grimy gremlins gathered in a gloomy glade
giggling guzzling grapeade they’d greedily made
with gadgets gone wild
and gizmos defiled
they gambled on games with tricks they’d displayed

Stop giggling! Complained the head kitty Blue.
You are going to wake up the hound, you two!
If I fall off this fence and land on that creature’s head.
I will most assuredly be prone, crushed, pounced on and dead.
Her two sister cats tried the best they could to stop.
But along came a cardinal with a one-legged hop.
They ended up waking the dog who chased them like a giraffe.
Maybe tomorrow they told Kitty Blue with a laugh.

If I had a wish,
I wouldn't have wished for more,
Some giggling under those stars,
Some love to remove those scars,
Someone to hold me in joy,
Someone to lift me in tears.
That's all I would have wanted.
That's all I will ever need.
Only if; I had a wish.

Even boiling water sings
Making giggling sounds
As though it's laughing
It sings its way
Through pain and ignorance
If you are unhappy
You can learn from it
And you'll gain
Some courage and confidence
As
Life is always a struggle
Like boiling water

Two tiny, laughing dancers
twirl about on tippy toes
to silly songs they’ve made up,
till they land on ruffled derrieres.

I hear them in the hallway giggling and laughing.
A bunch of excited geese, making loud exuberant noises.
My co-workers who are arriving a few minutes early.
I listen and smile, wondering if they know how happy they sound.
It brings the day forward on a good note.

There was a priceless moment
When he smiled openly, innocent
To the careful way I’d held him to my heart
As he laced a path across my soul
Notching out breaths of hope and joy
Serrating hollows of serenity and faith
Feelings flowing through my crimson veins
In whispers of laughing pleasure
Songs of winds shifted through my hair
Beckoning my thoughts with grace
Painting vibrant flames of wisdom across
My life, where he giggled and grinned
Caressing my spirit with the love
Only a babe in arms could have given

The elves are fighting over the Christmas bell again.
It is fragile and ringing, underneath my fat chin.
I will wish you a merry Christmas, my darling friend.
Before I clobber those elves. Will that damned ringing end?
Oh, man, they are poltergeists, and they have run into a wall.
I am frantic now, for they are less than four inches tall.
They can do a lot of damaging in there, without a chamber pot.
Have a terrific New Year’s, also. You are the only friend I’ve got.
Those giggling devils have turned out the light. This clearly ain’t right!

I attended a wedding where the bride and groom were giggling
Everything seemed to be a secret between the two of them.
They looked way too young to be married, and they probably were.
I was the mother of the bride, and I thought she was too young
Even though she was five years older than I had been when I married
My husband kept saying how much he wanted to get out of there
But we were stuck up front, because we were the parents so we stayed
The reception was terrific. My sister kept telling me to stop dancing.
She was afraid at my age I might have a heart attack.
We are the same age, we are twins. I thought this was hilarious.
I may have overdone it. I was hospitalized three days later.
For pneumonia; it was the coldest weather I had ever seen.
We had to leave our daughter in Omaha, with her new family.
We are glad now. For we have six darling grandchildren
And a son-in-law who has taken great care of our baby.
If you can, go to a wedding where the bride and groom are giggling.

Son:
Mother, up in town
I met a giggling girl in gorgeous gown
Who shines in her hue of brown
‘Oh giggling girl’, I said, ‘will you be my own?
North and south, I have flown
And together we shall tour up and down.’
Much fine words I have blown
Much fair speeches I have thrown
And much nice stuffs to her I’ve shown
But she didn’t bulge or drown.
Mother:
Not too much to sit in frown
To make you bend in burdens down
Be still and studious on your own
A wife in time will come for you to crown
A queen to be in glistering gown

Jack is my name, giggling is my game
Laughter and frivolity are my claims to fame
My days turn out great
When Poetry Soup shakes
With the sillies I post without any shame

With giggling eyes
You're laughing inside
With circus clowns
You're on a quick ride
With a sense of humor
You're always surprised
So enjoy the ride
And laugh inside
With giggling eyes..

Oh such pleasure I find
In getting something done.
You are polite, too kind.
In fact, the only one
Who would encourage me
To try expressing self,
Who makes me milky tea
And makes one love oneself.
I enjoy the fiddling
With syllables and words.
When are they now dribbling?
My thoughts, ideas-swords.
My dearest new treasure!
This writing and scribbling
Oh how do I measure
Witty language giggling?
