Under

Being pulled under.
Like a lily pad going ‘boop.’
Bobbing around, then nothing.
No amount of clearing my mind will undo it.

A spider whisper.
He likes me.
Prickling like his legs.
As if I’m in a dome.

Pulled under.
There are other people who have the slobbering feeling under their hair.
Faded out.
Like a pinecone with its edges shaved.

Fingers focusing.
With gripping finger pads that do nothing.
And the kitchen is always a mess of weird things.
Bugs and things.

My edges shaved down and caved in a little.
Grappling under the ice, but there’s no water, just feet of ice.
Someone else used to live here.
He was like a centipede to me.

Everyone is like a centipede to me.
Climbing the walls.
So am I.
Always around in the basement.

Depression.
Is when you are a spider, centipede, lily pad, or pinecone.
And could get crushed any moment.
But you don’t.

Premium Member maybe a snake

snakes on a wall
rattlers all three
no pictures or any
pretty things
just demon scalps
no
they're not evil
I ate the big one
he was old and rough
three days from pay day
half a tank
two shotgun shells
no mourning doves
and there he was
yuck
they're better young
taste like chicken
and not so tough
won't shoot 'em anymore
just shoe 'em off the porch
little bullsnake last night
on the patio under a box
picked him up before the dog
got his scent
tossed him gently
over the fence
I see 'em crossing the road
and stop to help them
wherever I roam
not to get crushed
maybe a snake is
what I was
or maybe a snake is
what I become

Premium Member I Could Get Hit By a Truck

I could get hit by a truck tomorrow
It might drag me a hundred and fifty-six feet
My head could get crushed
I would want to die.
My husband says nothing. He is a wise man.

I might live, I tell him.
But I would be a vegetable.
Unable to lift my arms or legs.
You would have to put me on and off the toilet.
I would not be able to feed or wipe myself.

I want him to react, but he is too intelligent.
After a long pause he says
“You could die today. You might become strangled in your bed.
That would make it easier for both of us.”
I sleep with one eye open.

Premium Member Summer To Fall

Life is great for a few short months
leaves shade us from the sultry heat
but at the end of Summer's season
they get crushed beneath our feet.

But time takes its inescapable toll
leaves wither once they take the fall
overlooked and simply swept away
because they must answer Autumn's call

Cruel North winds age them quickly
Golden leaves become fringed in rust
wrinkled and brittle, tumbling to the ground
they lay crushed beneath the earth as dust

They're ever granted a burial plot
just raked into pyres, and burned in heaps
problems for the weekend gardener
and for their sad death, no one weeps

Call Wolf

Back and forth with you
Next time you call
I will not be there to answer the phone

You say you love me
But that not what I saw yesterday
You was with her
You swear
you will change
But it's the same thing with you
You can catch the daily dial tone
now
Every time it's the same thing with you

Call Wolf
Call Wolf
Call Wolf

you thinking
you can leave whenever you want and I will be waiting for you
every time when your heart get crushed
Look who you calling now
you crying wolf again

you can catch the daily dial tone

Call Wolf
Call Wolf
Call Wolf

Premium Member A Melancholy Morning

I lift my nose to sniff the air,
And smell, in fact, scant odor there,
And barely shadow do I find,
(A fragile remnant of my mind).

I'm clean and shaved, dressed for success,
But still, I feel an emptiness,
I hear birds singing in the trees,
Could that be all, "Do what you please?"

That has an empty ring to me,
Not even God of poetry!
Real understanding's like a tide,
And high or low no source of pride!

Am I the captain of my soul?
Outside events can eat me whole!
One man like Trump can trash my day
Though sound's retired (and all the way)!

My God (I hope) in heaven still,
Though I may fail to know his will,
His Grace, our key to heaven's door,
His Love, our freedom to explore.

Life has the feel of being rushed,
That death might mean our dreams get crushed,
Forgive me Lord (when I doubt soul),
That in Your will I might die whole!

Just Make It Your Way

J-ust make it your way,
A-ll you have to do is trust;
N-o reason to doubt,
D-on't let the faith get crushed.
E-xpress it your way, saying the words from the heart;
L-et your mind think of a thing that sets you apart.

F-ourteenth morn in July,
A-llow others to notice;
R-ise above the crowd,
R-aise your hand in fist.
A-s you make it your way,
L-ook straight in the eye;
E-agerly convince the other,
S-incerity is getting high.

N-ever fear, never be afraid
O-f what your flight may bring;
V-ery well you understand,
I-n the sky there's a broken wing.
C-reativity and uniqueness
I-nspire people every day;
O-utstanding you'll emerge, just make it your way.

Complete and Total Trust

C-omplete and total trust
R-equires faith in the Lord;
I-n the Father you truly rely,
S-ubmitting fully to His word.
T-wenty-seventh day of June
E-xpresses cogent confidence,
T-rusting completely in God
A-llows you to see His residence.

