Premium Memberdeeper and deeper

the hypnotist begins his act
pendulum sways.
his voice is slow and melodic
“you are getting sleepy”

the next thing I know I hear
“deeper and deeper”
someone takes my hand
leads me to the stage

I am told to skip around like a chicken
and bark like a dog, which I do without thought
this delights my students
I am so suggestable,
They come every year just to see me.

Hypnotic Love Attack

My head is swirling all around
My feet are whirling off the ground
My arms are open, never closed
Chills run from hair to my toes
My eyes seeing the first time
I'm hearing sweet love bell chimes
My legs are weak and wobbly
What are you doing to me
My whole bodies out of whack
From this secret love attack
My senses I can not control
You begin to take a toll
On my brain--I can't defend
Any signals that you send
You are like a hypnotist
Your spell of love I can't resist
Trapped in a web of desire
Of flames that are getting higher
The heats making me too hot
My heart is about to start
Melting and it doesn't care
Embers flying everywhere
Leaving sparks so intense
I can not make any sense
Of how I am getting weak
Every time I hear you speak
I am usually so strong
Now I know the whole day long
There is no way I can fight
The way I feel through the night
As my brain is telling me
It is useless tryna' be
Escaping your hypnotic ways
I need you more through the days

Come To This Like a Child

Swinging watch of a hypnotist

Look into my eyes
You’re falling into a deep deep sleep
Forget who you are

In a red tie
I duck out my work backdoor

Stop
Stare
To a baby robin

Sways upside down back and forth
Suspended before my face
In the breeze of a luscious June afternoon

Chirps madly for rescue by its mother

Leg strung to its nest
By a wiry line meant for fishing

First flight

Plenty of blame to this tragedy
I guess you could even tsk tsk the mother
Who thread her nest with grass, twigs and hair
But also plastic and string
Scrapped to our parking lot below

I cut the fledgling down with scissors

Takes two hands
To hold its ruffled orange and brown body

He cries
His mother screeches from a perch near by
This leg is broke and nearly sawed in two

I snip the wound line from the worn slice of its leg
Creature flops
Its wings won’t extend

What to do

A shadow joins me and says over my shoulder
“Ah, nature.”

And walks away

But I stay
Remain in trance
Quietly weep with the choir

For the Earth we have re-birthed from Saturn and fire.

Realism

A hypnotist within reason;
Charading as an apostle;
Crooning carefully along
Tablature of the mind.

A realism portrait,
In a landscape, never entered;
Like Moses, and the Promised Land;
A symphony never finished.

Always rehearsed.

Premium MemberThe Snake Charmer

Fascinated people watch a cobra
swaying before them to the sound
of the snake charmer’s instruments.
He is deemed a hypnotist and a brave magician
to be able to mesmerize so dangerous a creature.
Using his special pipe -the pungi -
he guides the snake in a magical dance.
Money is collected from an audience
who feels they have witnessed enchantment.
The snake charmer has done his job,
but he did not charm any snakes.

Prior to his show,
his dangerous cobra had been torn
from its natural habitat.
Its fangs were ripped mercilessly
from the creature’s mouth -
a mouth which then was sewn almost entirely shut
so that no harm could ever befall
the “brave” magician!
As snakes have no real ability to hear,
the instruments in place present a grand illusion.
The dance is that of a terrorized reptile
swaying to avoid being struck by the pungi -
which it perceives to be a weapon.
Those not privy to these secrets have been duped.
The snake is anything but charmed.
Its awful death will be
slow and certain.

Counting down from ten to one
Hypnotic trance ends, stupor comes undone
How then do we smoothly, from sleep awake
Who is the hypnotist, doing the shake-shake-shake
Find out now; dull awareness is no fun

Premium MemberFraudulent Mary

There is a fake cripple named Mary.
She is scheming to bilk an insurance company.
Three saps live in the flat just below.
Mary's plan is something they don't know.
The three are willing to vouch in her behalf.
How they cook breakfast for her is a laugh.
Each one of these guys is an absolute jerk.
They hang posters for a hypnotist where they work.
Are you wondering what the conclusion will be?
Get the video, and have a look-see.

Based on the 1949 Columbia Pictures short subject "Hokus Pokus" starring the Three Stooges.

