Premium MemberThe Big Lie

This is the century of the Big Lie.

Right from the beginning
With the Dot Com boom
9/11 attack and subsequent counter attack
We’ve been living
In one continuous deceptive news cycle
Of misinformation, disinformation, gaslighting
And Chicken Little fear mongering.

It’s no wonder the youth today,
Those born this century,
Are terrified of what is, and what’s to come,
Taking it out on themselves
With self destructive addictions and disorders
Taking it out on their peers and families too
Since actions have consequences
That ripple out through all time and space.

We’re all hardwired to believe
But in an era of pervasive brainwashing
In schools and media, entertainment and culture
We need to learn how to doubt
And critically think,
Trust our gut, intuition and the common sense
We’re also all born with.

We need to recognize the lie
And where it has come to dwell
In each of us.

Premium MemberThe Madness of the Crowd and Other Popular Delusions

(Dzachuka Tibet, summer of 2017)

The Madness of the Crowd and Other Popular Delusions

The crowd is always prone to madness
Since reaction as a herd in danger
Demands conformity without reason.

The fact we live in a time of madness
Is nothing new or unusual,
Relative Reality after all being
Merely a conspiracy of relatives.

But sometimes it seems it’s all now extra crazy
As traditional boundaries break down
And everyone is free to think and say
And increasingly do whatever they want.

The ascendency of gender dysphoria
And acceptance, even celebration
Of child mutilation
Being a case in point.

But the fact is, we live in a world of illusion
Which the madness and delusions of the crowd
Is merely attempting to adapt to,
As all our perceptions and thoughts filter through
A mind which can do no other than interpret and distort.

These are the tools we are given,
A mind and body hardwired to survive
In a world of illusion, thus adapted
To the point of expertise with spinning illusions.

It’s not our fault, but instead our destiny
To find a way through
Out of the Cave of Unknowing
Into the Space
Of a land before time.

Premium MemberThe Route

Right now I’ve still got all this fight in me,
even as I wage war with bulletproof;
I’m ready sucker punch for the knockout;
Enemies try but just fall short daily,
hardwired sarcasm explodes with a poof;
This was never an exhibition bout.
What lies deep within will not diminish,
I wish this inner conflict would ease ooph!
I’d gladly laugh and let go of this shout,
but I can’t seem to cross the line finish
                     the route.

Quantum math

The boomeranging echo
deafening to receive
retro rockets smoking with the effort to retrieve

What dignity affords

Approaching the singularity
Where mathematics misbehave
Infinitely distorted space and time discovers I am brave

For this the final frontiers inimitable calling to me softly astral plane

Rosie the robot
Taking on a life of her own
Worlds beyond comprehensive control boweavil seeking her home

54321 Houston we have lift off
Winging through the atmosphere this star dust studded loam

Made for growth this rootless vine ideal it seams to roam

Nomadic maiden trying to ignite fire with sodden sticks
In a van down at the river
Still up to your old tricks

This hardwired struggle release

Return oh Viking warrioress
You won this fight at birth
Now sail with pride this prairie schooner when you return in peace

Rest my sweet Rest
For you are lightyears or a softly spoken word away

Prepare for your reentry
        at last
Your coming home

Premium MemberThe Cork Solicitor

Carrying their brief to Washington Street
Ready to present before the court
A solicitor’s compelling case
Based on the law of tort

The judge arrives on the circuit
Yet in his ways he is hardwired
To let this case run on forever
An efficient ruling, anything but

An hour later, the judge cries
“Time to break for lunch”
Soon, we’ll find the defendant’s motives
About which I have a hunch

Across the street lies there
A sandwich and hot tea
Although those desperate junior counsels
Will beg for soup from you and me

Come evening, sessions close
There’s a bus home from the quay
Emails from the Law Society
Ask us to record our CPD

He feels less photogenic
as he ages
more pornophobic,
watched
and found wanting
with judgment
and not amazement

As he displays his patriarchal
militant
fading software

No longer hardwired
for ballistic climates
as needed,
wanted,
craved

Extracting verbal dominance
from compassion's great
green
groaning nonviolent climax.

Premium MemberMy Dear Fear

What is fear; something outward or within?
Strangely serene; how darkness holds all still.
Fight or flight? On either, truth will transcend.
Of life, love, and lust; risks rewarded thrill.

A feeling? A thought? Or just a notion?
A primevally hardwired cautiousness?
All and naught. A truly raw emotion.
Too fear, is at the root of consciousness.

Null fear; would there be any joy in love?
The valuation in that lost and gained
makes no difference in the light thereof.
Through fear; life and it’s meaning are sustained.

Fear is rooted alongside the being;
cinched, behold all that’s worthy of seeing.

