Critics Beware

Critics Beware!

Poets are vulnerable no less than anyone,
when fallen victim to outrageous critics.
As Shelley wrote, critics' darts struck Keats,
who blindly, cruelly, mocked 'Endymion.'

Lethal no less the heady potion fame.
Some drowned, took poison, died paupers or insane.

Yet poet-baiters must themselves take warning,
wrote Heine in his 'Winter Fairy Tale.'
Eternal lines, if barbed, outdo Hell's fierce burning.
'Time shall not heal when poets wield the flail.'

Our foes, wrote Paul, are not of flesh and blood
but powers of evil inhabiting high places.
Promethean fire consumes the evil and the good,
Iniquities have many masks and faces.

Alone the Word that spares the infant's life
to wrong proves mightier than every art of strife.

I – impeccable timing and pitch whilst
V - veritable charm seeped from her fingers that even
A - angels would be jealous of, an awesome
R - rendition of unforced precision which
I - in spite of her tender age, was beyond

Better read history of WW ll!
Racism, plus fear of a bug were
quite effective then, too.
Malaria was created, and placed
in mosquitos.
Hoping to wipe out populations in toto.

Heinrich Himmler used Catholic priests?
On which mosquitoes did so happily feast.

Who, then, brought COVID to many nations?

I think you know the answer.
A nation of beasts!
Like the Nazis, they used a biblical
method. (Plague of Locusts)
To have you live in fear, with your
happiness out of focus.

It has cost nations, much loss, hysteria,
And lockdowns are a sensation.
Politicins holding the key to grotesque relationships.
Turning us into a social distancing nation.

Having fearful people walk this earth, wearing
Petri dishes, called masks?
Inhaling their own bugs, till their very till their
very last, precious, breath!
A grievous, lied about infamous task.

Dare you not live in fear, to elected wimps.
Nor their laughing co- leading wimp-o-lets!
Filling your coffee mug daily
Telling you untruths!
Saying, "this is as good as it gets."

Life Everlasting

Raphael in the 16th Century of 1505 painted about Yeshûa,
Anglicized is Joshua, who Michelangelo Buonarroti
Remembered in renaissance art, including the Sistine Chapel, and
Carl Heinrich Bloch made come alive Jesus in paintings for us to know thee.

Mary His Mother and Joseph His Stepfather loved and cared for
Yeshûa in Bethlehem of the land of Jerusalem, then Egypt,
Nazareth also a town in Galilee, so prophets are verified true,
Stained-glass windows depict much of His life, as the ship in the sea tipped.

Life and light riding on white colt tradition for King’s entry into the city
Jerusalem past lilies, over palm fronds in beautiful springtime,
Hosanna! they shout; save us now King of Israel, and the city was moved,
For triumphant was His ride and glorious was His countenance,
     as people sing rhyme.

The Great Plan of Salvation is put into effect through Jesus’
Sufferings, Atonement, Crucifixion on Calvary, and death,
Michelangelo’s 1499 pietà shows Mary’s mourning and sadness
Yet glorious Easter morning resurrection brings our Savior and
     our Redeemer eternal breath.

The Eagle Has LANDED -A TITLE POEM/Free Verse

Theparatroopers safely landed in England,
Eagle were their names in code.
Has not Heinrich Himmler informed us,
Landed in order to kidnap “Sir Winston Churchill”.

Faster than you can say Professor Heinrich Graf Von Glockenspiel
A friendship is gone
That’s what I called that joint experiment of ours
A friendship
I don’t know what you called it
I never had the honor of being called your friend
I didn't make it past colleague
Epilogue
I was that man who was kind
You were that woman who was indifferent
