An Ode to my Mouth

Sometimes you're better open, but usually you're closed
I breathe through you most often, at night you make me snore
You help me seal my love, how you tingle with sensation
You help me sing like angels, after devil days have darkened
I use you every second, but you never groan or grumble
Without you, gaining sustenance would be a real kafuffle
You open up your door, to allow my voice to enter
Whenever there's controversy, you're usually at the centre
But best of all, when all around are full of pomp and style
You break their barriers beautifully, your simple, gentle smile

Premium MemberA Year of Fun

This year is about to close,
with snow on it's way.
It is time to turn the blushing apples into,
a warm apple pie with ice cream.
Cinnamon from the oven makes me happy,
as I twirl around the kitchen floor.
You make me laugh,
at what you say.
My cheeks feel warm,
are they turning rosy?
As time goes by,
I feel the warmth of the sun.
A fan gives me a cool breeze,
I daydream away.
Words I need to find,
today they are off to play.

Premium MemberActing Not Happy

Always pretty good at acting;
But faking it off stage? No, I’m not;
Heart on my sleeve when I’m happy;

Made up anger conceals happy,
yet accurate it’s absolutely not;
Words of clay dribble through acting;

Familiar mask, waste not want not;
Heaven forbid you make me happy
Mood swings a pendulum acting;

I’m exhausted acting not happy.

Happy

You make me laugh,
all the time.
You make me smile
when I don't want to.
You make me say things,
that I never thought I would.

You...
make me,
more me...
than I have ever been,
before in my life.

You complete me,
and send me round again,
like a circle,
on a wheel...

I feel,
truly in love.

Premium MemberHappy Birthday To You

Happy birthday to you gorgeous
Your smile has brightened my day
I sense a resilient heart in you.
And a willingness to play.

You have uplifted me this morning.
I am feeling better now.
You make me want to dance and sing.
With your smile and wise know-how.

Happy birthday to you woman.
I hope your day is marvelous and fine.
I believe by looking at your photo
You are not full of grouse or wine.

You have increased my happy feelings.
I am enthusiastic about your smile.
I think you could probably outdistance me
in almost every contest mile.

Grace

Black and white like a panda bear,
but so much softer is your hair.
Every day you smile at me,
your toothy grin a blessing.

I throw the stick,
the ball,
the toy,
you run and jump
with happy joy.
You make me laugh,
and sing.

Always coming at my call,
even when I am the one,
to fall.
You never scold me,
if I am bad,
instead you take away,
my sad.

You are a dog,
a wonderful gift.
And God knew I needed...
a miracle.

This warmth inside, they say it is my heart But all this time it beat and I did never notice Where did it hide? This glowing thing there Where? This spreading feeling rosy red While I'm in bed it warms me. But how did it get in? Sometimes I grin but do not understand, strange land of undiscovered magnitude, I lived so long in solitude that everything and nothing passed me by till you that is, till you, but why does thinking about you make me warm. Is it that you live in my heart? And I no longer fake the smile upon my face, the curling of my mouth. If you live inside of me, do I in you? Can that be true? I do?

Premium MemberHappy Mother's Day, Daughter

Happy Mother's Day, My Dear!
I hope this finds you well.
How you've increased my spirit's wealth,
No tongue on earth can tell.

I thought I'd write this little note,
To say how proud I am,
To say that you're a child of mine,
And that I think you're grand.

Now that you're a mother too,
You understand me more.
I think we see more eye to eye,
Than we did before.

You've grown into a fine young mom,
And I just want to say,
You make me proud, my darling girl,
Every single day.

Circus clown, don't let me down.
Why don't you clown around with me?
You are my laughter.
You are my smile.
So stay awhile and smile with me.

Circus clown, don't let me down.
Why don't you cut with the silly frown?
You are my laughter.
You are my smile.
So lift me off the ground.

Circus clown, don't let me down.
Why don't you clown around with me?
You make me smile.
You make me laugh.
You make me sit, and watch you dance.

Circus clown, circus clown.
Why don't you clown around with me.
You are my laughter.
You are my smile.
You are my sunshine.
So stay awhile, and smile with me.

So stay awhile and smile with me..