E-arnestly believe in God,
L-et your doubts disappear;
A-lways wait for His promise,
M-ake your eyes free from tear.
P-ure heart totally trusts,
A-s your mind accepts the truth;
R-emember the Lord and think
O-f your early days in youth.

S-olidify your conviction,
A-lthough there are fears;
B-e brave enough to stop
A-nother drop of tears.
L-earn now to stand strong, don't let your hope get crushed;
O-nly the firm can conquer with complete and total trust.

Those Who Knew Me

Those who knew me—no one lives in the neighborhood anymore
Play danguli or whistle with lips, those who knew me
no one lives anymore, not everyone’s life goes same
Probably all know or no one knows at all

Heard the name? Rustom, who could knock one down
enough to forget dad’s name, was from our locality
and broke his few teeth in a rowdy danguli game.
A nightmare ruined sleep. Mum said not to go out anymore

Those who knew me—no one lives in the neighborhood anymore
Women gave charming, lopsided looks through the window, curly hair
The air stopped blowing. Walk away my boy, I say
The fire’s gone out; has he really forgotten the painful memories, too?

Those who knew me—no one lives in the neighborhood anymore
Move away of the road; jackals, one or two, might get crushed under feet

Hope Won'T Get Crushed

C-louds and dark shadows
H-ide from the break of day;
R-ising sun turns the dawn
I-nto crimson, not gray.
S-hine lights your life
T-owards future in brightness;
O-nly when the dreams come true,
P-romising one sweet success.
H-ere comes the morn,
E-rasing the eventide;
R-adiant rays reflect on you to feel the joy your eyes can't hide.

A-s the wide sky is clear
D-ecember twenty-fourth morning;
O-ne special moment makes
N-ew and fresh beginning.
E-ach year that passes by lets you abound in trust;
S-olid in faith and confidence, your hope shall never get crushed.

Still Small Voice

From Isaiah 30:21
Far beyond or far behind...I can hear a voice that is still and sublime
It's small but steady
It's sure and strong
It cuts right through the crap from this mindless mad world
It never brags and it never boasts
It tells no false tales
It tells only the truth
When chaos comes along I make the right choice
I hear and I heed Gods still small voice

I look to the left and I look to the right
I hear threats like thunder and screams of strife
Many lies like lightning they scar up clear skies
Through rage and revenge I smile and rejoice
I listen intently to Gods still small voice

Scattered and scared worldly ones run so wild
Like roaches and rats without a clue or a cause
They worship the cruel one as they wait to get crushed
With souls raped and ravaged they stay scorched in the rush
I never mind the nonsense and I never mind the noise
I become what I believe as I live, learn, and listen to Gods still small voice

Her

Cute smile, lazy talk, sparkle in her eye, beauty galore
Falling, falling….don’t tell me its u I adore
Love??? No I have no definition
What the hell I’ll risk it, start the ignition
The darkness and mystery have me urging to explore
The hunger…I have to feed it more and more
But hold on…
I could say I love her but am not sure I do
We could be friends but I’d still be lacking
Or keep quiet and let it kill me inside
Let her know and get crushed with rejection
But…
Perfection is far from any mortal,
Correction betters any options for the next move,
I just have to prove my affection for her,
Let her feel and live in the connection that’s me and her,
That my arms are equal to fine,
That no line is drawn between us,
And even if any it’s me protecting what is mine,
And that HER…is what I want, to change to forever MINE

Problems, Solutions, Benefits

We all boast of the golden past,
And delight dining upon its flavors,
But, have no faith in our very SELF,
Though often boast of buoyancy.
Attitudes in personality impressive,
Self reliance, hard work and consistency,
Uprightness, self esteem and faith,
Do we all orate and propagate
In every occasion of panic and doubt,
Thus we escape into inferior shades.
Experiences do season mortals,
But, his craving bubbles to be immortal.
Efforts endless on the paths of life
Continue, adorning with many a maxims.
Youngsters find it rather insane,
As are trapped in life's web so complex.
The wheels keep rolling over the sod of time,
While generations get crushed in recurrence.
Problems brutally burn raw wounds,
As Solutions debate in benefits' bondage.

Love

Im with you, I get a rush
You leave, I get crushed
Cant wait to see whats in store for us

We have a future of learning
Lot of love to be earning
Its you, you got my heart turning

All ways, different directions
You plus me, in gods protection
Stand up now, if you got an objection

I think it's love, dont try an stop us
No need to impress
Through this life we'll progress

We'll hold true
Things we never knew
Not as one But Two

Love I never knew
A beginning so true
Lets make our debut

Kiss me, I feel high
Hug me, dont question why
Without you I'd die

One more time, Let me tell you this
I need your love I need your kiss
Never will I miss

Forever and only, baby I love you
What you going to do
Say it back, Ha baby I already knew ;))
