Here is my little cheating song,
Contribute to this gross contest and play along,
I was cheated on many years ago,
It hurt like hell this you should know,
Anyways she came back home to me,
She used a condom to you see,
But condoms do not always work,
So I got something from the jerk.
It cleared up with some pills and surgery,
But the heart was filled with pain and misery,
So go ahead write your poems and make fun,
It just proves your heart is with the evil one!
Such a fragile tool within our chest
quietly beating beneath our breast
The heart can open up
like a bright sunny day
or sag like a weeping willow
as the breeze slowly sway
the heart lights up
like dawn after the night
or holds back
like a small boy in fright
the heart fragile
like a cub in the snow
or magnificently performing
like a troupe with a show
the heart is alone
trapped in a well
or an adventurous old man
with secrets to tell
the heart can be cold
like ice in the arctic
or progressively hot
a new item on the market
the heart can be alive
unable to be bled
or the heart can be dying
R.I.P. we mournfully said
Take every single day in your stride.
Through everything she will guide.
Never give up, no matter what you face.
Right here on earth, fight for your place.
Every beat of your heart feel grateful for.
For you never know when you'll be knocking on heavens door.
Follow your heart as it knows best.
Stay in this world for you are blessed.
Best of luck for your fight, stay strong.
For you shall be at peace in not too long.
Don't fear leaving this earth.
Live everyday at it's best for that's what it's worth!
Stethoscope in ears.
Why listen so intently?
Be sure heart doesn't murmur.
Beats must be even.
Life depends on steady flow.
Do not need to blow a valve.
Note: This is for my best friend Jimmy who has a heart murmur.
I wonder if you know?
How my heart aches so
There’s nothing I can say
To stop you from carrying on this way
Brought together by fate
A friendship we did create
Sisters to the heart and soul
No one would ever know
Though we didn’t share a blood Mother
But I love you like no other
Threaded together in a life of strife
The pain cuts like a knife
To watch you take those pills
And see you oh so ill
If I could take away the pain
The pain that makes you think
I can’t see you sink
Into a darker dark
When did all this start?
My patients are running thin
Hiding won’t make you win
This battle of addiction
Again I have to listen
To those daily doses of wonder
and questions that come from under
Can you feel the braking heart of
your sister?
This was written for my sister who lives with addiction
