Frankenstein or His Monster?

We know the dire story of Jekyll and Hyde Where a man’s potion made his nature divide. In real life, it’s not easy to separate Ourselves like eggs and potatoes on a plate. If man is made in God’s image, then it’s fate That God has some evil, and men replicate. Everyone, everywhere, has a bit of both - There’s evil in us all, a cancerous growth. You might look at yourself and ponder on, sir, Which is Frankenstein and which is the monSTER?

Thanks Sara, I'll bet you were an interesting English teacher. I wish I would have paid attention to English in those days, was only into math then.

I agree with the sentiment in your poem. We all have a bit of both darkness and light. The question you asked in the last line is the same question I asked my English students after reading Shelly's Frankenstein. I received some interesting answers. Enjoyed the read. Have a great evening, Sara
