Sunflowers bloom beneath a tinted blue sky, white dollop clouds in
Undulating fashion, hovering over yellow petals and deep golden seeds.
Nestled in soil slim tall and beautiful, birthing cordially for the
Floriculturist in all of us. A wide expanse inside a garden, they
Loom, over plants such as Gerberas,  Lilies, Carnations and Limoniums;
Open your window take in the resin scent of their lace. They are a
Wonder of nature, a gift from Mother Earth herself. To name a few,
Echinacea apricot rainbow, Emilia tassel and echinop globe thistles,
Reviving each year with renewed strength they bring us love and beauty .

Premium MemberGerberas For Our First Meeting

Alluring dainty gerberas, a floral gift
Gorgeous in crimson, pearl white and lemony hue.
Long lasting, befitting gift to a lovely lass
Cut fresh from my fragrant old garden where they grew.

Light shown bright in the blue eyes of the receiver,
As she got the first sight of the comely hued bunch,
She smiled knowing full well her appreciation,
Without hesitation she agreed to our lunch.

Leisurely we partook of our refreshing cheer.
Till afterwards we walked towards our lover's road
Hand in hand, in heartfelt love feelings we strolled,
Our first meeting enthralled us as later life showed.

Dreaming

I was like living in the desert
who dreamed for raindrops,
but only sandstorms came--

who dreamed for gerberas too,
but only cactus plants I'd seen--
stinging in my sagging skin.

Premium MemberLong Distance Soul Mate's Love

Like so, our fingers gently entwine
We are in Capistrano again
Gazing at young swallows perched on boughs...
The perpetual murmur of reeds finds me
Entranced by gerberas as they
Unwrap yellow petals along San Juan;
And destined amorousness smiles at us,
This hunger for joy’s effervescence divine.

Unto paths, a slow walk in the chapel
Invites deep prayers humbly offered—
A noble reverence from two soul mates
Knowing this fervidness to love, to give vigorously,
Is one rare pledge without vehemence or question
Where ardor’s thirst reflects a grant from heaven...
Our disquietude tamed by sacred bell chimes ,
Embracing this fate never to be duplicated
In this lifetime when refrains of gratitude knell
At the edge of Capistrano's twilight...
Our long distance affinity armed by flames of hope,
Awaiting God’s will, His veneration.

Premium MemberLapis Legacy

In teal sunset
Gerberas whisper cyan secrets
jade eyes already misty
with turquoise tears
translucent as bee wings
In daisy diaspora they have germinated
a lapis legacy throughout my garden
to peacocks and oceans
enthralling with indigo images
of azure empires
converting with periwinkle prayers
Sapphires burn
in shades of midnight
as amulets to aqua aspirations
As sky darkens and cobalt descends
blue buds dream in cerulean
of cornflower conquests
just as Persians and Egyptians
once sought dominion
from Aegean to Atlantic
Now they will slip
into celestial sleep
scaling steel spruce
until awakening
to a powder morning

Spring Flowers

Azalea of new
Bring the cornflower New
Evening Sun absorbed by the Glory of the snow
Calling upon the peach blossom slow
Ever the Lilacs are mixed fair
Dote on the Gerberas over there
Abridge and count petals of a Greater Celandine
Round about the Croas shines
Irises smile
At the Spoonwood for a mile
Nearing the sweet pea as Axalea of New.

Uninformed Guest

Uninformed Guest

I heard a knock on my door
Rushed out to see my uninformed guest
But saw the glistening shadows of my potted palms
Pansies and colourful gerberas wafting in the wind

About to shut the door I saw a huddled girl
In the corner of my front courtyard
***** but not weird in my country
Baffled if she was a runway
Or suffering from hunger, forced labour or abused
Shrivelled and soaked I brought her in-
gave her the outgrown wear of my daughter-
Offered her hot chocolate which she drank thirstily
The warm food food gobbled down before a second breath
Shocked and outraged at her gestures
Thought it best to call the police

The cordless phone still in my hand
I heard a loud bang of my front door and rushed out
But only saw the glistening shadows of my potted palms
Pansies and colourful gerberas wafting in the wind

Bluebell-Judicious Being

A shade of Turquoise,
Vibrant and lengthy,
Smooth like blueberries,
Thick like quilt,
Wrapped in ribbon,
Neatly and tight.

Eyes like pandas,
Big and bold,
Lashes like spiders,
Most are new,
Some are old,
Like my big red luscious lips (or so I am told).

My big frame and stature,
Is not a match for you,
My retro fashion sense,
Vintage like me,
I'm happy with just flowers,
Gerberas red, pink, yellow and green.

Spring Recital

an attentive passerby can hear the full bloom raucous
gardens have been awakened by the iridescent sun
tulip orchids, with their gray-green leaves of glaucous
heed to chimes of silver and blue bells, rivalry has begun

in full flower, cherry blossoms bask in their self-satisfied beauty
exotic birds of paradise scoff, deeming uniqueness more pleasing
rainbow irises snicker at dahlias, labelling them snooty
lilacs and hyacinths gang up on jasmine with their teasing

competition is fierce, as crocus and primrose compete
impatiens can’t wait to hear who gets the “first spring flower” title
***** willows attempt to tame the tiger lilies, but face defeat
the gerberas were right; this will be one lively spring recital
