Gladdest Poems | Examples

When You Are Old

When You Are Old

On a special night when you are old and waiting for sleep
Remember me and this appointment you promised to keep

Take out these pages my love and slowly read
Of the days gone past and dream of the love we need

Feel the warmth of our embraces, see the looks of love in our eyes
Dream of the times we shared before the shadows come and the day dies

Surrender to passions throws beneath a blanket of stars aglow
Relive the surges of love's desires that we made grow

Give yourself again to those gladdest moments of lust and grace
Shared with this one man that loved every expression on your beautiful face

We two are bound by an unbreakable tether
To be lovers forever

Sounds

SOUNDS

Most needed sound -
His longship’s prow grinding
Up the stony beach ground
In Vinland.

His gladdest sound -
Waves breaking on shore
Saying weeks of ocean-bound
Rowing was no more.

Most welcome sound -
A newborn cry
Amid the all-around
Accents of home.

Premium Member On the First Day of Spring

In not too long, we’ll see the spring,
for winter will have lost its cling!
Across this earth, we’ll waken to her sweet rebirth.
On the first day of spring, give praise and sing!

Rejuvenate; refresh; rejoice!
Welcome her with the gladdest noise –
In meadows we can meet to dance with merry feet!
Bring flutes, lutes, drums, and a resonate voice!

At spring’s debut, let’s all arise
with gratitude for her sweet prize:
of life, the renewal thereof, and love,
and promises of bluer skies!

Angel Visits - 2-

Angel Visits (2)

(1)

Rosebud pink dancers endome apricot flushed sky,
Arc'd feathering wingtips exult cirrus high,
Love's pleasured shades delight this thank full eye.

Fright held burden, released in healing long,
Freed heart sings anew, childhood's lost song.

Fierce joy streamers swirl, angels light this temple day.
Blossom hued fliers frolic in gladdest play,
Applaud a soul bravely facing acts hard to say.

(2)

We roast beneath violent radiation storm,

                  then above, though between,

draped arms outstretched, elegant graceful form

                 can be seen!

Sun's power becomes pastel rainbow streams,

                 clouds are called

Iridescent halo's, charge electric blue beams

                 we stand entralled

Our savior solar sylph!

For Emile Pinet Contest; New Rhyming poem on Angels.

Both true instances. However, the last image was captured on film. It has been enlarged and forms a focal point in main home area - reminding me of how close our other dimensional help always is. Now uploaded as my avatar.

Premium Member In the Gladdest Baddest Mood Today

It was the gladdest,
Baddest
Maddest
I had ever been.

I did not know
Whether to laugh
Or cry

So I did both.

Lastnight

Lastnight
We danced to a sweet serender
On the stage:
the spotlight was ours
Under the moon:
the moment was sincere

We tasted the stars
and swept the floor with a gentle twist from your hips

We Sang a Lullaby and synchronized our hearts
Each beat flowing into the other
Eyes Glistening with pure joy

As a red Rose:
you bloomed from your eternal beauty
By heart:
you made me the Gladdest thing under the stars

We ran a Playful speed
We gave our hearts to vice a verse

Fingers entangled and lips locked:
strawberry sweet, cotton soft

As we neared the end:
None mattered but us
None mattered To me but the moments we will hold eternally dear

In the Park

Another night in Central Park
For Shakespeare, as the sky turns dark.
My husband made the tickets hap,
A bonny feather in his cap.

A lovely evening, weather-wise;
The park, a forest in disguise.
The actors, practiced, prepped and proud;
The audience, a New York crowd.

Yet I’m distracted from delight
Because my poem I’ve yet to write.
So here I sit before the show,
Just hoping that the words will flow.

My pencil’s poised upon the page
As actors amble on the stage
And magically, the rhymes arrive –
I am the gladdest gal alive.

I thank the stars right to the max.
From this point on, I can relax
And thrill tonight to “Much Ado…”
From this, a spot-on perfect view!

Heartiest

Heartiest

The mystical moon beam shines in the black water while I watch you get undressed
I want you more than the whole of time and space infinitely I am truly blessed
Liquid softens our touch and we are urchins together close and impressed
Devine moments writhing wanting our eyes look deep like the water splashing unrest
Shining golden between the jagged rocks in this pool of a memory that will always bequest
Tonight is ours forever then let us lie amongst the leaves and grass in our own wilderness
I hear birds whistling and see the enormous trees that stretch above in a naturally untamed forest
The light of the new morning and everything seems brightest but last night my heart was given gladdest.

Diamonds From the Moon

Of joyous jewels, your heart fulfill
How lavish a gift of such an ore
The moment surprize has sent a chill
Through veins a newly opened door
To platters handed evermore
And diamonds fed on silver spoon
Your grace has come from heaven’s chore
Me? I’ll source my diamonds from the moon

Said: take the glad and easy pill
There’s so much more you’d best ignore
For knowledge may have quelled the thrill
That jewels are scattered on the floor
Of earth’s bedrock if you’d explore
Before the hands of men had hewn
The rocks you preciously adore
I’ll source my diamond from the moon

There’s pride in diamond polisher’s skill
To craft your gem without a flaw
The hands that play a craftsman’s trill
Between your hand and earths deep core
And now you ask for even more
For only platters make you swoon
Grace for grace you’re looking for
I’ll source my diamonds from the moon

What use were diamonds that you wore?
When adorned on you at gladdest noon
Those granted diamonds, I abhor
I’ll source my diamonds from the moon
