These people I safely know
who like to healthy grow
fail to distinguish
between cooperative housing
and cooperative households,
cooperative countries
and communities
Which
as we all seem to know
although textbooks often fail to show
include cooperative gardening
and cooperative farming
and possibly cooperative
organic management
of a polytheistic living planet
without monotheistic competitive
monopolistic cultural intent.
In each interdependent case
we explore something together,
some primal trinitarian relationship
between healthy resilience
and safe transitions
and beautifully balanced
resonant energy
Synergy produces
co-arising fruits of sexual
sensual
and sacred exotic
erotic regenerate sensations
Further witchy wonder which,
like resonantly tasty
and fragrant,
richly brown and black
white and green
orange and yellow
red textured
robust stews
Cooperatively touch
and feel
and show
and thereby know
a primally sublime
healthy
safe
and beautiful homebrew.

It's Covid time, no-one's feeling very fab,
At Covid time, we wear a mask and have the jab
And in our world of Covid, we could spread it to everyone
Don't throw your arms around them at Covid time
But stay at home, even self isolate,
At Covid time - no risks, do not leave it to fate
There's a world outside your bubble
And it's lacking our pubs and beer
Where the only ale that's flowing
Is some homebrew by Ray Mears
And the Covid app that pings
Heralds two weeks now stuck at home
Well tonight thank Gove my pint's head's little foam
And there won't be open pubs in town this Lockdown time
The greatest gift we hope is bottled beer
The Messiah drops by
There is no need to cry
Do they know it's Lockdown time at all?
Cheers to you…
Raise a glass to Dave and Debs,
Cheers to them
Orders by text, or web,
Do they know its lockdown time at all?
Drink the Beer!
Drink the Beer!
Drink the Beer!
Drink the Beer!
Drink the Beer!
Let them know it's Drinking time again
Drink the Beer!
Let them know it's Drinking time again
Drink the Beer!
Let them know it's Drinking time again
Drink the Beer!
Let them know it's Drinking time again

Chicago's like a box of alcoholics
you always know what your gonna git
gang bangers and amateur rappers
pick pockets and sidewalk crappers
trolls guzzling homebrew under a bridge

No way, not me, this isn’t my thing,
This pub just isn’t my game,
This pub where vintage is modern as hell,
Where everyone’s beard is the same,
And the price of a lager is out of the world,
An ale costs a fortune or more,
It’s ridiculous hanging a bike from the roof,
Well, those were my thoughts before,
I tasted a stout, a bottled homebrew,
The ride grabbed onto my soul,
And I knew in a moment, behind all the flare,
I’d found my new watering hole,
So now, every day, out the back, on the couch,
Beside the fire pit by the tree,
About quarter past five, with a stout in his hand,
The bearded guy that you see will be me.

So many new things that I never have tried
The list that I saw left me completely bug-eyed
I could go see a shaman or learn to play cricket
Raise termites for profit or learn to drive stick-shift
I could homebrew some beer or maybe some moonshine
Go whitewater rafting in torrents of pickle-brine
But here's the 'new thing' that I want to do
Something that may change our lives, me and you
I want to speak good of all people and things
The key to real peace, which speaking good surely brings
Now if you dare think this can't be attempted
That from a challenge like this, folks like me are exempted
~ Well, just 'cuz my tongue's always oozing some acid
Doesn't mean I can't teach it how to be placid!

The ugly witch kept her in a tower
And made her work hour after hour,
Until her loved prince set her free
When he said, “Rapunzel, marry me.”
The old witch had a raving fit
And truly carried on a bit.
She said “I’ll fix that mangy prince,
By brewing my magic herbs and quince.”
The prince, not so dumb as the witch thought,
Dug a big trap. The witch was caught.
He forced her to drink her own homebrew
And added some of his own stuff too.
The witch lay there in a big stupor,
Elves came along, tried to recoup her.
They thought she was their friend SnowWhite.
They fed her bon bons day and night.
They noticed she was getting bigger
And pretty soon would lose her figure.
They gave her to a passing frog
Who carried her to his marriage log.
He’s proud of his bride and her loud croak
But the witch is sad, her life’s a joke.
The moral of this is plain to see
Or that’s the way it seems to me
Don’t keep a damsel in distress.
Or it may be you whose life’s a mess.
