For years I’ve passed a sculpture
When I walk at break of day.
It’s very unobtrusive,
Likely meant to be that way.
It’s just one word carved out of wood
And tethered to a sign
Reminding people not to park
Or they’ll incur a fine.
The word is “indivisible”
And in the USA,
It’s front and center in the pledge
That schoolkids learn to say.
We’re meant to think our country
Is united and, with pride,
We pledge allegiance to the nation
Where we all reside.
But lately, we’re divided
Like an apple cut in two,
Each half belonging to a crowd
That’s cloaked in red or blue.
This week I found the sculpture gone
And I was not surprised;
Perhaps the artist figured out
His hope’s been compromised.

An angel
that is Heaven sent,
I love you
more than life,
and each day, I thank God for
sending you to me.
I adore
the sound of your laugh,
your sweet smile,
your soft touch,
and the way that you kiss me
with passionate lips.
We've become
indivisible,
forever
linked as one;
our hearts and souls conjoined we're
inseparable.
Without you
life has no meaning,
you're my light;
but for you,
darkness would engulf my soul
for eternity.

I met a saint in the backwoods.
her voice shimmered
like autumn leaves worn of wondering,
restrained by slender threads of care.
The years had fed her quiet assurance
and nourished her tenuous grasp on life;
she had never seen the shore
or savored its promise
and still she feared not death,
those eyes that scarcely coveted my youth,
flaunted as it were before her.
I was stricken by her faith and frailty
dumb, as the sheep lead to the slaughter
cannot know its purpose.
I suspect that he who wields the axe
cares not to explain the severed head.

All traits of those who rule
But we can see,and they don't fool
Freedom,love,sharing,
Family,fun,caring,
All traits of the seemingly meek
But you who rule, don't mistake US for weak.
Death,War,destruction
Theft,Lies, and corruption,
Traits of those who hold power,
The traits of those in there last hour.
Justice,hope,equality
Good health,peace and prosperity
All traits that we must suss
Indivisible with Justice for US

Along with living and lifeless alike
Are born the shadows endless,
And at feet do they slowly dissolve
When sun sets and moon wanes.
Birth and death are but strings
Bound between myths
Of delusions and realities
That have outlived time-tides.
Clouds and Souls have fate similar;
Incarnate in nature intentionally
And struggles on to bring about
‘Origin is the End, End is the Origin’.
Ageless is time, so are souls;
The indivisible mates of the Bang Big!

That which is eternal and unchangeable
Which was, which is and which remains
That which when defined gets desecrated
Is the Truth, the absolute, and indivisible.
Nonetheless the truth being unconditional
The ancient savants have over period of time
Strangely interpreted it in innumerable ways
And justified their version of truth as perfect.
The ordinary mortal who holds it as sacred
Gets misguided, utterly confused and lost
With great masters thrusting their versions
Have let loose chaos and sheer helplessness.
The scholars belonging to different faiths
Have inferred as per their inadequate grasp
No blemish need to be attributed to them
For no logic, however convincing, stands.
But all the illustrious visionaries preceding
Have inexplicably tried to divide the Truth
And ordained mankind to follow their suit
That led to propagation of numerous faiths.
The Infinite truth defies all interpretation
It is beyond any deliberation intellectual
But can be realized through silent musings
As and when, the spirit shuns the mundane.

There is one God
We have divided up
The Indivisible
One family
Of brothers and sisters
We have divided up
The Indivisible
One world
We have divided up
The Indivisible
One heart
One soul
One spirit
We have divided up
The Indivisible
And we can't put
Him back together again

Indivisible
by Rick Rucker
I have ceased to be just "ME,"
I have morphed into "part of We!"
While each of us is whole, that's true,
I'm so much more, when I'm with You!
I can't be more than one-hundred percent,
The Laws of Math, Love has bent!
If you're one hundred, and me too,
Two should do it, ain't that true?
No matter how I run the sums,
One million is the number that comes
Out of the machine,
Something wholly unforseen!
If you left me, I couldn't say,
Don't make me do that math, I pray!
