't stop writing my brain was fighting to live sparks were flying so I wrote all day.

While you try to become the best version of yourself,
Insecurity infiltrates, an unbeaten foe that embraces confidence,
And you list potential falls before even stepping onto the open road.
Every deed is stitched with the thread of this somber foreboding.
Yet, if you know how each scar quietly whispers to you its own tale,
A story of how much it bled, how much pain there was when it was still a fresh wound.
And which bold paths you have taken toward healing, what battles you had to fight.
It's not easy to step out of the frame of your comfort, from your arches of safety.
But when the stars align, they conspire as if yearning to show you a universe
Where you are meant to shine – accept everything with grace, let chance follow its course.
For if you don't, the print of regrets will be one that will never fade.
To receive the stars and the threads of fate, even when they are entwined,
Even when fears seem swifter than your choices.
Gather all your scars, each a mark placed on the map of your own galaxy.
Leave from yourself a beacon, a lighthouse deep in the unknown to which you inevitably head.

House Fire

you make me wanna scream
you make me wanna run
this bird that flies
and infiltrates my mind

the exquisite nature of the bird is truly special
the way it’s wings flap in the direction of the wind
the way it’s delicate body lands in a puff

but the birds talons are sharp
the prickly haunting nails scrape against the power lines
causing surge and fire we

but amongst this fire there is calm
the one untouched spot in the middle of the field
in that spot there lies a single flower
untouched and wilting
patiently waiting to be engulfed
and so the bird watches
with a lovely grin
wilted flowers are dying
and death is the bird
the bird burns so brightly
only to be reborn

as that bird that flies
and infiltrates my mind

Mend

Read my pages,
Rewrite me, please,
Let it go easy on me.

Read my pages,
Feel the world around,
Lighten its weight on me.

Read my pages,
Still the tempest,
Bring perpetual tranquility.

Read my pages,
Go through my door,
Aid my strivings.

Read my pages,
Push away the darkness
that trails and interfere.

Read my pages,
Don’t leave me part way,
Walk with me to the last line.

Read my pages,
Traverse my world,
Glide with me.

Read my pages,
Shield the tumult,
That drenches my day.

Read my pages,
Disperse the gloom,
That infiltrates sunshine.

Read my pages,
Don’t just archive me,
Be pleased to rewrite.

Just Rain At Dusk

those drudging blues
spat upon by smudging greys
pulsating with suns
sinking tendrils
rains might has bent each leaf head
and from its benevolent praise
nights perfume cloud
slowly infiltrates
rainbow slicked petrol inked puddles
show echoes of stars that were..once

The Aftermath

What I allow,
What I brood over,
What I give freeway,
This tender shoot,
Green and fragile,
Sprouting,
Becomes a huge tree,
Wide girth,
Thick branches,
These spread in
different cardinal directions,
Forming a gigantic canopy,
This infiltrates my sane thoughts,
This encroaches on my tranquil flow,
Dark and murky beneath the surface,
I wrestle with my thoughts,
I battle with my mind,
It’s taking every ounce of strength,
I’m under its weight,
I provided the fertile ground.

Premium MemberThe Subtle Serpent

The subtle serpent’s not a tale,
conceived by one who drank strong ale.
Wise, with wings resplendent in flight,
a perfect ploy in Satan’s fight.

Its charm disarmed the woman Eve,
as Satan’s sinful snare was weaved.
Its pleasant words like poison darts,
pierced and polluted her pure heart.

The subtle serpent still beguiles
with winsome words and well-spun wiles.
He infiltrates his victims’ minds
with thoughts that titillate and blind.

Throw out restraint and have your fill
of whatever would chill and thrill.
After a while the stuff you crave,
possess and make of you a slave.

Live for you and yourself alone,
put number one upon the throne.
Then when years of life have flown
you end up in a zombie zone.

Burn your candle at both ends,
run wild, chase after all the trends.
Make it your goal to earn and spend,
and upon your wealth to depend.

