Sneak to Reek
Every time I look away,
the storm sneaks in
another step.
I see a flash in
the periphery
out of sight.
I feel a tremble
a tumble, a rumble
in the air.
The storm hushed heralds
it's there.
Rollings in relentless,
all powerful,
unstoppable,
ignorable,
reticent,
and strangely shy.
Inevitable,
the storm
sneaks in,
to reek
and come on
by.

Limited capacity

With limited capacity
I write to you.
Poems, letters and say
whatever feels true.

With limited capacity
I face the God like world,
raise my flag and with limited strength
I do go to war.

With limited capacity
I accept or deny.

With limited capacity
I had to come and I will bid goodbye.

Our stories,
they never becomes invaluable,
we just follow the other's
with our ignorable sadness and sighs.

With limited capacity
although it is cruel, it is a rule. Why ?
That we never get to know,
and the fact that will strike
eternally like an arrow,
you and I shall have nothing
to remember us by.

The Last Breath

The sound was deafening
The ringing menacing

The light was blinding
But also spellbinding

The smell was horrible
Not at all ignorable

The taste was amiss
Making my tongue hiss

The bomb breathed its last
Leaving nothing but glass

The war was then finished
Half the country diminished

But those who were left
Felt more than blessed

Death had finished his curse
Knowing he couldn’t do worse

Premium MemberThe Doorstop

We bought a doorstop today,
For our great-grandson Noah
It was in the shape of a Giraffe
One like I've never seen before.

This doorstop had an attitude,
He had a cheeky grin,
His eyes were bright as buttons
They sucked us in.

I picked up the cute giraffe,
He looked adorable
We began to laugh,
Its presence was ignorable.

We both smiled broadly,
I was still cuddling the giraffe,
It became infectious,
Other shoppers smiled as they passed.

You're in your second childhood,
Said my husband tenderly,
I never left my first one
It's a place I choose to be.

It is a happy place
Without responsibility,
A place we can play all day,
Together you and me.

As I sit here writing,
This useless little rhyme,
That perky little giraffe,
Has been with me all the time.

It seems ridiculous
To think of this stuffed little thing.
Can raise a person's spirits,
And for a while, make sad hearts sing!

Cold Tears

Cold are the slow running tears. Cold.
Stunning. Not ignorable.
Hated.
Cold because they know they shall be hated, because pain or grief or conflict and not tenderness has created them. Hated tears. Not born from joyful prayers, nor from gut-shaking laughter, or from being witness to splendor.

The hated tears come from hurt, from a cracking of the heart’s rainbow shell: bleeding tears. Not even warm at their start. From their origin of pain they stream despised and cold: those tears, from sad, stinging-hot eyes, seeking some hope that the heart might again find a golden seal gracing over its shell.

Premium MemberPractical Sense

I cannot say, that I like being flattered...
I love it! I cannot say, that I like being
tattered – but, we learn from a bit of
ruffling...so, I love it! Now, to be ignored
is the pits – but on second thought, no need
for throwing fits; generally, we are ignored by
the “Ignorable”...so, who cares? Now, my wife
is another story – she does the cooking.
Definitely worth listening and amorously
looking.

Premium MemberBigotry More Alive Now Than the 60s

Giddiness pretends we love indifference
Desperation in ignorable thoughts
Status quo readies us for church and stuff

Our heads buried like the pink flumed ostrich
Having more in common with us than us
Hatred follows us around like mouse traps

Head clouds are pretty not hearing squeals
Bigotry alive more than the sixties
War? Why not? We have our assault rifles.

Dr Martin Luther King tried so hard
How many of us still remember this?
I feel he would be ashamed of us.

Come take a picture so we can pretend
Crazy out-of-sync is our new normal
Souls leaving hard and fast now to escape

The Way I Came Across, a Translation For Njaanum Ente Vazhiyum Poem

I am posting the English translation of my creation named "Njaanum ente vazhiyum".
I think that you will like it....

Yes, I was walking slowly through that dark, silent way.....
No!! I forgot to learn and understand the facts of life by walking fast.

I walked slowly by thinking that all the things I came across,
and all those whom I crossed were good and trustworthy....
But... when I turned back to the way I came across, just to know....
I understood my mistakes, my misunderstands.... about others....

My heart is beating for something.....
Some memories play Hide & seek in it.....
The pain which was given by those memories....
I think that some pages of my life book has been teared by somebody.....

I know I was late to understand my mistakes and the facts of life...
I became late.... too late..... now!!!!?
I think that I am in the dawn of my life.....
Is it so my dear!!!!!!.....

PS:I am new poet, so, I request you to ignore my mistakes. If the mistakes are not ignorable-
-then feel free to post a comment, so that I can rectify those in my next creation.

Like Clockwork

Tall yet scrawny,
Contrition attempts to
Force its way through.

In this small window
Breed opportunity but of
An unknown flavor.

Goog-a-lee eyes always
Scrupulous and indeed
Tempting perhaps for
Once ignorable?

Unsheltered of course
Two wills in opposite
Directions cannot
Demand wholeness.

The Worm and the Apple

There once was a worm who lived in an Apple,
he lived there, and quite comfortably.
He found dirt deplorable,
but Apples, adorable!
The rent was affordable,
and cheap!

There once was a worm who lived in an Apple,
he lived there and never came out.
"This is my Apple coreable,
nothing I love moreable,
life outside's ignorable!"
he'd pout.

There once was a worm who lived in an Apple,
he lived there and liked it just fine.
Sometimes, rain would pourable,
with great thunderstormables,
and when the wind roarabled,
he'd hide!

There once was a worm who lived in an Apple,
he lived there, but one sunny dawn.
He noticed the floorable,
which looked nice beforeable,
had become deformabled,
with rot!

There once was a worm who lived in an Apple,
he lived there, but was forced to leave.
And how he complained a lot,
till he saw an apricot,
and he did proclaim this thought;
"It is now that I see;

-that he who lives only inside his own head,
finds it is a small world indeed"!
