Still Small Voice

From Isaiah 30:21
Far beyond or far behind...I can hear a voice that is still and sublime
It's small but steady
It's sure and strong
It cuts right through the crap from this mindless mad world
It never brags and it never boasts
It tells no false tales
It tells only the truth
When chaos comes along I make the right choice
I hear and I heed Gods still small voice

I look to the left and I look to the right
I hear threats like thunder and screams of strife
Many lies like lightning they scar up clear skies
Through rage and revenge I smile and rejoice
I listen intently to Gods still small voice

Scattered and scared worldly ones run so wild
Like roaches and rats without a clue or a cause
They worship the cruel one as they wait to get crushed
With souls raped and ravaged they stay scorched in the rush
I never mind the nonsense and I never mind the noise
I become what I believe as I live, learn, and listen to Gods still small voice

You can't go wrong reading the Bible, Anthony. God's wisdom is in every verse. I liked your poem and plan to read more about the wisdom, encouragement, blessings of God, etc. His still small voice is with me always. Sometimes He even shouts to get my attention! ~~~Darlene
