Alpha Lines for the Spirit

Abiding breath convicts disciples, encouraging faith.
God’s Holy Spirit indwells all believers
revealing sin, righteousness and judgment.
"Vengeance is Mine," note what our Lord saith.
 
Grace, humility, integrity joy, kindness, love
expose the true nature within a trusting person’s
heart and mind who wants to please his Savior.
Jesus promised to return as King from heaven above.

Man’s natural obedience prods quickening resident Spirit
to comfort, forgive, guide, and dislose heaven’s secrets.
This should compel a Christian to share God’s truth
in sincerity, though some rebels refuse to hear it. 

Truth unveils vitality with x-rays yielding zeal.
The Great Physician can read man's very soul
as does our all-knowing, all-powerful Father.
God recognizes which of His followers are real.

Zen Mode

there’s nothing mundane
about the flow of life
behold how God
renews His caress
moment to moment 
with infinite patience
and boundless compassion
waiting for us to recognise
that He indwells within
the cave of our heart

feel His breath
feel His magnetism 
pulsating breath by breath

Flitting about from desire to desire
Horizons shift and we feel incomplete
Joy in permanence is what we aspire
So we lay down our ego, at God’s feet

Nodes within stir, when head and heart concur 
Our emptiness invokes bliss magnetism 
Boundaries between form and space then blur 
Currents sublime ignite mind-body prism

God indwells this feeble form we adorn
Seeing clearly, boundless is our delight
Identity shorn, we’re here now reborn
We behold our true Self as living light

Oh weary hermit, know God alone is ~
We’re as He; existence, consciousness, bliss

Comforter Indwells

Comforter indwells within us
He's the Holy Spirit
Convicting us of sins and thus
Of each dark demerit

When we disobey God
With untruth we are shod
Need to confess we're flawed

Hark the warning bells
Comforter indwells

Do not quench His soft voice
Be not misled by deceivers
There is always a choice

Forsake dark desires' clutch
Give heed to God's soft touch

Darkness Through the Glass

Is there something unwanted
or even decried
that lives in the bottom
of all you’ve despised
to weep when you’re happy
the prefect of tears
confusing the moment
defying the years
its magic conscripting
new days into night
 trapping what’s in you
embracing the fright
one saving question
 the clock striking twelve
destiny tolling
—your answer indwells

Walking the Path

Taught to believe God dwells somewhere above,
we distanced ourself from source
No longer with love, were we hand in glove,
pursuing desires using force,
till in our heart, felt deep remorse

Trapped in the open, we were yet free within,
during moments of silence
Our conscience beckoned, so we went therein;
embracing soul’s innocence,
rekindling inner sentience

Not rituals then but silence the way,
receptive to the bliss current,
wherein seeking nothing, we choose to pray,
becoming self-luminescent,
our innate native element 

Once head melds with heart, as it’s boot camp,
we instantly become free
God, who indwells within, lights the love lamp,
so with light of truth we agree,
each breath entrée, in joyous spree

God Can

GOD CAN

God can help the one with blinded eyes to see;
God can help the one who’s bound by sin be free.
God can help the one who feels alone and sad;
God can fill his life and help him to be glad.
Some day He will come and He will right all wrong,
Make the deaf to hear and give the dumb a song,
Give the crippled one the legs all well and strong--
Who does the things God can?

God can save the worst of sinners from his sin;
God can change his life when He indwells within.
God can bring a peace that none can understand;
God can meet all needs of every mortal man.
God can take the time to hear the smallest prayer;
God can sympathize and show He really cares.
There is not a greater friend who’s anywhere
Who does the things God can.

The Garden of Even

the Garden of Even

there once was a Village
that had a Garden
where nothing but Love ever grew
the Fruits were Divine
what was mine was thine
this was what everyone knew

and then came a thought
which some sadly bought
that i was different from you
and to all of dismay
came forth the day
when this paradigm then became true

the children were confused
and some were used
to further the separation of self
and some gathered night
and held on quite tight
for they thought that things were wealth

and as time went on
the old life was gone
where they all lived simply as one
and wouldn’t you know
even their personal glow
was fading and almost done

but much to their mirth
the Mother called Earth
gave an awakening call
it was not for the few
but all that She knew
she called before the fall

now some did transcend
before the end
of this fictional story i tell
but within every myth
there is a sweet gift
that each may come and dispel

so please come on back home
to the garden you’re from
where all is balanced and square
the Garden of Even
where there is no needin’
for love indwells everywhere

Real Faith In the Real Jesus

Believing in God through His son Jesus Christ
believing the holy scriptures as God's sacred book
Knowing that God's holy spirit indwells my soul
working to make me holy so sin be forsook

This Jesus lived on earth showing His love
taking my sin upon the cross died in my place
rising again in resurrection life for the coming day
when I will be resurrected to see Jesus face

I have real faith in the real Jesus
this I have while living here below
following my saviour to trust and obey
being His own taught to spiritually grow

In prayer speaking to my Lord and God
making my plea's and listen to His voice
being quiet and submissive to His call
remembering I am His sovereign choice

Looking forward to my heavenly day
when life's struggles will be far away
then, Jesus, I'll see redemption fulfilled
what glorious thought eternally be stilled

Be Empty To Be Filled

When the Lord looks to fill us
we need to empty ourselves of self
for God clearly, needs empty vessels
not ones who just sit on the shelf

Our one big mistake to worship self
to fill ourselves with little old me
give no room to what God wants to do
have faith in God so yo set you free

Be true to your God and saviour
to clean yourself out from within
so the Lord can use clean vessels
seek God to remove all our sin

Humble ourselves before His grace
so HIs holy spirit indwells to fill
leave nothing untouched and left
may Jesus be pleased to enter still

The Life Changing Blood

Living through life with God to lead
looking for his counsel as you daily plead
to know his presence along life's pathway
this is life glorious from the fruit filled seed

But God sent his son Jesus my Lord
who shed his blood truly on Calvary's tree
there he died for sinners just like me
now I'm saved for eternity totally free

I am now changed from my past
the holy spirit indwells me to sanctify
removing my dirt cleansed in his blood
Jesus my saviour I will magnify

God gives his power for my change
indwelling me in righteousness divine
so with Christ within to show the world
this life changing blood is God's true sign

In summary, Christ's change is eternal
because his blood brings salvation
God's perfect gift to lost mankind
this is for my great justification

In Christ - a New Creation

Man is born in sinfulness and iniquity
then continues to follow the sinful way
there seems no way of bringing change
sin set's it's clutches on whoever it may 

But God sent His son Jesus Christ
to earth coming for man's rescue
by being their substitute for sin
indwells them by His spirit made anew

With Christ indwelling the human frame
changing that sinful heart be spiritually born
the saviours presence dwells with peace
makes one awake for each morn

This work of regeneration anew
makes one a complete new creation
Christ indwelling changing character
making one like brand new nation

(' Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.')

Freed To Be Truly Free

Living around in this old world
so many trappings to keep us down
catches us by the throat so tight
representing what makes a big frown

Freedom for me is being alive
being contented with my lot
have thankful heart for the past
my life here as true born Scot

This life has been blessed to me
in so many ways to fully enjoy
despite the battles and the downs
rising up makes mind to fully employ

Being retired brings extra dimension
making this one free so totally full
each new day promises alternatives
from the daily normalities so ever cool

Spiritual life brings views eternal
God in Christ becomes so real
indwells one by His holy spirit
bringing peace marks His seal
