Hush hush busy muskrat;
all you bucktoothed beavers
gnaw on unheard, work you unseen.
The sleek panther is stalking
slipping silently through the feathergrass
an angel of hunger is in its eyes.
You timid rabbit and fawn, be gone!
That creeping killer can stalk the wind
it smells your breath,
the faint odor of death
is already upon it.
Quick you nibblers, you green grazers
Your time comes ever nearer -
flee now, be gone!
Sometimes we eat when we’re hungry
Or else when we’re just in the mood,
But everyone’s habits are different
In how we relate to our food.
There are 3 meals-a-day folk as well as
The ones who skip breakfast or lunch
And grazers who nibble for most of the day
Or snackers who in-between munch.
There are people with junk food addictions
And those who shun pork, beef or fish,
While the gluten or carb-free among us
Pay attention to what’s in each dish.
As for sweets, that’s a whole other story –
When you think about ice cream or pie
Or the various candies and chocolates
Without which some could never get by.
Just consider your own way of eating
With the foods you enjoy or you sneak
And you’ll realize, if you broach the subject,
That our diets are all most unique!
Black Rhinos are listed as, critically endangered
They are found in deserts and grasslands, of Coastal East Africa
and are the smallest African Rhino, with two horns that are ravaged
and they are browsers rather than grazers, eating on leaves and trees
Humans encroach on their land, which stops them from being grand
and with a lot of poaching going on, their lives are not looking long
Their horns are black-marketed, for the use of medicines and ornaments
but their lives are important, and should not be used as human servants

FERAL FLORA FAUNA
Vast wide meadow quiet and calm
cherishing feral grazers to thrive.
Peripheral jungle – album
Shows scenes of slaughter to survive.
Jungle and meadow both feral.
Vast wide meadow quiet and calm.
Blooms on weed send wild scent floral.
Non-mowed meadow marvels in charm.
Grazers in herds to raise alarm.
Jungle always acting cruel.
Vast wide meadow quiet and calm.
Preys and predators staying parallel.
Carnivores eating flesh for feast.
Wild jungle not in decorum.
Feral Nature with beauty-beast.
Vast wide meadow quiet and calm.

Open fields
No farmer reaping corns
Eternal pastures
Bereft of grazers
Streets and avenues
Dead silence only broken by military convoys
Houses and apartments
Men hiding like mice
Schools and colleges
Momentary sirens
Graveyards and crematoriums
Bustling with the dead
That’s you, dear world, today
Good Morning!
Creatures, crawlers
Goblins, grass, grazers
Roots heaped on trash
Life flowing above
Flowing underneath
Life flowing through death
And spaces beneath
Dazed dreamers
Crazed lagoons
Dancing daffodils
All seasons in bloom
