Premium MemberLove Sonnet for My Partner

I look upon my partner's shiny hair,
brushed with loving care, always short and chic.
I think how there's no one who can compare.
We understand - no need for us to speak.

She's loyal. I trust her implicitly.
In troubled times, we have each other's back.
She never told me this explicitly,
but she loves me. We don't need to keep track.

She lives in the moment, don't overthink.
Though she doesn't much care to clean or cook,
she appreciates dinner and a drink.
I fell in love with her in just one look.

You could say that my partner don't suck eggs.
On the other hand (paw?), she has four legs.

Premium MemberThe School of Life

In what galaxy does a heart
not learn lessons the hard way?
It’s in the nature of all creatures.

The school of life welcomes its students.
Some will breeze on by and
not learn much of anything.

The ones that embark implicitly
on that lush wild river of discovery
will be amazed when they unleash their potential.

Everyone is given the same amount of hours,
precious time to squander or exploit;
checks and balances accrued in bank book.

Here on earth promises are delivered,
bruises fade and broken bones are mended,
fear eclipsed and IOU's paid and erased.

Everyone carries about their baggage:
the outcome of their experience,
the detailed records in their head.

We each have our predestined portfolio,
an agenda or checklist of things to learn,
be they tender or wickedly cold and harsh.

It would be ridiculous to expect that life is fair:
it’s a lottery we are allotted numbers,
some are lucky while others feel their curse.

Unreachable Role

By George P. Lumayag

The cast tried to act his dramatic role in the teaching-learning arc;
He portrayed a character he knew very much
with a very adjusted tone of his artistic acts.
He loved it so he danced overnight,
and he mastered it in daylight.

He believed he was a prolific actor therefore he portrayed his best.
His character was exposed in the theater as a rising rainbow,
It seemed such a character was struck with a bow and arrow.
His heart was bleeding on a climax as set
So, that was the reddest light wave of a falling rainbow.

The director explicitly expressed the rules of artistry,
So, the actor implicitly cried that his role as the cast was disqualified
from that teaching and learning art contest!

call me Joe

Call me Joe

I do not take pleasure in seeing the Joe Bidden
in the throes of senility, those who pushed him
into running, knew he was not sharp
he was always the company man
did their work
From what I know about this man
"Call Me Joe" was about a nasty man who
suffered low grades at school, but he had
the cunning of fools voting for those
who could make his life better
Tus he rise in power as a man to
be rusted
and we know what that entails
AI did trust him implicitly, owned them
many favors I blame Obama, who
who joined the have classes as soon as he could
with swimming pools and dubious sex
he also bears a unified hatred of the white
a shade lighter, damn it.
The elite of the USA are pushing America
into a war where working people will die
fighting perceived freedom while they
luxuriate in the Bahamas
We have a man, a Vulgarian, and as
Chas Freeman said about hi, the clock is
right, this might be his moment of truth
As for Joe Biden, only Israel might mourn
his passing

Went for a Walk

I went for a walk today
But really walking's how I pray
I prayed to God up above
For him to show me how to love
I think I may have done it wrong
Not just this time but all along

You see....,

"Love is precocious and innocent
Not self-righteous and dissonant
Love is acceptance and compromise
Not a tool with which to ostracize
Love is boundless and abundant
Not binding and reductant
Love is careful and yet fearless
Never easy and never tearless
Love is blindly unassuming
Never wilted,endless blooming
Love is allowing and imprecise
Love is selflessness and sacrifice
Love is reckless and it's stupid
Not flowers and candy or even cupid
What makes love love is it's simplicity
We were made to know how to love implicitly
Love is messy and less than perfect
But let me tell you love is worth it
Give me back this sacred gift, this innate ability
Either let me love or please set me free"

So despite the anguish and trials I might face
This is what I pray for as I walk in your grace....

"If by love I am defeated each and every day
Please Lord let me wake each next one choosing love still anyway."

Premium MemberRambunctious And Wild

Nothing is more precious than a child's love;
innocent, they implicitly trust you.
And they're as pure as the Angels above:
every expectant mother's wish come true.

Nothing feels as honest as a child's hug,
as they tenderly squeeze your heart and soul.
Children get along with a simple shrug;
finding ways to laugh, play games, and cajole.

Humanity's hopes live on through a child;
for they're the inheritors of our dreams.
And though they can be rambunctious and wild,
it's hard to resist their smile, so it seems.

Nothing can match the love that a child brings;
an innate love that tugs on your heartstrings.

