Look, there are two of us in here
One goes with mode of care and share
The other, a living nightmare

Our ego is immersed in fear
It steers us toward needles strife
Yet it is useful for earth life

Our true being holds God’s light dear
Remaining centred in the void
It’s our soul pure and unalloyed

To whose voice do we lend our ear
Lust versus love, we each must choose
It is by free will; no excuse

Let love and light, our life course steer
Ascending through chakras seven
Our direct pathway to heaven

Look, there are two of us in here
Our ego is immersed in fear
Our true being holds God’s light dear
To whose voice do we lend our ear
Let love and light, our life course steer

Purely psychosomatic

Where liveth preen for empathy
Drew ragged,
Poor sawbones perscribed
"where in pain warrants lithe deformities"
Swimming,
Loathed from the east
Collared,
Hung dry,
Pruned by the sweat of a racing night

When in dawn's bleached seamstress
Sought a grim vow
Erelong in catapult
Where'n torrents clothed spare
Credences in cold eyes of maggots
A cruel indifference,
In polar tear.

Jekell and Hyde

During the day I’m jekell
At night I’m Hyde
Can’t say what I feel inside
But just know I let the lord be my guide
I’m not perfect I’m not a saint
Words are the picture actions are the paint
Look in the mirror it all starts residential
Keep the fire in you may not feel like it now but just know it’s essential

DR JEKYLL AND MR HYDE

Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde

Jovial Dr Jekyll played for juvenile Justice
                    a just jaspered journey
jokingly jumped a joyride
                                to juicy jukebox jabbering
in jackal jackboots
                         from nearby jungle

Dr Jekyll clasped a jackknife eating
                                  jambalaya to justify a
                             juggled juxtapositional
jurisdiction jamming
       as jugular vein jingled jewels
joyfully jauntily jaywalking
to a jay named Jim Jolly !

Onward he jumped to a
                                   Jungian junction
              Jupiter jocund watching his
 journeying joints
              journalese seemed a jibe jig
but neither Jewess, Jesuit
                            or jeweller jiggled this job

So he jerked his jess
                          like a jape for Japan
Jejuning onto January for the
                           next jangle of jasmine

No jellyfish was Dr Jekyll in Jordanian jerkin
           though sometimes Mr Hyde
                   with jeroboam swirling alongside !

Premium Member Frankenstein or His Monster?

We know the dire story of Jekyll and Hyde
Where a man’s potion made his nature divide.
In real life, it’s not easy to separate
Ourselves like eggs and potatoes on a plate.
If man is made in God’s image, then it’s fate
That God has some evil, and men replicate.
Everyone, everywhere, has a bit of both -
There’s evil in us all, a cancerous growth.
You might look at yourself and ponder on, sir,
Which is Frankenstein and which is the monSTER?

Betwixt two sides
protection from the devil
a blend of calm and chaos

separate the twins
and the iron doors appear
a prison of one’s making

Do you think we’re better off, if we let the devil roam free? The killer, once restrained, now is on the loose. Do you think the conscience of the good, gets off scott free? Do you mingle with your base side? Do you hide behind your good, but still entertain the fireball in your hands? Do you knock on doors with evil in your heart, but just enough of a mask to get by? I say let the Lord in; let his cross knock down your iron will, willingly; let Christ set you free! The fire you feel is purifying; the Spirit inside, comforting. The breath that fills your lungs, reborn; your heart in lovely form - its chambers freely flow with peace and love.

primal feral instincts
involuntarily stir
catching us off guard
yet here they are
vibrations unwelcome
which so appear
where grow their roots
which we nurture

Premium Member Mr Hyde the Pied Piper Cat

He’s Mr Hyde the pied piper cat
He plays a flute and know where it’s at
His melody is roaring, exotic and phat.
We mice dance to his music, he’s our acrobat!

I wanted to warn my cousin slim.
I had seen cats before who acted like him.
But my cousin was content, and so was I
The day I got mesmerized when I wandered by.

Mr Hyde

I’m over the anger
I’m past the fear
I see the danger
But I’m still here

Bipolar demon
And mr nice guy
Inside, I’m screaming
But dare not cry

You drive me mad
And warm my heart
You’re good, then bad
Sweet, then tart

I can’t prepare
Only you decide
What face you’ll wear
Today it’s Hyde

Jekyl and Hyde

I first met Jekyl
so sweet and funny
made me laugh and smile
you made life sunny

You helped me out
you gave me life
you made things better
took away my strife

But then things changed
a potion you drank
you became Hyde
no one else to thank

You turned into him
the one from before
the one I'd escaped
I couldn't take more

The man I loved
he'd disappeared
gone forever
as I'd always feared

No more laughs
only had tears
what happened to Jekyl
after so many years?

You split in two
only loved the first
didn't know Hyde
he was all your worst

Premium Member Jekyll and Hyde of Her Personas

By day she is a wife, daughter, mother, neighbor.
Only her husband knows that she transmogrifies at night.
Tight neon costumes, wild hair, intense makeup.
She becomes a rock star that is unrecognizable to most
Who know her as daughter, mother, neighbor.
Her closest friend has no idea when she enters the club
Who Dynamo Diane and the Dizzies is.
She loves the Jekyll and Hyde of her personas.
One gleaning the admiration of the status quo.
The other attracting the ones the status quo despises,
They are her tribe though. They are all her tribe.
So she rocks on, hoping to be able to keep up her façade forever.
As she needs both worlds to satisfy her Gemini self.

Your Mostly Mr Hyde

You are living outside
Your mind.
Are you qualified
Mr. Hyde
To deal with man kind?
You are living outside
By the beautiful seaside
Unconfined.
Are you qualified
Not to do homicide
On human kind?
You are living outside
Who would be satisfied
When your so unkind.
Are you qualified
To provide
An account of your daily grind?
You are living outside
Are you qualified?

My Dr Jekyll and His Mr Hyde

My tears are streaming
His eyes were beaming

My thoughts turn to past acts
His thoughts expose the cracks

My never-ending mental torture
His tools are put in order

My race is coming to an end
His race is at the first bend

My end is nigh
His begins on a high

My time here has ended
His time is open ended

Premium Member Jekyll and Hyde - Doppelganger

bright eyes gleaming with mischief
gentle compassionate views
determinedly ambitious
me sober and free

glazed eyes full of hate and fear
anger mixed with self pity
high drama - no coping skills
alcoholic me