The wily foe is still disguised,
his stratagem he’s not revised.
He always works behind the scenes
employing surreptitious means.

Beware of the subtle serpent friend,
his way leads to a deadly end.
He wants to rob you of God’s gift
and between you two create a rift.

Collapse of All We Know

Wild fires signify the world is burning

Pollution ravaging the seas show the tides not turning,

Pesticides pollute the air and earth and what makes it worse

Is it infiltrates our food supply and puts us all risk,

Yet still the multi nationals want to make it harder still to exist,

By fracking fuel that poisons the water tables and cause quakes

And those who cannot see this are not ing awake,

The planet is overheating as the ice caps melt

And sooner rather than later these effects will be felt,

And meanwhile man keeps driving animals into extinction

If some told about this years ago you would think it science fiction,

And if that’s not enough capitalist, right wing Fascistic governments

Are driving people into food banks causing more homeless people on the street,

So with the collapse of society, the environment and earth

We must start questioning will we get what we deserve,

A planet that we can’t live no longer on because of our destructive ways

The ferryman is coming soon and mankind is going to pay.

Red Sails

Red Sails

Mathilda and Frankenstein, Shelley’s creation
Both penned during times of inhibition
Monster and maiden are at the fore
The maiden had secrets to deplore

Now she sits upon the silvery sand while crimson tinges evening cloud
With thoughts of paternal loss that infiltrates a grieving mind
A father’s love that went beyond to force his tortured soul to flee
Jamaican paradise, red sailed sunset that spans the azure sea
Where orange groves soak fading solar rays in memory of the slave
Who sailed the Atlantic boats, to work the fertile land and early grave
Sharp citrus scent that sits upon the passing breeze of long ago
To tell the tale of hard long days they sang away their woe
Mathilda strokes her fragrant orange sphere that’s perfect like their love
Peering into the seas briny depths where lies the glisten from above
An orphan whose solace remains within the dying embers of this day
Red sails upon the sky line that billow along the freedom way

I Chose To Drink My Wine

The most the wine infiltrates,
many questions strike the eyes !
it may be craziness,
but it may be
conscience... !
Insanity or
wisdom...
I chose my option!

Premium MemberA Passage To Nowhere

A life without end in sight! Fed up, I hibernate.
A sleep like the dead, until I wake,
I yawn, nod, doze and wake again.
Yet I feel lethargic and tired.

Why wake into full aesthetic consciousness?
Why should I not grab forty more winks?
I wish my vitality infiltrates my essential existence,
but the going is truly tough.

It's like crossing the black Styx
wading across a bottomless ford,
as if I have been condemned to Hades.
I tremble into awareness, search for reconciliation
sacrifice a peace offering to my merciful Lord.

Can I find redemption? Should I plead insanity,
mental disorder or lunatic madness?
Maybe 'tis what I should have done,
instead I wake, work hard, test my tired arteries,
hear the creak of arthritic bones,
do gratifying things, like every workman should:
until I sleep the repose of the just.

The Door

Creepily walking
The feeling of the soft carpet
Moving swiftly and silently
The door continues to knock

The sweet smell of nectar infiltrates my nose
I wonder what's behind the door
I grab and turn the knob to the right
I cautiously open the door

A gust of wind blows
Pushing my hair out of my face
I stare as my face grows blank
Death is at my door

Premium MemberAllow Us To Enter Your Universe

We are mercenary rebels of emotion
From another place across the wide blue ocean,
With noble ideas concepts and one man’s notion
Come and join our paladin band of devotion.

Force with intellect many incentives to earn
Use of one’s youthfulness with countless plans to burn,
Believe in us an alien thought control to learn
Together as one our enduring strength will turn.

When morning mist is apparent there hides the dog
In disguise blending with your democratic fog,
Brainstorming army infiltrates commerce to flog
A change of pennant an evolution to log.

A choice to navigate with the will of the crowd
Alone to wander aimlessly as a rogue cloud.
