I Can Keep a Confidence
Children cheer for me
Trust me implicitly,
Ask me not to “tell the grownups”
Their secrets are safe with me
Unless they tell me they are being hurt.
As a mandated reporter, I have to let them know I am going to help them.
Sometimes that means sharing their “secrets”.
I can keep a confidence.
People know this about me, thus
I know more about them than most people.
I do whatever I can to make the world run better.
I feel it is up to all of us to be proactive in this area.
I am always me; people understand this and treat me with kindness.
