Like Clockwork

Tall yet scrawny,
Contrition attempts to
Force its way through.

In this small window
Breed opportunity but of
An unknown flavor.

Goog-a-lee eyes always
Scrupulous and indeed
Tempting perhaps for
Once ignorable?

Unsheltered of course
Two wills in opposite
Directions cannot
Demand wholeness.
