Flood fury in Himalayan Kingdom

A stalled monsoon trough over central Nepal
caused continuous torrential heavy rainfall
Slopes pushed up moisture from the Bay of Bengal
The catastrophe was looming large to befall.

Sudden breach of a moraine dam
Triggered Glacial Lake outburst floods
A surge of water and debris devastates
downstream, catching communities off guard.

Landslides continued to collapse slopes,
forming temporary dams that later burst
Steep valleys amplified runoff swift and fast
Flood of fury of all time unleashed the worst.

A compound climate disaster of twin sciences
Meteorology and geology to decipher in depth
monsoon extremes, unstable glaciers, terrain hazards
Perished hundreds of lives and left many homeless.

Sparse sensors, lack of predictive models a curse
Warrant real time glacial monitoring at source
With closely spaced weather station networks
And cross border early warning systems

Fury

Matt sat upon the rooftop

as the rain came down

Below in the courtyard he heard

people moving round,

the thunder rolled with a fury

Such an earth shattering sound

Lightning flashed with equal terror

across the sky

The whole display was quite profound

Her Eyes

Humorless green
Needlessly mean
Her eyes
A nightmare dream

Accusations
Loud but unspoken
Her eyes
Fury unbroken

Stripping my soul
Scorched to the bone
Her eyes
Will never atone

Withholding grace
Emerald trace
Her eyes
Morgue chilled embrace

Epic fury

The splendor of his mad mischief
fell asunder in Minab,
tarnishing his campaign beyond repair.
All malice is unleashed with a touch of morbidity.
His bombing campaign is sudden, fierce, swallows whole neighborhoods in seconds,
yet far below a just war, and a travesty of truth.
Nothing but unjust war reeking through the emperor's clothes.
Solution is just peace.

Premium Member Of Calm and Fury - War and Peace

War stands in the shadow of thunder,
Peace moves quietly in the hush of dawn.
Each holds its shape—one broken, one whole—
Strangers tethered by a world’s longing.
Steel and silence share the same horizon,
But never truly touch.
A soldier in a field dreams of calm,
A child in a garden fears the storm.
They meet in history’s uneasy handshake,
Yet part ways in every heartbeat.
One builds walls, one tears them down,
Always circling, never joined.

Anger

Hannah bashed her dolls’s faces on concrete, ripping off Barbie dolls’ heads and cutting their hair so they looked ugly

She also killed little lizards on their yard. But nobody ever saw her doing those things and she always looked very calm and relaxed

Destructive emotions running in her head she was furious, very angry and mad

But having a perfect pretty face and blonde hair nobody could’ve ever imagined that she could do something so bad

Hanna had become very good at wearing her poker face to hide what was going on inside her head, turmoil and terror
She had practiced to smile for a long time in front of the mirror

Hanna had felt real rage starting to boil inside her when her abuser had found a girlfriend
How dare he replace her like that

Born of Aphrodite's Fury

It vexes me
I toss and turn
I cannot find the words to describe the beauty in sight
For I am a humble man of ink

New words have to be created to describe the fraction of the beauty that you are
But alas I do not hold such power
For I would have created a whole library
Just to describe your beauty, my love

Forgive me my love
For I cannot describe your beauty to the unfortunate who didn't see you
Else the Emperors would have cried and gave you their empires
Just for you to be at their funeral pyres

Some say Aphrodite cried the day the Titan made you
It broke her, it made her irate
She punished the Titan severe
But the Titan was rhapsodic for he knew he bested her

And so you came into this world
Amongst the quarrel of the Gods
Like a ray of light
In my empty life

Fury of Today

The wind's violent surges,
And silent urges
write these defiant verses.

In the fury of today,
no one is here to stay.
So let’s fly far away.

A misfit in eternal blindness

You are so very far away
Like a lone star
In the endless desert of the cosmos
You burn in living fire
Pouring out a radiance
Brighter than the sun itself
Yet you are distant ...so distant
No human eye beholds you
No poet sings of your beauty
No weary soul is warmed by your light
Perhaps one day
You will burst like the stars
Shatter into flame
And bloom like a flower in the void

Epic Fury

The epic game
the epic toys

army daydreams
toys for boys

what happens when
the sandbox grows up

the bigger the wallet… the bigger the wallop
no checks no restraint and… zero hiccups

the brand the launch the video game
where we non-player characters
can dance around a petrol fuelled flame

Tempest Fury

The clouds turn black, a bruised and heavy sky
A sudden gust of wind takes the leaves up high
The animals scurry on as the birds start to fly
The rain starts to patter like a summer in July

A thunder breaks out like a crack of the whip
Lightning strikes close, it makes your heart skip
A flood slowly rises as the ceiling starts to drip
The roof’s about to collapse like a capsizing ship

The winds take turns howling in despair
The lawn decor’s getting tossed up in the air
The rain blows sideways as it cuts and it tears
Mother Nature throws a fit of elemental scares

The warm sun is gone, only gray clouds remain
The silent aftermath leaves only fear and the pain
The effects of a storm that ominously reigned
This tempest leaves its mark like a holy bloodstain

Fury jury chorus of Tyrannosaurus Techs

Feud Tyrannosaurus Techs spewed they must be Taurus

Their notorious own porous homegrown lewd chorus

On a heinous hardcore intravenous tour to floor us

Felling their telling of spoof truths pointless like Icarus

Fury jury swelling..no quelling now imbued enormous

Screwed slewed after being pursued...they deplore us

Mood brewed skewed by a crude & rude thesaurus

Be shrewd make sure this brood are booed eschewed

Moan their scary lairy tone or drone's prone to bore us

Flood's Fury

My heart aches of them,
My mind worries over them;
Their plight in cold breeze-
Fighting fitness to survive,
And still, troubled flood parades!

The vibrant world now rots and wanes,

Premium Member Mother nature's Fury

Mother Nature’s Fury, It begins to rain
Rivers overflowing, roads begin to flood
Devastation everywhere as homes filled with mud
Loss of life and property, oh the heartfelt pain

Mother Nature’s fury, as the story goes
Wild winds begin to roar all across the land
City and towns ravished by deadly tornadoes
Loss of life and property we're dealt a lousy hand

Mother Nature’s fury, dark and gloomy clouds
Thunder booms, Lightning bolts flash
People stare in disbelief, all will cry out loud
God please bring and end to this, please don’t let it last
