Frienderellas Faerie Godmother

I am your faerie godmother the creature told Frienderella.
Frienderalla stared at this beautiful, young, exotic creature.
You cannot be, you are nothing like the godmother in Cinderella.
True, said the godmother, but I am real, not a book or movie feature.

Saved By Her Faerie Godmother

tiger lily was tired of being beautifully stagnant.
Bored, she was tired of standing on this hill, facing the sun.
Every year same oh, same oh.
Her faerie godmother came by. What do you need?
I need to bounce around, to see the world.
Poof! She became a beautiful ball!

Poor Fairy Godmother

The carriage arrived at the ball a few minutes fashionably late.
Which was exactly what Fairy Godmother had hoped for.
However, the carriage was empty.
The door opened and no one appeared.
Where is she? F.G. asked the footman.
He did not talk.
Neither did the driver.
Fairy Godmother was not allowed the luxury of this kind of mistake twice.
Her supervisors appeared

No Prince Or Godmother

I was deep in the bowels of depression alley
When I realized no prince or fairy godmother was coming
The only person who could save me was me.
Was I ready to do it? Or did I need more “poor me” time.

I like pitying myself sometimes, enjoy licking my wounds.
Love to go over the scenario, making someone else

The Godmother

She cradled Sarah
in such a precious way.
We could see 
not only was the baby vulnerable
but also Lynne.

Two years before
we had met in hospital;
there cradling her own 
Sharon
whose head swelled 
and swelled
with continual distress 
and seizures
from encephalitis;
no treatment in those days – 
just tender care.

It was tragic
at the graveside – 
tears and hugs.

Now
she had bravely said

Godmother

She walked the path of righteousness
where her foot, through faith,
would not be moved.
Her days were long
but still she walked
the way of which the Lord approved.

Mother of my mother,
the love you bear for every soul
I cannot imitate,
for it was real
and true to heart:
a love the that I must intimate.

The accolade you would refuse,
and humbly so decline
but

My Godmother Passed

My godmother passed
On August the 9th
Her age was 91 years 
A long life she had

A funeral gathering held
For family and friends
Only a party of 10 allowed
Then another group next

She was loved by family
As well as her friends
A very sad time for all
She will be missed

A cremation held 
A trip to New Brunswick
To rest with her

Her life has been progressively sad
Day to day stuff perpetually bad
Where is her fairy godmother we ask?

She bought glass slippers at the thrift store
Cannot keep pretending they fit any more
Where is her fairy godmother we ask?

Her prince is not coming. Dreams not for likes of she.
Angel masks depression, where can she be?
Where is her fairy

A Wish For Fish and a Dolphins Swish

A WISH FOR ALL FISH

Washed up on shores around the world
Already dead, a whale, a dolphin a shark, 
All marine life is suffering, the situation
Has become absurd, 
The facts real and stark!
My Fairy God mother in my poem
Yes about a dress, said I could contact
Her anytime, so I made a wish,
For 24 hours I wanted

I visited an empty house today
I found elephants with mirrors on its hide
And a dromedary with fluffy yarn 
That raggedy Anne wore for hair

I asked if I could have the records

Turned six years old and had a bunk bed

Two weeks ago, we got a very excited call 
From our friends on the farm,
Tony’s sexy young lady, 
Shady,
Had given birth to a small
Beautiful baby pony,
She was named Charm!
Over the following week they sent
Us many a Whats App, with photos galore,
My heart sung, this longed for event
Had finally come,

Sweet Godmother, My Grandmother

Like opening my window
On the first day of spring
I just have to hear her name
To feel that same burst of intensity
Fresh and charged with energy
Her love for me her goddaughter
Her devotion to La Familia
Her compassion for humanity
Her incessant boundless creativity
Her effervescence and zest for life

I hear her name and feel the hurt inside
For the grief

In the land of dreams galores.

Your charm is equal to a dress set on a whirl,
So, transform while afloat in aquatic spheres.

Lilting voice of tender carriage
          Defined her gentle being
 As time had not dismissed
            Her childlike charisma

Laughter often narrates thought
         When memories give rise
