"For in the dew of little things the heart finds its morning and is refreshed." - beautifulnow.is
Autumn tiptoed in after summer.
I reminisce of the silent kiss
she left as droplets on the delicate florets
of one beautiful, bright chrysanthemum.
Her early morning tryst went undetected
until the evidence of it glistened
in the light of a sweet September dawn.
I spotted that lovely mum blushing pink
from the visit Autumn made just before King Sun peeked down
from his throne of gold on high in the brilliant sky
when he caught the goddess bidding a fond farewell
to the flower she had been deliciously romancing.
Too many times to count has Autumn visited
other flowers, leaving her fleeting touch of love
which puts a glow on their pretty petaled faces,
but each of her kisses is evanescent.
In that moment I recall, one chrysanthemum
glowed most gloriously from the silent kiss.

“The fusion of her lips with his took him
to the edge of the stilled time,
across the silent waves of euphoria.” – By Poet
The pristine patina of the unfurled rose
glistened like garnet on your lilac lips,
mingled with mine they seemed like the melody
of the shimmering dew at sunrise,
resonating in the flushing meadow
of my heart pulsating with longing
that rolled the waves of euphoria
from the receding shore of the ecstatic time.
Floating entranced on the fragrant air of your allure
I devoured the flavor of lust
from the luscious contours of your yearning lips.
Your crimson enticement stoked up
my flaming desire, turning my craving
into gleaming ember of fervent love.
In its afterglow fused with the hues of the setting sun
I still feel the sensual pleasure of the silent kiss.

"The days are jewels, keep them with care". Jackie Kennedy
Aquamarine were summers with siblings
beneath skies of blue riding bikes or swimming.
Days of emerald too were times we spent outside -
barefoot on our lawn, badminton rackets in hand.
We’d stroll past Grandpa’s cornfield down the country lane
searching for raspberries to pluck.
Such awesome times of jade were games we played outside.
Rose quartz I collected as romantic daydreams.
Stories I read in books (depending on their plot)
glittered like gems of amethyst or citrine.
Pearls were winter weekends spent sledding or skating
but diamonds were holidays with family.
Opal’s shifting colors were my school days.
Slumber parties glistened an iridescent pink.
With my sisters I'd talk into black onyx nights
and chase summer’s fireflies that shimmered peridot.
Most fondly of all do I recall first love.
Red ruby’s passion set my heart aglow.
No other memories have shone more brightly than
the precious jewels of my youth.

Tumultuous time came unheralded
in my life that wandered in the wasteland.
When in the crushing clasp of suffering
my heart broke and writhed in pain,
I searched for the comfort of calm arms,
but found none to cling consoled.
Plunged in the stormy sea of agony,
I tried to swim through the dark night
to the safe shore afar not in sight.
I heard a voice from within tell me,
get detached from the delusive desire,
see hope dawn with the new sunrise.
My broken heart then grew wings,
flew free across the sunburst horizon
to the valley of blooming flowers,
where fragrance floated in spring air
under the cerulean serene sky,
that glistened on the grey of gloom.
In my tranquil mesmerized mind
the floral shower of beguiling bliss
drizzled with the cadence of ecstasy.
In the inner sanctum of sublime solitude
I sensed in the bud of essence the soul unfurls
piece by piece the petals of peace.

The simmer of a summer sky
by favor of the golden sun
Invites my mind to seek and play
such memories of summer fun
Recalling lust of days gone by
for sands of youth on beaches fair
Still tickles toes as oceans spray
and salted breezes dance on air
For tantalizing tan-lined skin
all copper toned in glistened glow
I further reach inside my thought
remembering, my senses flow
The simmer of such sanguine spin
on summer reverie in heat
Still scorches as my brain is caught
and summer’s sandals burn my feet

my arms remained open,
but you were no where to be found.
I tried ignoring you and the blood that claimed we were bound.
retreat is a step away but my feet won't listen,
inflated with loneliness I questioned you from that glass you glistened.
you never answered.
still with open arms,
I asked you who you were,
I demanded your core,
but was given a value holding an unknown value.
I was given nothing.
disappointed and disgusted you bathed me in pity and grief,
like some stinking skeptical stray.
with wide open arms,
I won't await your response,
meet me on the highway to success,
maybe the name I carve for myself shall glimmer,
maybe I'll simmer on your exquisite outline,
even so my desire shall not be quenched.

