The grief I hold apart

Drops of rain smudge the window blurring my vision,
Pouring down as my spirit drowns in omission,
The obscure moon feeding wispy light into the void's delight,
Bowing to the impalpable depths of night,
Pieces of memory struck by puissance waves undefined,
Calling your quintessence form in my mind,

Her dulcet voice masked with the susurrus pouring rain,
A seraphic purity to the melody my soul craves within the pain,
Her aureate eyes ignite a flame in the dark corners of my heart,
An eternal luminescent spirit to the grief I hold apart,
Her pellucid heart showing what could have last,

Fragments of reality shattered her frame,
Now a whisper to the wind coming from hell,
Drops of rain fall from the sky,
Washing away pieces I never got to deny,

Premium MemberUnbridgeable Chasm

As I look over the
unbridgeable chasm
from the cliff to the sea,
churning on the rocks below,
I realize that why
I cannot bridge the gap
is not because of what I am,
but, because of what I'm not.

I'm immutable
I'm immovable
I'm imputable
I'm imbalanced
I'm imbittered
I'm immature
I'm immobile
I'm immaterial
I'm immense
I'm impassible
I'm impartible
I'm impalpable
I'm impenetrable
I'm so 'hmm'

I loved you …

like water -
dove, swam, immersed
drowned

like breath
out, in, saturated
gasping

unseen
but essential
impalpable, yet vital

my sea -
deep, boundless, capricious
blue … terrifying

my sky -
vast, moody, dazzling
blue … and dark

you … were my
element - oxygen for my fire
breeze to kiss my cheek

a stream to
cool … and christen
the expanse to cast my sails upon

you …
were my aliment -
manna from the heavens

my sustenance
and I …
devoured you

for ‘til that moment
I’d never known
the meaning …

hunger.

Earth

The soil is from Wall-Mart,
brawny and rich as sweet tobacco.
Driving home
bag of dirt on the back seat,
aromatic atoms of fertility
pop unseen.
I tip the bag
wonder at the rich darkness
yet there are mushrooms of light,
galaxies of milk-spinning germs.
It tumbles through my hands
like mane of brown horse.
A muscular earth
that douses fingers in a laving of loam.
I feel the child-lings, the pods,
I know if I sprinkle rainwater,
the wombs of impalpable virgins
will fill with promiscuous
prayers.

An Impalpable Journey

The past is where bygone memories linger and diffused as mist

The present is where every precious lesson is kept or dismissed

The future is where this eternal spirit wanders in vain or in bliss

Premium MemberArrogance

Arrogance, a sad word holding no purpose in this meaningless world, since we
Revolve upon the commands of some power against which we cannot dare
Rebel, for so subtle and impalpable it is, so divinely mighty, readily
Outpassing our will, denying us of our right to choose for ourselves,
Gorging us with torments, to have us submit to it while we become tragic
Actors and actresses, all dutifully playing out roles in our own
Nether, blindly believing ourselves to be the center of everything that exists, but, if we
Cared to adorn ourselves, with the spiritual commands of this same power, those which
Enunciate of how fickle and short life is, why, our passage on this Earth would be blissful!

One Day We Will Learn

All real things
, already were
dreams, one day...

All dense matter,
is made of the ethereal,
indivisible.
impalpable...

no one is a son
of carbon and
of the ammonia...
we're nobler fluid ...

Nothing happens
without a purpose:
even death has
a sense...

Slowly,
let's understand
what the universe plots...
Even if it lasts one
eternity...

Before I Ran Out of Blood

I've been writing countless poems all my life
With tears as my medium, unpigmented ink
While sulked in the chair where you used to sit on
Words became traces of what was once an unbreakable link.

Done! But the final outputs turned out impalpable,
Unreadable, even my tear-stained eyes started to bleed
Half-crazy, miserable, palpitating over black coffee
How long have I been a prisoner of this cranky bed?