Premium MemberSilence and Stillness

Caught in the open
trapped in maya web
nowhere we may hide
from spiralling fear
borne of our ego

The hypnotist
offers no cure
no healer too
offers solace

In stillness
calm silence
we abide

Gods love
Instils

Light

Premium MemberMaya Induced Hypnosis

Swaying pendulum of the hypnotist
Impossible for mind-body to resist
It transfixes our attention in a trance
Stillness then being our only chance

Fact that singularity contains duality
Self inflicted hypnosis blocking clarity
Is known only in stillness and silence
When ends with images our indulgence

There is no meditator in our meditation
Lifting of the veil mirrorless recognition
The clue offered every night we sleep
Dreams unreal where we laugh & weep

While awake ceasing ego identification
We exit all illusions in quiet meditation
Though memory imagery yet pursues
Vaporised presence bliss throb renews

Stillness innate within in each vibration
Cessation at point of polarity rotation
Be it in thought or breath or heartbeat
Hiding in open sight this truth repeats

We see this not being bound by a spell
Mesmerised by illusions where we dwell
To exit all we do is to go to the centre
Nonchalantly each life flavour savour

In stillness

Contradictions

Contradictions

In shadows thoughts lurk, waiting to be found.
One idea at a time is all my mind will let out.
I am totally built from imperfections;
All these flaws and still I write my contradictions.

I am at my best when my head is in distress.
Still more to say, but I digress, when all is said.
I continue to never explain what I mean;
I hide my real feelings, as I tell you everything.

The man in the mirror can see through me.
He used to be happy, but now that is just a bad memory.
A hypnotist told me to believe that free will is easy.

I have a belief in my lack of faith.
I wish I could believe, but this is neither the time nor the place.
I need to be loved, but I am scared of the thought.
My life has taught me to never ignore a parable.

Working hard to relax;
All recurring dreams they do pass,
Like a breeze of the wind.
Never seen, maybe just imagined.
Beauty is all around, but there is none to be found,
In this jungle of the city.
She is so pretty,
But I do not have the words or will to speak,
Of my vocabulary mastery.

Champion -Rap-

who's the best champion here?? me!!
come and step up if you dare if you're coming for me
I suggest you come hard/ harder then you ever did/
show me what you've prepared/ be cheeky and candid/
i'mma sit back and just stare/ watch words flow from your lips/
when you're done fall back/ get ready to receive my gift/
you gon' see colors and places that you wish you never went/
when I'm done your brain's gon' go limp/ you'll be swearing and advertising me as a hypnotist/ i'mma straight body you/push you to the left and right side/ yeah, I'm coming through/ hit you with that body slam/ make you wanna tap out before the end/ have the bell ring, referee raising my hand like yeah
you're the champion/ everybody screaming yeah that's the champion/
yeah I'm a champion

Love’s Masquerade

Love, you old chameleon,
hiding on the edges of truth
deceiving the searching eyes
playing hide and seek with hearts.

Hidden in the doubts of self esteem’s flowers
obscured by the shades of loneliness
covered in the dust of fear’s remembrance
naked amidst the fashionably alone.

Love, you lazy purring cat,
motionless observer of your world
slowly blinking hypnotist
gently guiding stumbling fools.

Curled upon the lap of cautious time
mellowing in patient acquiescence
mewing in the background of a dream
soft catalyst of love struck conflagration.

Reincarnation of Donna Larie

Reincarnation Of Donna Larie

I keep having these strange nightmares
Of a woman being burned alive in a car,
I dont know who this woman is
But I feel connected to her from a far,
I feel so emotionally and physically connected
To this nightmare,
I can feel my flesh burning as if I was actually there,
As the nightmares got worse
I was acting out what I was seeing,
Its like I was this burning human being,
I needed to know what was wrong with me
I needed to know why I was having these horrible dreams,
I allowed myself to be put under hypnosis
And was told by the hypnotist I'm living a second life,
The woman that was burned to death in a car accident was me in a past life,
The minute I died
I was reborn,
My spirit didn't go to the spirit world
I reincarnated in human form,
In this life everyone knows me to be Shawna Marie
But the truth of the matter is I'm not really her,
I am a reincarnation of Donna larie!

Hypnotist Days Calling Me

Sleepy lit nights that I miss so much,

Conscious alterations of superficial happiness invaded,

Artificially flavored dreams tasting so sweetly in slumber,

Separated by guiltless waves never crashing on my mind,

Gazing at flickering shiny lights that talked to me,

Suggestive thought powers that held my past in suspension,

Far off trusted voice speaking soothing probing words,

Senses tumbling in that warm unthinking cavern,

Where my memories were allowed to live again.

"A poem to me is the essence of any thought,
Being built from its foundation into tower scraping sky.
It can fly like no other bird to places never seen,
Even spaceships can only dream of taking its place."
