I bought you a gift, Black Friday cheap
I hoped you would like it and want to keep
My credit card quaked and shook in my hand
I spent much more than I had planned
Black Friday gripped me, bargains galore
I saw the glitter, glistening and spent some more
The gold so yellow, Black Friday blond, amber
Will drape with pride on your delicate camber.
Black Friday arrived, a wooden gift box hidden
Inside the thinnest chain your heart may be broken
The diamonds larger on the screen, but tiny reality
The gold a wafer, the emeralds pale lacking vitality
Black Friday lied and Black Friday cheated
My cards are naked, my accounts are depleted
I dashed in the morning through the showers
And hid Black Friday, with a bunch of flowers.

Robin Hood of proud Nottingham fame,
Treated affluent folk as fair game.
He’d grab hold of their cash
And then off he would dash,
But to give to the poor was his aim.
Bowman Robin, with cupid-like art
Sent a quiver through Marian’s heart.
Through the woods they would ride,
Merry men at their side;
How she wished, just for once they’d depart!

I Write-
poems for brouhaha contests-
perhaps of love
or nature or some gobbledygook interesting
but, I am left gobsmacks and dumbfounded
'cause I took one point blank and sharp
to the heart . . .
like- I spent hours writing that la-di-da poem
and now I am left in a puddle- of sad
what bamboozles was that theme- I was hoodwinked
oh collywobbles ! I am befuddled and baffled
and making a kerfuffle is like useless
So Looking-
for a new contest that confuses-
that will bemuse, perplex, mystify and baffle me
perhaps rhyme
or free verse or some other form puzzle to play with
where I know I will be left in a puddle- unhinged
and totally- happy . . . .

Modern Philosophy

These entities become the demigod
We have place our country under it's authority
Father
Son
Holy Spirit
The God our nation crawled after
For protection
For provision
For guidance
Our nation grew up
It was nurture
It was blessed
It progressed
Then at a Opportune time
The Destroyer Of Nations whispered deceitful words in our ears
That diluted our minds
with the thoughts that all our blessing were from the works of our own hands
That poisoned our heart against God
We became un thankful
We became disobedient
We filed away God with all the methodological deities
We erected new alters to worship our new demigod of
Modern philosophy
Pet Psychiatry
High Technology
The blessing of our demigod on our nation are
Destitution
Depravity
Regression
desperation
Salvation for our country is only one step back
Turn back to The God of This countries youth .
