Soft the night's whispers stir her heart
Fresh the air's fragrance paints her cheek
Bright the stars glimmer in her eyes
Shrill the loon's note in her cry
Love's a fair maiden when Heaven aligns
Fiercest of predators if portentous her signs

The trees around blew words in wind
A young man grasped them
The branches spoke to intertwine
The one he thought a gem
So one day he led her to a crossing
The water glistening a smile for him
As his thoughts were waltzing
And his words swim
From his lips into her ears
Sweet melodies of binds
Something he has wanted for years
And a calling back she finds
He sees the glimmer in her eyes
And knows its not a bless
So his breath becomes a sigh
And he pleas “please say yes”
She looks like she is lost
His words never this bittersweet
His eyes were glossed
And thumping was her heartbeat
The next thing he hears will break his heart
Ripping out the hope plant
The next thing from his sweethart
He hears “I can’t”
we met at a dance
next wild romance
yet at a glance
there was a glimmer in her eyes
filled with a surprise
as the many years would pass
having every reason to grasp
we both went our seperate ways
getting lost in a purple haze
then one day I heard a knock on my door
as I opened she was standing there without a care
yet this time I was married
still she carried on stronger then ever before
what was her cheif aim & ploy
she wanted me back
I almost had a heart attack
even when I told her no she held on
one thing led to another and we we both under the covers
told her to leave but she soon had some things under her sleave
one night while dining with my family alone
there was some foot steps coming from my cellar something strong
my wife was terrified but I looked deep into her eyes and reassured her every thing was fine
then the she was appearing out of no where with a knife in her hand
a fight ensued she was in no good mood
inside I snapped next thing I knew the woman was on the floor dead
there was many things going on inside my head
now I was convicted of murder but my wife testified on my behalf
it was fatal attraction in action
A pretty girl,
Low self esteem,
Had a rough life,
Still gives her kids what they may dream,
Head held high,
Smiles on her face,
Crying inside,
But you'll never see the look upon her face,
Holding so much in,
Thinking nobody will understand,
Just keep moving forward,
Till she feels anymore she cant,
A glimmer in her eyes,
So light and free,
What would ones do,
If one day she had ended it,
No more smiles,
But free as could be,
Nobody knew her pain or her agony,
Don't let go,
They say hold on,
But they don't know meaning,
To this distraught sad girl,
Instead of taking time out,
And now she's gone....
When was the last time I looked in the mirror
only to look into eyes that I felt were not mine?
They were two dark dots which held a glimmer
of an empathy and caring which is unlike my nature.
Looking more closely at that glimmer staring back at me
I see a part of my being that could only have come from Mom.
She had that glimmer in her eyes everyday of her life
a legacy which she passed on to her daughter and sons alike.
Soft, gentle, caring, sharing the love she had for me as her child
her motherly complexion reflected back in the glimmer I see.
What other gifts are part of the legacy of this feminine heritage?
Is this the reason I am able to love with abandon my own family?
I cannot dwell on this moment of realization that I am part female
as Dad is also here, strong, muscular, but with the same love for me.
Sharing a life of caring for a family which they have made together
I am grateful for both parts of the nature which I see in that mirror.
They have made me who and what I am to all I know, meet, and love
Especially to HIM from whom all things come.