Premium MemberGoing In Within

Oft in the still of the dark unforgiving night
We do wake up trembling with remorse
Ego borne ferality cause of our plight
Consciousness correction the only recourse

Hardwired and left brained we make a list
Of inner urgings resulting in contraction
Habit borne patterns that insistently persist
Deep gloom shrouding our innate elation

What we see is that all fears mirror desire
Being two sides of coin called attachment
Anchoring our attention in delusion ego sires
Holding us thus captive in discontentment

Looking at our dilemma in spiralling fears
We begin by accepting reality as it is
Thus resisting not negativity ego spears
We exit the game of solving quiz after quiz

Rotating polarity of attention effortlessly
We go in within into our heart centre
Choosing to listen to conscience intently
Within the void of emptiness bliss enters

Thus it is not the type of fear but fear itself
Mirroring desires amidst external illusions
Blocking connection of lower mind with Self
Joy ignition rekindled in stillness of meditation

Let It Be

There's a perturbation beneath the surface
An impulsive dilemma of wants and needs
It's a cognitive battle
Should I refrain, or should I feed?

The desires are instinctive
The hardwired cravings are insatiable inside
Change is like trying to outrun our own shadow
Or like separating the self, from the I

It's not life that's bothering us
It an internal narrative that consumes and controls
We must learn to observe the dialogue
It provides personal awareness, it makes us whole

When we learn to let go of the externals
We gain control of our life
We learn to live in the present moment
We take past wrongs, and make them right

In the end - life is what we make it
Perception creates our unique reality
We’re all part of something bigger
Take a breath - now let it be

Premium MemberAge Has Not Aged

we gathered lilacs
             you&I
in that faroff land
                              distant
now uninhabited
unvisited
             'cept by memories

those days so real
more real then
          than this today
seen through a veil
yet
   still indelible
        imprinted forever
hardwired for easy recall

age has not aged
who we were then
passion
is not stilled in the breast
desire now
         does not rest
                        but stirs

we drink at that fountain
of yesterdays
                  when
                     we were young
&
this love of ours
          had just begun
we wander&kiss
   the same&
                   remenisce
of that faroff time
I
   remain yours
&
   you are still mine

Fragile

What is life's meaning?
What is the purpose in life?
I'm afraid humanities insatiable appetite for answers
Is creating existential angst in our lives

A brain hardwired on the savannas
Full of fear and aggression has become wise
This is the true devil in the workshop
It has nothing to do with an idle mind

In fact, an idle mind has time to contemplate
Time to gain perspective and unwind
The trouble is the burden of awareness
We are responsible - and aware of our impermanence - we all die

Those who use reason and logic
Pay a huge sacrificial price
Their ability and to stay calm in the moment
Is view by the masses as a cold - uncaring devise

We’ll continue down this path of fragility
Deflecting, distorting reality all the while
We sublimate collectively
Like sheep - following in complete denial

An awakening is imperative
We must learn to accept that which we can and can not control
A commitment to do better
And be dedicated to the process of letting go

Premium MemberIt Hertz To Know You

When you visit my site, sad to say, sound's subsonic
My ears can't hear music an elephant hears,
A text message is louder (I do read all comments),
At times, I confess (though) they bring me to tears!

If my tears are from laughter or joy (when you honor
Me here with your presence) I count it a win,
For it's not just agreement, in fact, that I'm after.
I still dare to dream all that I share ghosts my sin!

Not just sin I've committed, but sin in my genome,
Hardwired by free will that no man has escaped!
Should the pitch of your visits be something I value?
Ascribed too to sin? Should such manners be aped?

I don't write for your pleasure, still pleased when that happens.
In faith, I am you and think you are me too!
But our acts trip us up on the path to tomorrow,
All virtue's skin deep that we wear (frail tattoo)!

It's in pain that I grok you (for you're my reflection)
Though friendship has content like words of a song,
It's a choice that we make (and the heart of what matters!)
If Grace can't intoxicate, something is wrong!

Are Men Meek :: French Canadian Sonnet

My friend opines, men are strong, but women
are much stronger enough to make them weak;
It's difficult to believe; Are men meek?
Hurting men's ego; how he has written.

Unfortunately, he is very right;
Study says, women's brains are hardwired to
focus more on emotional ado
nurturing their emotional orbit.

But, men's brains focused to hear emotion,
study says, then try to find solution.

With such differences women work to
enhance own self-control by finding tools
to adjust emotional state as rules
when needed, while making decisions too.

Miss So and So

She’s so neg neurodegenerative,
so womb retro Neanderthal

Her backward moving bellow decisions
aren’t thoroughly modern mellow

Got lip kicker high heels
that testosterone neuter kills

Miss So and So
loves to cold-heartedly
iron cast her anvil anger with
dragon breath death blows

She’s so con method constrictive,
so anaconda pocket squeeze avarice addictive

Those boa belly estrogen rolls
always take their masculine squeal toll

Her every hip sway diamondback pulse suggestion
is cobra hardwired for a vow recoil bosom confession

Miss No Good So and So
is a sultry eyelash she-devil
Delivering a bottomless pit of insomnia pain
everywhere she pillow goes