So, I tried to draw blood again from my pale wrists
And wrote my dreams on the coffee-smudged pad
Of you and me dancing under the pale moonlight
T'was but a vague dream, surreal but so sad!

As tears outlined my scrawny cheeks, I wrote this:
"I've been writing poems for you but,
Please read this before I run out of blood..."
My bad! No apologies, I know I've hurt you a lot.

Premium MemberFate of the Spirit

***This piece is a vital human question regarding the validity and
authenticity of humanity's existence, experience and significance,
in relation to the perpetual immensity of the universe with
         its mystical and confounding qualities***

                                            Fate Of The Spirit

Are sentient organisms through the vast unknown

                Simply insignificant evanescent galactic fragments

Adrift in space across faultless and everlasting time

Cradled in the inexorable grasp of an Impalpable Force

Of which within a twinkle of one universal moment could

Condense a consciousness into an extinguished sparkle

Instantaneously driven to oblivion throughout eternity?

Or essences created in a transcendental awakening?

The truth lies upon the immutable fate of the spirit!

Nocturnal Dreams

                            Nocturnal dreams are unfulfilled scenes

                               seized by impalpable circumstances

                                    hampering pathways pointing

                                       toward complicated mazes

                                             of vivid possibilities

Delirium Divides

In the corner of my room,
you’ll find many a decentralizing delirium dust
Where my mind does consume,
peripheral visions of a malevolent distrust
Deprivations that entomb,
metabolic disturbances of cunning combust
Temporal lesions loom,
of psychotic disorders in a state of thriving thrust.

I see you but cannot touch,
thru nociceptive nightmares nurturing night
Hallucinogens that will crutch,
frantic neurons paleocortical penal plight
I feel you but cannot clutch,
a dimensional dementia in a demons fright
Denunciative delusions a monstrous much,
external images in fetal flight.

I sense you but cannot taste,
chemoreceptic catacombs of a pernicious smell
Stimuli distortions of waste,
proprioceptors penetrating the gates of hell
The love I give is displaced,
impalpable illusions within a condemned cell
The love received defaced,
from a schizophrenic defamatory defunctive dwell.

Fleeting

.
..
...
....
limitless love endless hate
well conceived thoughts
words to my ears
words to my mind berate
my heart my brain
limitless? without limits
limited
infinite immeasurable deluded impossibilities
you have my body you have my hours
you give me frowns amid fragrant flowers
wilting wilted wilt
want more more more pressure
make demands
I give less
try to find time to know what I'm feeling
the shadows from my walls
stretched so long send my mind reeling
so high so wide so deep
buried
bottled
bottled up myself so distant are my desires
elusive like sands through your fingers
or water in the cup of your hands
my self
myself so impalpable
scared to dissect
afraid of what I'll find shaken by the secrets
closed off in my mind
compartments for safety
locked doors without handles
never knowing myself a mystery unsolved
hear no evil see no evil
does not make one absolved
finding excuses I'm tired I'm wired
it's too late I'm too old
endless? without end
ended
....

Anticipating Aquarius

behind the invisible and locked door Akashic records are re-
corded and monitored (lizards and limbic systems leak fluids)
as druids sacrifice their lives for the harvest and hum…

the swelling cities ramble and babble
beneath sagging and aging wires
disintegrating and integrating
into the impalpable web…boiling brains…

blackness eats mouths growing cancer
as the king’s atomic crown blinds all…

the owl recognizes a voice in the orderly wilder-
ness…the first flakes of snow descend…electric hell glows…

all citizens know and obey the silent titles and epitaphs
etched into our stony silence stabilizing foundations of reality…

the texture of madness caresses my psyche
my eyes envision scythes and scathing words…

…caustic causations eat reason out of my tongue… (who are you?) whispers the auto-
mated unconscious answering silhouettes with symphonies…the negative is the final
answer…contracts contract and species sizzle beneath the riddle penetrating the o-
zone…