The Long wait

And he waited , she had promised to call when she returned home , he had no doubt that she would have,
And so he waited minutes became hours ours became a day ,
She said she would, he began to wonder , that night spent was blissful so he thought , she said she would never forget it ,
So he waited ,as the minutes became hours , nothing ,
He couldn't understand ,he implicitly said he wasn't the one night kind of guy , she agreed , this meant something to her , question what!? What exactly did it mean !? A release ,a beginning of something !!?
And so he waited as the minutes became hours turning into days...
Sigh !!

The Cardinal and the Rose

Within the vast cathedral’s lofty walls
A cardinal delivered his address
From proud zucchetto perched upon his head
To buckled shoes, a picture of finesse.

His scarlet cassock swayed with regal pride
And eyes admired the purity of lace
Exquisitely displayed beneath a cape
Whose crimson tone bestowed a warm embrace.

The message, mouthed with clarity and force
Conflicted with a hollowness of heart
His faith, now but a withering mirage
His homilies, a time-perfected art.

Outside, the stain-glassed windows came alive
Resplendent as the sun began to shine
It kissed the petals of a blushing rose
Engendering a fragrance quite divine.

A simple rose, yet clothed exquisitely
In softest silk and crimson-petalled bloom
Implicitly a witness to God's love
Through silent language graced with sweet perfume.

(slight change to the final verse)

Premium MemberSinister

It takes your money and robs you of time,
Chimes for attention, and rings with crime.

Your give it the power to mold and control
Unending hours, absorbed by its hold.

An instant response is expected, demanded.
Heeded is good but delayed? Reprimanded!

All in-person prowess becomes diminished.
Face to face talking so rarely gets finished.

A bully’s bat and a hacker’s treasure
Anonymity’s cover and popularity's measure.

The catfish pool where deceivers swim
And ransoms demanded at every whim.

Larceny’s tool for the unsuspecting,
Innocent calls for fund redirecting.

Our sense of purity known implicitly,
Is replaced with images shown explicitly.

It was made for our good, but buyer beware
There are dangers galore lurking there.

Be not deceived, what you hold is quite sinister
That cell phone of yours is a devious minister.

Tongues of Fire

Peoples hearts and tongues implicitly they are wild
Men and women's hearts pump venom yet faces mild
My tears are turning black I am out of normal tears
Blood pots from me black blood flows from my ears
Peoples language is down, down with everyone, down!
Jealousy a snake wrapping the heart it wraps the tow

Premium MemberThat's When I Know

when you dare open up and bare your heart
in all honesty and without guile
to reach out and make a true connection
that’s when I know soulmates can exist

when you trust in me implicitly
your past reveal its open book
walk me through its pages one by one
that’s when I know soulmates might exist

when you invite me to sail
the turbulence of your seven seas
and guide me to serenely roam your heart
that’s when I know soulmates possibly exist

when gently you take my hand
to meander through rose gardens
in the light of a gilded magic moon
that’s when I know soulmates probably exist

when silences are as comfortable
as summer picnics in a meadow
and whispers say more than books could ever
that’s when I know soulmates really do exist

drawn the line ever so fine
somewhere between love and hate

optimism wary in the forefront
of caution flirting its blurred edges

the verdict by a thread
loosely hangs in oscillation

dormant danger staggering
lingers behind flimsy curtains

loving you exposes me
leaving me vulnerable

precarious on the balancing beam
over a trench of shifting sands

dodging odds gambled in a pinch
fearing clouded ulterior motives

i want to trust in you implicitly
risking being taken for the fool

though feelings can turn on a dime
should you unhinge my world

on the edge of love and hate

Premium MemberI Can Keep a Confidence

Children cheer for me
Trust me implicitly,
Ask me not to “tell the grownups”

Their secrets are safe with me
Unless they tell me they are being hurt.
As a mandated reporter, I have to let them know I am going to help them.
Sometimes that means sharing their “secrets”.

I can keep a confidence.
People know this about me, thus
I know more about them than most people.

I do whatever I can to make the world run better.
I feel it is up to all of us to be proactive in this area.
I am always me; people understand this and treat me with kindness.

And I trust in Him implicitly

Premium MemberDisappearing Horizon

oft in the still of the night
for a reason to us unknown
we stir awaking slowly
feeling bliss currents grown

the power that so enables
nurturing our innermost need
we trust blindly & implicitly
devoid of attainment greed

the shift within ourself we see
is us as presence centreless
head resident in heart spacial
merging form & formlessness
