Hoped For Poems

Premium MemberMore Than We Had Hoped For

both in our separate worlds
and when fall fell upon us
destinies coming together
our hearts collided
our lives meshing as one

Premium MemberWhat She Had Hoped For

The older lady used words that no one remembered.
We were not sure if they were mean or glad.
But they spewed out in crazy ways.
Hitting people in their faces
Clawing at their eyes.
Smacking us in our noses.

Maybe they are bad words my uncle suggested.
He was a sailor, so he recognized the connotation.
The content was an anomaly.
We smiled at her, hoping she would give us a clue.
She could not. She had forgotten their meaning
But she adored the reactions that she received.
They were what she had hoped for.

Cold Tears

Cold are the slow running tears. Cold.
Stunning. Not ignorable.
Hated.
Cold because they know they shall be hated, because pain or grief or conflict and not tenderness has created them. Hated tears. Not born from joyful prayers, nor from gut-shaking laughter, or from being witness to splendor.

The hated tears come from hurt, from a cracking of the heart’s rainbow shell: bleeding tears. Not even warm at their start. From their origin of pain they stream despised and cold: those tears, from sad, stinging-hot eyes, seeking some hope that the heart might again find a golden seal gracing over its shell.

Premium MemberEvery Hoped For Wish

In the thunderstorm of my lifetime each wish came so shining true!
Tell me, then why cannot I wake tomorrow, being twenty-two?

Dreams Hoped For

HOPE IS THE BEAUTY OF WATERING THE SEED YOU GREW IN YOUR HEART FROM VISION
UNSEEN BY OTHERS, MATURED FROM BELIEVING IN YOURSELF AND A HIGHER POWER, BUT
NEVERTHELESS YOU HAVE TOO STAY POSITIVE AND LIVE IN THE DILIGENCE OF YOUR
DREAMS HOPED FOR, AND A AMBITIOUS ENVIRONMENT. PUSHING FORWARD IN THE RIGHT
MENTAL MINDSET SHOWING DOUBT THE EXIT, SOME PEOPLE LIVE PAYCHECK TOO
PAYCHECK WITHOUT FINDING THIER DREAM AND GIVING THEIR LIFE AWAY DAILY TOO
HABITS OF LIVING UNCONTIOUSLY AWARE OF THE ILLUSION THEY CREATED MENTALLY.
DREAMS IS THE ESSENCE OF YOUR LIFESTYLE AND THE ARTWORK OF YOUR EXISTENCE ON
PLANET EARTH. KEEP YOUR FAITH ALIVE CAUSE YOUR DREAM IS ONLY AS REAL AS YOUR
IMAGINATION.....

All I Ever Hoped For

around the time your eyes met mine
  i ran in fields of those unclean-
  i saw you stand with feet so sore
  awaiting stars that shall align
  for you’re the one that i adore-
  your cashmere moon sees stars serene;
  a song with tunes caught in between
  what used to be what i forgot-
  the hope of truth that love bestowed
  has planted joy from love’s seed sowed
  the woe I wore was doffed by thee,
  embrace the way you swept debris;
  i ache when you are not near me-
  our dulcet love as pure as gold,
  affection as my heart you hold-
  destruction fears what of romance,
  seduction steers a love perchance
  if dreams of me you dream at night,
  must i admit i dream of you?
  a love too splendid for thy sight...
for you have made my hopes come true

Premium MemberTowards a Hoped-For Destination

The old gal next to me
Doesn't move too fast anymore,
But she's always been beside me...
I can't imagine what for.

The old guy next to her
Doesn't move very fast either;
Would rather not be without her...
Walking slowly together.

We look the same direction;
Pushing, pulling each other forward,
Towards an unseen destination-
Towards a hoped-for destination.

If the Good Lord's willing,
We'll keep progressing together,
Hand-in-hand slowly traveling
Step-by-step forever.

We'll look the same direction;
Pushing, pulling each other forward,
Towards that unseen destination-
Towards that hoped-for destination.

Premium MemberA Life In Retrospect and a Life Hoped For

The years increased and agéd now—between
first birth and the burnt embers of my dotage—
I yearned and pined for a God-like machine
with which to vitalize my wrinkling image;
my youth extinguished long before Life’s hour
ran its course, I succumbed to melancholy
as I loved not nor lived with Love’s great power
within my lifetime—damned be this my folly!
Only faith in a righteous, holy Son
remains who shall rise to give me rebirth
though youth and hale are gone and I’m undone
by man’s hypocrisy upon this Earth.
      So, beloved, extend to me not your pity,—
      for my hope lies in God's Indemnity.
