Gina, what a wonderful reflection on a mother's joy and pain. Your verbs really give flow and a very visceral experience to your winning poem. Congratulations, blessings and a few giggles for today!

The impact children have upon our lives is expressed beautiful in your poem, Regina. I love the way you use free verse; it takes a special talent. There were many extraordinary poems in this contest. Congratulations on a well-deserved win! And thank you for supporting the contest. Hugs, Carolyn
