The teams from all over the world,
Met down and under the world,
They came from Asia, Africa, Europe,
Latin America, North America, and all over the world.
The Women were young girls, stout and healthy,
In every game, they showed their vigor and muscle,
The expressions of scored goal were portrait kept in heart,
A missed goal was a heartbreak, they still tried their best.
Every game was delightful to watch,
The faces showed the expression of kicks,
Size and stature did not make any difference,
Tackle, passing, headers, and shots, what made all the difference,
Being a sport fan, I salute all the teams,
No matter who won, you all were my winners.

CRAZE DURING FOOTBALL GAME
Up yellows; greens; reds and blue,
tell me! Tell me, who is through?
Passes. Crosses. Headers. Shots.
Volleys, blasters, more scissor kicks
tell me! Tell me, whose on the spot!
Ninety minutes with some overtime
eleven players playing in the field
each one targets to be World Champ!
The strikers and defenders immense
so are Audience claps, dance, rants!
Dripping sweat from turning, running
Tension rising! Twists are rocketing!
Audience wriggling, nonstop cheering!
Thriller, action, comedy plus tragedy,
Oh all are drawn by its classic drama.
Perplex hard attacks, clever corners
rise from a penalty or free kick yell!
Elicits an alarm to goalie keepers' eye
He in eagle's arms and kangaroo leap
Tell me! Tell me, has one scored a goal?
Around the globe, fellas or gents in craze,
amazed and tantalized by Football game!

All dressed in matching shirts, belt buckles and ties,
The big black boots made from leather,
And their pride and joy, sitting upon their head,
With the biggest brim, leather strap and a feather.
There’s headers and tractors, sprayers and drills,
Harvesters, loaders, and ploughs,
And the thousands of farmers, from this region,
All walk around and casually browse,
This new equipment for barley, sugar, or wheat
For fields of canola or fruit,
And a special buy is the new dog box, that simply sits,
Right on the back of their ute.
This is the site where farmers meet once a year,
Wheeling and dealing a rural parlay,
The hundred hectare paddock, transformed into,
The Henty Farm Machinery Field day.

Match day is here, scarf around your wrist
Dad takes his lad the games never missed
Sea of red winds its way down the lane
Singing the songs that announce the game
The turnstiles click as they hurry inside
Narrow passages opening out wide
The green of the pitch is sharp on the eyes
Hot Chocolate in hand and the promise of pies
The team emerge from the tunnel to cheers
Hands waving scarves and pints of beer
The whistle blows and the match begins
Each supporter hopes it’s their team that wins
A flying tackle, a quick taken free kick
The headers won, home fans feel sick
More running and shouting from the team in Red
90 minutes are up and they are still ahead
The ref calls the game, and red fans cheer
The blues are disheartened, it was near.
1 – 0 to us, we are top of the league
Billy is smiling his dad is relieved

What’s in a signature?
Why is it all the same?
And what’s behind the way my fingers autograph my name?
There’s the twirly Y, the big round R,
And the funny looking G.
Oh, why do I always seem to completely forget about the E?
And I happen to like creating titles
When autographing the line.
Like Storm Trooper, Cyborg, or Phantom before everything I sign.
But folks have gotten narky with these
Headers before my big round R.
So I’ll drop them, leave them out completely, just replace them with “The Czar”

Miles far from,
The ticketing toll,
Unmentioned to some,
Lingering soul,
Pushing on,
The roads are made,
The breaking dawn,
Streaks vaguely fade,
Posted in place,
Thriving success,
Becoming a face,
Cleaning up the mess.
People rise,
Creatures scatter,
Tongues of cries,
Memories of laughter,
Dismantled letter,
Ripple effect,
Faults setter,
The headers collect.

A
Saying that's been around forever
Where it came from I haven't a clue
There's many phrases just like this one
So familiar to both me and you
PENNY
Is a word not heard much these days
Its value's much less than a cent
We used to get a big bag full of candy
At the store it was a big event
FOR
Many years its value has decreased
There's a rumour they'll not longer exist
Where's this technological age leading us
The good old days I so dearly miss
YOUR
Thoughts are probably, what an old geezer
He can't keep up with the times
But us old guys lived a much simpler life
For those good old days we still pine
THOUGHTS
Of sodas, ice cream and lollipops
Linger in the depth of our being
Tears can be seen trickling down our cheeks
A sad but so joyous a feeling
