Practical Sense

I cannot say, that I like being flattered... I love it! I cannot say, that I like being tattered – but, we learn from a bit of ruffling...so, I love it! Now, to be ignored is the pits – but on second thought, no need for throwing fits; generally, we are ignored by the “Ignorable”...so, who cares? Now, my wife is another story – she does the cooking. Definitely worth listening and amorously looking.

Don't worry about being ignored or few comments. Greatness is ignored here. If you write about the shoes in your clost or mixing bowls, you get more comments. LOL. I could do a comedy act on some of tbe poetry , it's so mundane And meaningless . Perhaps mine is Too. You count Joe. PoTD winner, you Do not count on comments! God gave you a gift use it. As ML told me early on. DID YOU COME HERE TO WRITE OR GET COMNENTS. THIS IS POETRY SOUP NOT COMMENTARY SOUP. JIst keep writing. Panagiota xx

I could respond to this with my entire autobiography, 2 essays & the poem I wrote about my mom. My husband of 39 yrs, faithful caretaker, must be prodded to read my poems, then just will sAy “I like it.” I am unfamiliar with praise generally. I leap when getting a Wow! We poets have low self esteem & since it’s our inner voice in our poems we want THEM loved…

No prophet is revered in his or her hometown. It comes with the territory (poetry)...the neighbor of Jesus still upset, I bet, about her favorite flower pot broken when Jesus accidentally swatted His ball into her front yard (fortunately Joseph was good at mending things:)). Thank you so much for reading and leaving a heartfelt reply. Blessings!