As the last thread of darkness bids
farewell, it took a swipe at their
peaks,
A thick coat of mist casts a wet blanket
over their faces and swiftly leaves,
Then, out comes the glow of Dawn’s
first golden rays cascading warmth all
over them,
Giant guardians of the earth, through
it all, the mountains stood in silence,
Dawn by the Mountainside, both beautiful
and harsh, taught me a lesson in patience
and endurance.
As the world awakes, songbirds herald
in the break of a new day,
A gentle wind begins to stir, caressing
everything in its way,
Leaves from the valley's tall trees made
a soft musical sound,
And the sunlight glistened as it danced
across the winding river,
Oh, dawn by the mountainside is full of
treasures I’m blessed to have found.
In nature’s open space of solitude and
serenity, worries melt away,
And hearts can find peace in the
graceful beauty of its view,
So, walk by where the mountains stand
in the early morn,
For dawn by the Mountainside,
refreshes the soul and ignites the fire
in the heart, making you feel alive and
spankingly anew.

Tingling passion, lingering urge surging.

as we danced every step was discovery, the creaking patio hardwood
rhythmic and soulful. the light was wet, it’d just rained. under the melting
evening sky time softened, dripped. we glistened, jewels in the night. something
about that jazz, we moved though we can’t dance, we were the piano keys, the air
frolicking around the strings, the breath of every hum. the music was red, freedom
pulsed. I don’t know where we were or when it was, I remember being pulled from
this world by hands soft like the jazz. we danced. as the warm sax blew; we basked
the fuzz, the feeling, the sound, the tears on our eyelids shivering. our shadows
stretched into the earth, laying slender on the sand, in insignificance we revel.
something about that jazz, we slow danced, stepping on each other’s toes - but
it didn’t matter. the sun was going down, we tripped onto the ground. the
hardwood moaned, we laughed. the music slowed, you kicked off your red shoes
the ones you got to wear because it was finally summer. and i lay there, still in your
arms for the very last time, how was i to know that it would be the final. but it was

Book by book,
I see the hook,
How about we have a look,
Don't make me choke,
I am with a bottle of Coke,
I hear a creek,
I am not a Greek,
The shrubs are on a bleak,
Glistened by the sleek,
I soften my cheek,
Keep me in check,
For the high-tech,
I smell a stench,
Without a blench,
I learned in French,
I did not sench,
Into a trench,
I'm blanch,
I went on blank,
I did not want to stay submerged,
I on a search,
For a lurch,
That I could not wait for my lunch,
I sat on a hunch,
I go for a punch,
Wait, it is the launch,
I would not move an inch,
That starts with an itch,
I did not put a salt on my stitch,
To worsen the condition of a hitch,
I run away with a glitch,
I am out of reach,
For more research,
Of what I found and searched.

Ghostly whispers from the graveyard undernead
A slight happiness of the songs that hum in the wind
Divine in sight, and humble in beauty
The moon glistened under the radiant sky
Rich in the morning, happy in the night,
Light' mid the fervor of thy lovely eyes,
Under the sun and past without the light,
Sorrow was in the thou for thy bright eye!

Look at those glimmering orbs,
glazed like galaxies in an unending space.
Look at those glittering lips,
curving up like a cresent moon on face.
Look at those blushed apples,
like those of babies adored in embrace.
Look at those clouds tied with violet ribbons,
dancing away in grace.
Oh! the mellifluous melody it seems,
don't you want to just join in?
Now look again,
look at those glimmering orbs,
glistened with tears, mind in daze.
Look at those glittered lips,
eclipsing the waning heart in case.
Look at those blushed apples,
flustered by desperation to win in race.
Look at those clouds tied in violet ribbons, shackled in lace to flail in place.
Ah! the malicious malady it seems,
do you still want to join in?

The sea never dulls me; it lulls, calms and relaxes me.
It sends me into a trance, like when I dance, in a state of peace.
In stillness, I feel free, serene, glee; yet, aware of things I hear and see.
